1 And when all these thinges were finished, all Israel that were found in the cities of Iudah, went out and brake the images, and cut downe the groues, and brake downe the hie places, and the altars thorowout all Iudah and Beniamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, vntil they had made an ende: afterwarde all the children of Israel returned euery man to his possession, into their owne cities.
1 Quando a festa terminou, os israelitas que haviam participado saíram pelas cidades de Judá, Benjamim, Efraim e Manassés e despedaçaram todas as colunas sagradas, derrubaram os postes de Aserá e removeram os santuários e altares idólatras. Depois disso, voltaram para suas cidades e casas.
2 And Hezekiah appoynted the courses of the Priests and Leuites by their turnes, euery man according to his office, both Priestes and Leuites, for the burnt offring and peace offrings, to minister and to giue thankes, and to prayse in the gates of the tentes of the Lord.
2 Ezequias organizou os sacerdotes e os levitas em divisões, para oferecerem os holocaustos e as ofertas de paz e para servirem, darem graças e louvarem ao S enhor junto às portas da habitação do S enhor .
3 (And the Kings portion was of his owne substance for the burnt offrings, euen for ye burnt offrings of the morning and of the euening, and the burnt offrings for the Sabbaths, and for the new moones, and for the solemne feastes, as it is written in the Law of the Lord)
3 O rei também contribuiu pessoalmente com animais para os holocaustos diários da manhã e da tarde e para os holocaustos dos sábados, das festas da lua nova e das festas anuais prescritas pela lei do S enhor .
4 He commanded also the people that dwelt in Ierusalem, to giue a part to the Priestes, and Leuites, that they might be encouraged in the Law of the Lord.
4 Além disso, ordenou ao povo de Jerusalém que trouxesse uma parte de seus bens para os sacerdotes e os levitas, a fim de que pudessem se dedicar inteiramente à lei do S enhor .
5 And when the commandement was spread, the children of Israel brought abundance of first fruites, of corne, wine, and oyle, and honie, and of all the increase of the fielde, and the tithes of all things brought they abundantly.
5 Quando os israelitas souberam dessa exigência, responderam generosamente e trouxeram a primeira porção de seus cereais, do vinho novo, do azeite, do mel e de tudo que os campos produziam. Trouxeram uma grande quantidade, o dízimo de tudo que haviam produzido.
6 And the children of Israel and Iudah that dwelt in ye cities of Iudah, they also brought the tithes of bullockes and sheepe, and the holy tithes which were consecrate vnto the Lord their God, and laide them on many heapes.
6 Os habitantes de Israel que tinham se mudado para Judá, e os próprios habitantes de Judá, trouxeram o dízimo do gado, das ovelhas, bem como das coisas que haviam sido consagradas ao S enhor , seu Deus, e juntaram tudo em vários montões.
7 In the thirde moneth they beganne to lay the foundation of the heapes, and finished them in the seuenth moneth.
7 Começaram a amontoar as ofertas no terceiro mês e terminaram no sétimo.
8 And when Hezekiah and the princes came, and saw the heapes, they blessed the Lord and his people Israel.
8 Quando Ezequias e seus oficiais viram esses montões, agradeceram ao S enhor e a seu povo, Israel.
9 And Hezekiah questioned with the Priests and the Leuites concerning the heapes.
9 “De onde veio tudo isto?”, perguntou Ezequias aos sacerdotes e aos levitas.
10 And Azariah the chiefe Priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and sayde, Since the people beganne to bring the offrings into the house of the Lord, we haue eaten and haue bene satisfied, and there is left in abundance: for the Lord hath blessed his people, and this abundance that is left.
10 Azarias, o sumo sacerdote, da família de Zadoque, respondeu: “Desde que o povo começou a trazer ofertas para o templo do S enhor , temos alimento suficiente e ainda tem sobrado muito. O S enhor abençoou seu povo, e tudo isto é o que sobra”.
11 And Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord: and they prepared them,
11 Ezequias mandou preparar depósitos no templo do S enhor . Quando estavam prontos,
12 And caryed in the first fruites, and the tithes, and the dedicate things faithfully: and ouer them was Conaniah the Leuite, the chiefe, and Shimei his brother the seconde.
12 o povo trouxe fielmente as ofertas, os dízimos e os objetos consagrados para serem usados no templo. O levita Conanias foi encarregado desses depósitos, e seu irmão Simei era seu auxiliar.
13 And Iehiel, and Azariah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Ierimoth, and Iozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah were ouerseers by the appointment of Conaniah, and Shimei his brother, and by the commandement of Hezekiah the King, and of Azariah the chiefe of the house of God.
13 Os supervisores subordinados a eles eram Jeiel, Azazias, Naate, Asael, Jerimote, Jozabade, Eliel, Ismaquias, Maate e Benaia. As nomeações foram feitas pelo rei Ezequias e por Azarias, o principal encarregado do templo de Deus.
14 And Kore the sonne of Imnah the Leuite porter towarde the East, was ouer the things that were willingly offred vnto God, to distribute the oblations of the Lord, and the holy things that were consecrate.
14 Coré, filho do levita Imna, guarda da porta do Leste, foi encarregado de distribuir as ofertas voluntárias feitas a Deus, as contribuições e os objetos consagrados ao S enhor .
15 And at his hande were Eden, and Miniamin, and Ieshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shechaniah, in the cities of the Priestes, to distribute with fidelitie to their brethren by courses, both to the great and small,
15 Seus assistentes fiéis eram Éden, Miniamim, Jesua, Semaías, Amarias e Secanias. Distribuíam as ofertas entre as famílias dos sacerdotes em suas cidades, de acordo com suas divisões, e as repartiam por igual entre idosos e jovens.
16 Their daily portion: beside their generation being males from three yeere olde and aboue, euen to all that entred into the house of the Lord to their office in their charge, according to their courses:
16 Distribuíam as ofertas a todos os homens e meninos, de 3 anos para cima, que constavam dos registros genealógicos. A distribuição incluía todos que vinham ao templo do S enhor para realizar suas tarefas diárias, de acordo com suas divisões.
17 Both to the generation of the Priestes after the house of their fathers, and to the Leuites from twentie yeere olde and aboue, according to their charge in their courses:
17 Repartiam as ofertas entre os sacerdotes que estavam listados nos registros genealógicos, de acordo com suas famílias, e entre os levitas de 20 anos para cima, anotados de acordo com suas tarefas e divisões.
18 And to the generation of all their children, their wiues, and their sonnes and their daughters throughout all ye Congregation: for by their fidelitie are they partakers of the holy things.
18 Também entregavam porções de alimento às famílias de todos que estavam listados nos registros genealógicos, incluindo as crianças pequenas, as esposas, os filhos e as filhas, pois toda a comunidade havia sido fiel ao se purificar.
19 Also to the sonnes of Aaron, the Priestes, which were in the fieldes and suburbes of their cities, in euery citie the men that were appointed by names, shoulde giue portions to all the males of the Priestes, and to all the generation of the Leuites.
19 Quanto aos sacerdotes, os descendentes de Arão, que viviam nos campos ao redor das cidades, foram nomeados homens para distribuir em porções a todos os sacerdotes e a todos os levitas listados nos registros genealógicos.
20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout al Iudah, and did well, and vprightly, and truely before the Lord his God.
20 Assim, o rei Ezequias organizou a distribuição em todo o Judá, e fez o que era bom, certo e verdadeiro aos olhos do S enhor , seu Deus.
21 And in all the workes that he began for the seruice of the house of God, both in the Law and in the commandements, to seeke his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
21 Em tudo que fez no serviço do templo de Deus e em seus esforços para obedecer à lei e aos mandamentos de Deus, Ezequias buscou seu Deus de todo o coração. Como resultado, foi muito bem-sucedido.
