1 Bvt when Dauid and his men were come to Ziklag the thirde day, the Amalekites had inuaded vpon the South, euen vnto Ziklag, and had smitten Ziklag, and burnt it with fire,
1 E sucedeu, quando Davi e os seus homens haviam chegado a Ziclague, no terceiro dia, que os amalequitas haviam invadido o sul e Ziclague, e ferido a Ziclague, e a queimaram com fogo;
2 And had taken the women that were therein, prisoners, both small and great, and slewe not a man, but caryed them away, and went their wayes.
2 e haviam levado cativas as mulheres que nela estavam: eles não mataram nenhuma delas, nem grande, nem pequena, mas as tomaram, e prosseguiram no seu caminho.
3 So Dauid and his men came to the city, and beholde, it was burnt with fire, and their wiues, and their sonnes, and their daughters were taken prisoners.
3 Então, Davi e os seus homens vieram à cidade, e eis que ela estava queimada pelo fogo; e as suas esposas, e os seus filhos, e as suas filhas tinham sido levados cativos.
4 Then Dauid and the people that was with him, lift vp their voyces and wept, vntill they could weepe no more.
4 Então, Davi e o povo que com ele estava ergueram a sua voz e choraram, até que não tiveram mais força para chorar.
5 Dauids two wiues were taken prisoners also, Ahinoam the Izreelite, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
5 E as duas esposas de Davi foram levadas cativas: Ainoã, a jezreelita, e Abigail, a esposa de Nabal, o carmelita.
6 And Dauid was in great sorowe: for the people entended to stone him, because the heartes of all the people were vexed euery man for his sonnes and for his daughters: but Dauid comforted him selfe in the Lord his God.
6 E Davi ficou mui angustiado; pois o povo falou em apedrejá-lo, porque a alma de todo o povo estava aflita, cada homem por causa dos seus filhos e suas filhas; Davi, porém, animou-se no SENHOR, seu Deus.
7 And Dauid saide to Abiathar the Priest Ahimelechs sonne, I pray thee, bring me the Ephod. And Abiathar brought the Ephod to Dauid.
7 E Davi disse a Abiatar, o sacerdote, filho de Aimeleque: Rogo-te que me traga aqui o éfode. E Abiatar trouxe o éfode para Davi.
8 Then Dauid asked counsell at the Lord, saying, Shall I follow after this companie? shall I ouertake them? And he answered him, Followe: for thou shalt surely ouertake them, and recouer all.
8 E Davi consultou o SENHOR, dizendo: Devo perseguir esta tropa? Devo alcançá-los? E Ele lhe respondeu: Persegue; pois tu certamente os alcançarás, e sem falta recuperará tudo.
9 So Dauid and the sixe hundreth men that were with him, went, and came to the riuer Besor, where a part of them abode:
9 Assim, Davi foi, ele e os seiscentos homens que com ele estavam, e chegou ao ribeiro de Besor, onde permaneciam os que foram deixados para trás.
10 But Dauid and foure hundreth men followed (for two hundreth abode behinde, being too wearie to goe ouer the riuer Besor)
10 Davi porém foi ao encalço, ele e quatrocentos homens; pois duzentos ficaram para trás, os quais estavam tão fragilizados que não conseguiram atravessar o ribeiro de Besor.
11 And they found an Egyptian in the fielde, and brought him to Dauid, and gaue him bread and he did eat, and they gaue him water to drinke.
11 E eles acharam um egípcio no campo, e o trouxeram até Davi, e lhe deram pão, e ele comeu; e o fizeram beber água;
12 Also they gaue him a fewe figges, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirite came againe to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunke any water in three dayes, and three nightes.
12 e eles lhe deram um pedaço de um bolo de figos, e dois cachos de uvas passas; e quando ele terminou de comer, o seu espírito lhe retornou; pois ele não havia comido pão, nem bebido água, havia três dias e três noites.
13 And Dauid saide vnto him, To whome belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he saide, I am a yong man of Egypt, and seruant to an Amalekite: and my master left me three dayes agoe, because I fell sicke.
13 E disse-lhe Davi: A quem tu pertences? E de onde és tu? E ele disse: Eu sou um jovem do Egito, servo de um amalequita; e o meu senhor me abandonou, porque três dias atrás eu caí enfermo.
14 We roued vpon the South of Chereth, and vpon the coast belonging to Iudah, and vpon the South of Caleb, and we burnt Ziklag with fire.
14 Nós fizemos uma invasão ao sul dos queretitas, e ao termo que pertence a Judá, e ao sul de Calebe; e queimamos Ziclague com fogo.
15 And Dauid saide vnto him, Canst thou bring me to this companie? And he said, Sweare vnto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliuer me into the handes of my master, and I will bring thee to this companie.
15 E Davi lhe disse: Podes tu me fazer descer até esta companhia? E ele disse: Jura-me por Deus, que tu não me matarás, nem me entregarás nas mãos do meu senhor, e eu te farei descer até esta companhia.
16 And when he had brought him thither, beholde, they lay scattered abroade vpon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dauncing, because of all the great pray that they had taken out of the lande of the Philistims, and out of the land of Iudah.
16 E quando ele desceu, eis que eles estavam espalhados ao largo de toda a terra, comendo e bebendo, e dançando, por causa de todo o grande despojo que haviam retirado da terra dos filisteus, e da terra de Judá.
17 And Dauid smote them from the twilight, euen vnto the euening of the next morowe, so that there escaped not a man of them, saue foure hundreth yong men, which rode vpon camels, and fled.
17 E Davi os feriu desde o crepúsculo até o anoitecer do dia seguinte; e não escapou dali nenhum dos homens deles, salvo quatrocentos jovens, os quais montaram em camelos e fugiram.
18 And Dauid recouered all that the Amalekites had taken: also Dauid rescued his two wiues.
18 E Davi recuperou tudo o que os amalequitas haviam levado consigo; e Davi resgatou suas duas esposas.
19 And they lacked nothing, small or great, sonne or daughter, or of the spoyle of all that they had taken away: Dauid recouered them all.
19 E não houve nada que lhes faltasse, nem pequeno nem grande, nem filhos, nem filhas, nem despojo, nem coisa alguma que deles haviam levado. Davi recuperou tudo.
20 Dauid also tooke all the sheepe, and the oxen, and they draue them before his cattell, and said, This is Dauids pray.
20 E Davi pegou todos os rebanhos e manadas, os quais eles levavam adiante daquele outro gado, e disse: Este é o despojo de Davi.
21 And Dauid came to the two hundreth men that were too wearie for to follow Dauid: whome they had made also to abide at the riuer Besor: and they came to meete Dauid, and to meete the people that were with him: so when Dauid came neere to the people, hee saluted them.
21 E Davi veio até aos duzentos homens que estavam tão fragilizados que não conseguiram seguir Davi, os quais ele também fez com que permanecessem junto ao ribeiro de Besor; e eles se adiantaram para se encontrar com Davi, e para se encontrar com o povo que com ele estava; e, quando Davi se aproximou do povo, ele os saudou.
22 Then answered all the euill and wicked of the men that went with Dauid, and saide, Because they went not with vs, therefore will wee giue them none of the pray that wee haue recouered, saue to euery man his wife and his children: therefore let them carie them away and depart.
22 Então, responderam todos os homens ímpios, e os homens de Belial, daqueles que foram com Davi, e disseram: Como eles não foram conosco, não lhes daremos nada do despojo que recuperamos, salvo a esposa e os filhos de cada homem, para que eles possam guiá-los para longe e partir.
23 Then saide Dauid, Yee shall not doe so, my brethren, with that which the Lord hath giuen vs, who hath preserued vs, and deliuered the companie that came against vs, into our handes.
23 Então disse Davi: Vós não fareis assim, irmãos meus, com aquilo que o SENHOR nos deu, aquele que nos preservou e entregou na nossa mão a companhia que veio contra nós.
24 For who will obey you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth downe to the battel, so shall his part be, that tarieth by the stuffe: they shall part alike.
24 Pois quem vos atentará nesta questão? Mas como é a parte daquele que desce à batalha, também será a parte daquele que esperou junto aos pertences: eles, igualmente, tomarão parte.
25 So from that day forward hee made it a statute and a lawe in Israel, vntill this day.
25 E assim foi daquele dia em diante: ele fez disso um estatuto e uma ordenança para Israel até este dia.
26 When Dauid therefore came to Ziklag, he sent of the pray vnto the Elders of Iudah and to his friends, saying, See there is a blessing for you of the spoyle of the enemies of the Lord.
26 E quando Davi chegou a Ziclague, ele enviou do despojo aos anciãos de Judá, aos seus amigos, dizendo: Eis aqui um presente para vós do despojo dos inimigos do SENHOR;
27 Hee sent to them of Beth-el, and to them of South Ramoth, and to them of Iattir,
27 para aqueles que estavam em Betel, e para aqueles que estavam no sul de Ramote, e para aqueles que estavam em Jatir,
28 And to them of Aroer, and to them of Siphmoth, and to them of Eshtemoa,
28 e para aqueles que estavam em Aroér, e para aqueles que estavam em Sifmote, e para aqueles que estavam em Estemoa,
29 And to them of Rachal, and to them of the cities of the Ierahmeelites, and to them of the cities of the Kenites,
29 e para aqueles que estavam em Racal, e para aqueles que estavam nas cidades dos jerameelitas, e para aqueles que estavam nas cidades dos queneus,
30 And to them of Hormah, and to them of Chor-ashan, and to them of Athach,
30 e para aqueles que estavam em Horma, e para aqueles que estavam em Borasã, e para aqueles que estavam em Atace,
31 And to them of Hebron, and to all the places where Dauid and his men had hanted.
31 e para aqueles que estavam em Hebrom, e para todos os lugares onde o próprio Davi e os seus homens estavam acostumados a se refugiar.
