1 Againe Dauid gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, euen thirtie thousand,
1 E tornou Davi a ajuntar todos os escolhidos de Israel, em número de trinta mil.
2 And Dauid arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Iudah to bring vp from thence the Arke of God, whose name is called by the Name of the Lord, of hostes, that dwelleth vpon it betweene the Cherubims.
2 E levantou-se Davi e partiu com todo o povo que tinha consigo de Baalá de Judá, para levarem dali para cima a arca de Deus, sobre a qual se invoca o Nome, o nome do Senhor dos Exércitos, que se assenta entre os querubins.
3 And they put the Arke of God vpon a newe cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah. And Vzzah and Ahio the sonnes of Abinadab did driue the newe carte.
3 E puseram a arca de Deus em um carro novo e a levaram da casa de Abinadabe, que está em Geba; e Uzá e Aiô, filhos de Abinadabe, guiavam o carro novo.
4 And when they brought the Arke of God out of the house of Abinadab, that was at Gibeah, Ahio went before the Arke,
4 E, levando-o da casa de Abinadabe, que está em Geba, com a arca de Deus, Aiô ia adiante da arca.
5 And Dauid and al the house of Israel played before the Lord on all instruments made of firre, and on harpes, and on Psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
5 E Davi e toda a casa de Israel alegravam-se perante o Senhor , com toda sorte de instrumentos de madeira de faia, com harpas, e com saltérios, e com tamboris, e com pandeiros, e com címbalos.
6 And when they came to Nachons threshing floore, Vzzah put his hande to the Arke of God, and helde it: for the oxen did shake it.
6 E, chegando à eira de Nacom, estendeu Uzá a mão à arca de Deus e segurou-a, porque os bois a deixavam pender.
7 And the Lord was verie wroth with Vzzah, and God smote him in the same place for his fault, and there he dyed by the Arke of God.
7 Então, a ira do Senhor se acendeu contra Uzá, e Deus o feriu ali por esta imprudência; e morreu ali junto à arca de Deus.
8 And Dauid was displeased, because the Lord had smitten Vzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez Vzzah vntill this day.
8 E Davi se contristou, porque o Senhor abrira rotura em Uzá; e chamou aquele lugar Perez-Uzá, até ao dia de hoje.
9 Therefore Dauid that day feared the Lord, and sayd, How shall the Arke of the Lord come to mee?
9 E temeu Davi ao Senhor naquele dia e disse: Como virá a mim a arca do Senhor ?
10 So Dauid would not bring the Arke of the Lord vnto him into the citie of Dauid, but Dauid caried it into ye house of Obed-edom a Gittite.
10 E não quis Davi retirar para si a arca do Senhor , para a Cidade de Davi; mas Davi a fez levar à casa de Obede-Edom, o geteu.
11 And the Arke of the Lord continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite, three moneths, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom, and all his houshold.
11 E ficou a arca do Senhor em casa de Obede-Edom, o geteu, três meses; e abençoou o Senhor a Obede-Edom e a toda a sua casa.
12 And one told King Dauid, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that hee hath, because of the Arke of God: therefore Dauid went and brought the Arke of God from the house of Obed-edom, into the citie of Dauid with gladnesse.
12 Então, avisaram a Davi, dizendo: Abençoou o Senhor a casa de Obede-Edom e tudo quanto tem, por amor da arca de Deus; foi, pois, Davi e trouxe a arca de Deus para cima, da casa de Obede-Edom, à Cidade de Davi, com alegria.
13 And when they that bare the Arke of the Lord had gone sixe paces, he offred an oxe, and a fatte beast.
13 E sucedeu que, quando os que levavam a arca do Senhor tinham dado seis passos, sacrificava ele bois e carneiros cevados.
14 And Dauid danced before the Lord with al his might, and was girded with a linnen Ephod.
14 E Davi saltava com todas as suas forças diante do Senhor ; e estava Davi cingido de um éfode de linho.
15 So Dauid and all the house of Israel, brought the Arke of the Lord with shouting, and sound of trumpet.
15 Assim subindo, levavam Davi e todo o Israel a arca do Senhor , com júbilo e ao som das trombetas.
16 And as the Arke of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal Sauls daughter looked through a windowe, and sawe King Dauid leape, and dance before the Lord, and shee despised him in her heart.
16 E sucedeu que, entrando a arca do Senhor na Cidade de Davi, Mical, filha de Saul, estava olhando pela janela e, vendo o rei Davi, que ia bailando e saltando diante do Senhor , o desprezou no seu coração.
17 And when they had brought in the Arke of the Lord, they set it in his place, in the mids of the tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it: then Dauid offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings before the Lord.
17 E, introduzindo a arca do Senhor , a puseram no seu lugar, na tenda que Davi lhe armara; e ofereceu Davi holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas perante o Senhor .
18 And assoone as Dauid had made an ende of offring burnt offrings and peace offrings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord of hostes,
18 E, acabando Davi de oferecer os holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas, abençoou o povo em nome do Senhor dos Exércitos.
19 And gaue among all the people, euen among the whole multitude of Israel, aswel to the women as men, to euerie one a cake of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a bottell of wine: so all the people departed euerie one to his house.
19 E repartiu a todo o povo e a toda a multidão de Israel, desde os homens até às mulheres, a cada um, um bolo de pão, e um bom pedaço de carne, e um frasco de vinho; então, foi-se todo o povo, cada um para sua casa.
20 The Dauid returned to blesse his house, and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meete Dauid, and sayde, O howe glorious was the King of Israel this day, which was vncouered to day in the eyes of the maidens of his seruantes, as a foole vncouereth himselfe.
20 E, voltando Davi para abençoar a sua casa, Mical, filha de Saul, saiu a encontrar-se com Davi e disse: Quão honrado foi o rei de Israel, descobrindo-se hoje aos olhos das servas de seus servos, como sem vergonha se descobre qualquer dos vadios.
21 Then Dauid sayd vnto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me rather then thy father, and all his house, and commanded me to bee ruler ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel: and therefore will I play before the Lord,
21 Disse, porém, Davi a Mical: Perante o Senhor que me escolheu a mim antes do que a teu pai e a toda a sua casa, mandando-me que fosse chefe sobre o povo do Senhor , sobre Israel, perante o Senhor me tenho alegrado.
22 And will yet be more vile then thus, and will be low in mine owne sight, and of the verie same maidseruants, which thou hast spoken of, shall I be had in honour.
22 E ainda mais do que isto me envilecerei e me humilharei aos meus olhos; e das servas, de quem falaste, delas serei honrado.
23 Therfore Michal the daughter of Saul had no childe vnto the day of her death.
23 E Mical, filha de Saul, não teve filhos, até ao dia da sua morte.
