1 So Salomon began to buyld the house of the Lord in Ierusalem, in mount Moriah which had bene declared vnto Dauid his father, in the place that Dauid prepared in the thresshing floore of Ornan the Iebusite.
1 Começou Salomão a edificar a Casa do Senhor em Jerusalém, no monte Moriá, onde o Senhor aparecera a Davi, seu pai, lugar que Davi tinha designado na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu.
2 And he beganne to buylde in the seconde moneth and the second day, in the fourth yeere of his reigne.
2 Começou a edificar no segundo mês, no dia segundo, no ano quarto do seu reinado.
3 And these are the measures, whereon Salomon grounded to buylde the house of God: the length of cubites after the first measure was threescore cubites, and the breadth twenty cubites:
3 Foram estas as medidas dos alicerces que Salomão lançou para edificar a Casa de Deus: o comprimento em côvados, segundo o primitivo padrão, sessenta côvados, e a largura, vinte.
4 And the porch, that was before the length in the front of the breadth was twentie cubits, and the height was an hundreth and twentie, and he ouerlayd it within with pure golde.
4 O pórtico diante da casa media vinte côvados no sentido da largura do Lugar Santo, e a altura, cento e vinte, o que, dentro, cobriu de ouro puro.
5 And the greater house he sieled with firre tree which he ouerlayd with good golde, and graued thereon palme trees and chaines.
5 Também fez forrar de madeira de cipreste a sala grande, e a cobriu de ouro puro, e gravou nela palmas e cadeias.
6 And hee ouerlayde the house with precious stone for beautie: and the golde was gold of Paruaim.
6 Também adornou a sala de pedras preciosas; e o ouro era de Parvaim.
7 The house, I say, the beames, postes, and walles thereof and the doores thereof ouerlayde he with gold, and graued Cherubims vpon the walles.
7 Cobriu também de ouro a sala, as traves, os umbrais, as paredes e as portas; e lavrou querubins nas paredes.
8 He made also the house of the most holy place: the length thereof was in the front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twentie cubites: and he ouerlayde it with the best golde, of sixe hundreth talents.
8 Fez mais o Santo dos Santos, cujo comprimento, segundo a largura da sala grande, era de vinte côvados, e também a largura, de vinte; cobriu-a de ouro puro do peso de seiscentos talentos.
9 And the weight of the nayles was fiftie shekels of golde, and hee ouerlayde the chambers with golde.
9 O peso dos pregos era de cinquenta siclos de ouro. Cobriu de ouro os cenáculos.
10 And in the house of the most holy place he made two Cherubims wrought like children, and ouerlayd them with golde.
10 No Santo dos Santos, fez dois querubins de madeira e os cobriu de ouro.
11 And the winges of the Cherubims were twentie cubites long: the one wing was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites, reaching to the wing of the other Cherub.
11 As asas estendidas, juntas, dos querubins mediam o comprimento de vinte côvados; a asa de um deles, de cinco côvados, tocava na parede da casa; e a outra asa, de cinco côvados, tocava na asa do outro querubim.
12 Likewise the wing of ye other Cherub was fiue cubites, reaching to the wall of the house, and the other wing fiue cubites ioyning to the wing of the other Cherub.
12 Também a asa do outro querubim era de cinco côvados e tocava na outra parede; era também a outra asa igualmente de cinco côvados e estava unida à asa do outro querubim. As asas destes querubins se estendiam por vinte côvados;
13 The wings of these Cherubims were spread abroade twentie cubites: they stoode on their feete, and their faces were toward the house.
13 eles estavam postos em pé, e o seu rosto, virado para o Santo Lugar.
14 He made also the vaile of blew silke and purple, and crimosin, and fine linen, and wrought Cherubims thereon.
14 Também fez o véu de estofo azul, púrpura, carmesim e linho fino; e fez bordar nele querubins.
15 And he made before the house two pillars of fiue and thirtie cubites hie: and the chapiter that was vpon the top of eche of them, was fiue cubites.
15 Fez também diante da sala duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura; e o capitel, sobre cada uma, de cinco côvados.
16 He made also chaines for the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars, and made an hundreth pomegranates, and put them among the chaines.
16 Também fez cadeias, como no Santo dos Santos, e as pôs sobre as cabeças das colunas; fez também cem romãs, as quais pôs nas cadeias.
17 And he set vp the pillars before the Temple, one on the right hande and the other on the left, and called that on the right hand Iachin, and that on the left hand Boaz.
17 Levantou as colunas diante do templo, uma à direita, e outra à esquerda; a da direita, chamou-lhe Jaquim, a da esquerda, Boaz.
