1 For ye your selues knowe, brethren, that our entrance in vnto you was not in vaine,

2 But euen after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated at Philippi, (as ye knowe) we were bolde in our God, to speake vnto you the Gospell of God with much striuing.

3 For our exhortation was not by deceite, nor by vncleannes, nor by guile.
3 Kwa ayawas botabirin isan ai fefeyan abit men ta baifuwen tur ao, o men ai notamaim not kakafin ta ma, o men ta ai kubibiruwimih.
4 But as we were allowed of God, that the Gospel should be committed vnto vs, so we speake, not as they that please men, but God, which approoueth our hearts.
4 Baise mar etei God abisa kok eo na’atube ao, anayabin God dogorei nutitiy itin, naatu itutumi tur gewasin iti abowabow. Aki men orot baiyasisirih isan abowabowamih, baise God anayabin dogorei etei i fufun so’ob.
5 Neither yet did we euer vse flattering wordes, as ye knowe, nor coloured couetousnes, God is recorde.
5 Kwa taiyuw kwaso’ob aki abinanawani ana veya, men kafa’imo kwa isa awai harewan ya abai ai aa ai tom isan ataratoun, kwa ai fufuwimih, God so’ob aki men abifufuwen.
6 Neither sought we prayse of men, neither of you, nor of others, when we might haue bene chargeable, as the Apostles of Christ.
6 Naatu aki men orot babin, o kwa, o sabuw afa iti baifai isan abowabowamih.
7 But we were gentle among you, euen as a nource cherisheth her children.

8 Thus being affectioned toward you, our good will was to haue dealt vnto you, not the Gospel of God onely, but also our owne soules, because ye were deare vnto vs.
8 Anayabin kwa i aki natunatui na’atube, isa abiyabow kwanekwan. Imih men tur gewasin God biyanane abai anan akisin bairi tafafaram, baise ai yawas auman akwahir kwa isa abi’akir.
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and trauaile: for we laboured day and night, because we would not be chargeable vnto any of you, and preached vnto you the Gospel of God.
9 Abisa ao i kwananot, bairit tama’am ana veya men basit aki ai ma gewas isan kwa bit atit a yababan tara’at, imih aki taiyuwi raro’ai baban ai ma gewas isan, fai mar etei abow, naatu tur gewasin Godane abinan kwanowar.
10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily, and iustly, and vnblameably we behaued our selues among you that beleeue.
10 Kwa matamaim na’atube God matanamaim auman. Kwa iyab kwabitumatum wanawanamaim abowabow i kakafiyinamaim, mutuforomaim, naatu auri ubar en abow.
11 As ye knowe how that we exhorted you, and comforted, and besought euery one of you (as a father his children)
11 Kwanaso’ob, kwa ta’ita’imon etei orot natunatun ebigenamih na’atube aigenami gewas,
12 That ye would walke worthy of God, who hath called you vnto his kingdome and glorie.
12 koufair, koununub ait, abi’afuti. Naatu abifefeyani ayawas i God ana kokokomaim kwanama, anayabin God ana aiwobomaim run ana marakaw bonamanamarin bairi faram isan ea’afi.
13 For this cause also thanke we God without ceasing, that when ye receiued the worde of God, which ye heard of vs, ye receiued it not as the worde of men, but as it is in deede the worde of God, which also worketh in you that beleeue.
13 Naatu aki matan fufur God ana merar ayiy, anayabin God ana tur abai ana abibinan ana veya kwa tur kwanowar naatu kwabaib i men orot hai tur na’atube kwabaimih. Baise God ana tur kwanowar, naatu nati tur i turobe God ana tur. Anayabin kwa iyab iti tur kwanowar kwabitumatum wanawanamaim i God ebowabow.
14 For brethren, ye are become folowers of the Churches of God, which in Iudea are in Christ Iesus, because ye haue also suffred the same things of your owne countrey men, euen as they haue of the Iewes,
14 Taitu kwa i God ana ekaleisia, Judea wanawanan Keriso Jesu hibitumitum kwabi’u’urih. Taiyuw taituwa biyababan hibit na’atube biyababan ta’imon ekaleisia Judea wanawanan ibo Jew taiyuwih taih tuwah biyababan tibitih.
15 Who both killed the Lord Iesus and their owne Prophets, and haue persecuted vs away, and God they please not, and are contrary to all men,
15 Jew taiyuwih Regah Jesu Keriso hi’asabun, naatu dinab oro’orot auman hi’asbunuwen, naatu aki hinuni atit, abisa hibiwa’an God men kafai ebiyasisir, naatu boun sabuw etei isah tibirakit.
16 And forbid vs to preach vnto the Gentiles, that they might be saued, to fulfill their sinnes alwayes: for the wrath of God is come on them, to the vtmost.
16 Anayabin aki binan isan hi’otani, naatu men hikok Ufun Sabuw isah ata binan yawas hitab. Iti na’at hisinaf imih hai kakafin hitutut yey maririb, naatu boun yomaninamaim God ana yaso’ar wan himara’at sawar.
17 For asmuch, brethren, as we were kept from you for a season, concerning sight, but not in the heart, we enforced the more to see your face with great desire.
17 Taitu tuwai’inah, ai notamaim kwa isa men nuhiburumih, naatu hikusibit biyatamaim nanabin tama’am ana veya, ana itinin men manin, baise ai not gagamin na’in i mi’itube yumat ata’itin maiye.
18 Therefore we would haue come vnto you (I Paul, at least once or twise) but Satan hindered vs.
18 Ai kok gagamin i ata matabir maiye ata’iti, ayu Paul taiyuwu mar maumurih maiyow asinaftobon ata matabir maiye ata’iti isan, baise Satan au ef rufut.
19 For what is our hope or ioye, or crowne of reioycing? are not euen you it in the presence of our Lord Iesus Christ at his comming?
19 Anayabin Regah Jesu Keriso namatabir nanan ana veya kwa i aki ai ora’ara’at ana yey, naatu ai siwar, imih aki kwa isa i nuhifot yasisiramaim ama’am, men sabuw afa’amih, sabuw i kwa!
20 Yea, ye are our glory and ioy.
20 Turobe kwa i aki ai ora’ara’at ana siwar naatu ai okawakawasa!
