1 And Dauid fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and sayd before Ionathan, What haue I done? what is mine iniquitie? and what sinne haue I committed before thy father, that he seeketh my life?
1 E Davi fugiu de Naiote, em Ramá, e veio, e disse diante de Jônatas: O que eu fiz? Qual é a minha iniquidade? E qual é o meu pecado diante do teu pai para que ele busque a minha vida?
2 And he sayde vnto him, God forbid, thou shalt not die: beholde, my father will do nothing great nor small, but he will shewe it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? he will not doe it.
2 E ele lhe disse: Deus o livre, tu não morrerás; eis que o meu pai não fará qualquer coisa grande ou pequena, mas isto ele me mostrará; e por que o meu pai esconderia esta coisa de mim? Não é assim.
3 And Dauid sware againe and sayd, Thy father knoweth that I haue found grace in thine eyes: therefore he thinketh, Ionathan shall not knowe it, lest he be sorie: but in deede, as the Lord liueth, and as thy soule liueth, there is but a step betweene me and death.
3 E Davi também jurou e disse: O teu pai certamente sabe que encontrei graça em teus olhos; e ele disse: Que Jônatas não saiba disso, para que não esteja aflito; mas, verdadeiramente, como vive o SENHOR, e como vive a tua alma, não há nada além de um passo entre mim e a morte.
4 Then said Ionathan vnto Dauid, Whatsoeuer thy soule requireth, that I wil do vnto thee.
4 Então disse Jônatas a Davi: O que quer que deseje a tua alma, eu mesmo farei por ti.
5 And Dauid said vnto Ionathan, Behold, to morowe is the first day of the moneth, and I shoulde sit with the King at meate: but let me goe, that I may hide my selfe in the fieldes vnto the third day at euen.
5 E Davi disse a Jônatas: Eis que amanhã é lua nova, e eu não devo falhar em me assentar com o rei na refeição; mas deixa-me ir, para que eu possa me esconder no campo até o anoitecer do terceiro dia.
6 If thy father make mention of me, then say, Dauid asked leaue of me, that he might goe to Beth-lehem to his owne citie: for there is a yeerely sacrifice for all that familie.
6 Se o teu pai sentir mesmo a minha falta, então diz: Davi muito seriamente me pediu para sair para que pudesse correr até Belém, sua cidade; pois há lá um sacrifício anual para toda a família.
7 And if he say thus, It is well, thy seruant shall haue peace: but if he be angrie, be sure that wickednesse is concluded of him.
7 Se ele disser assim: Está bem; o teu servo terá paz; mas se ele ficar muito nervoso, então esteja certo de que o mal está determinado por ele.
8 So shalt thou shew mercy vnto thy seruant: for thou hast ioyned thy seruant into a couenant of the Lord with thee, and if there be in me iniquitie, slay thou me: for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father?
8 Portanto, tratarás com bondade o teu servo; pois trouxeste o teu servo a um pacto do SENHOR contigo; não obstante, se em mim houver iniquidade, mata-me tu mesmo; afinal por que deverias tu me levar ao teu pai?
9 And Ionathan answered, God keepe that from thee: for if I knewe that wickednesse were concluded of my father to come vpon thee, would not I tell it thee?
9 E Jônatas disse: Longe esteja isto de ti; pois se eu soubesse com certeza que o mal estava determinado pelo meu pai sobre ti, não to diria eu?
10 Then said Dauid to Ionathan, Who shall tell me? how shall I knowe, if thy father answere thee cruelly?
10 Então disse Davi a Jônatas: Quem me contará? Ou, e se o teu pai te responder rudemente?
11 And Ionathan sayde to Dauid, Come and let vs goe out into the fielde: and they twaine went out into the fielde.
11 E Jônatas disse a Davi: Vem e saiamos ao campo. E saíram ambos ao campo.
12 Then Ionathan sayde to Dauid, O Lord God of Israel, when I haue groped my fathers minde to morow at this time, or within this three dayes, and if it be well with Dauid, and I then send not vnto thee, and shewe it thee,
12 E Jônatas disse a Davi: Ó SENHOR Deus de Israel, quando eu tiver sondado o meu pai a este respeito, amanhã, a qualquer hora, ou no terceiro dia, e eis que se houver bem para com Davi, e eu não to enviar, e to mostrar;
13 The Lord doe so and much more vnto Ionathan: but if my father haue minde to doe thee euill, I will shew thee also, and sende thee away, that thou mayest goe in peace: and the Lord be with thee as he hath bene with my father.
13 que o SENHOR assim o faça e muito mais a Jônatas; mas se aprouver ao meu pai fazer-te o mal, então eu to mostrarei, e te mandarei embora, para que possas ir em paz; e o SENHOR esteja contigo, como tem estado com o meu pai.
14 Likewise I require not whiles I liue: for I dout not but thou wilt shew me the mercy of the Lord, that I die not.
14 E tu não somente demonstrarás a bondade do SENHOR enquanto eu ainda viver, para que eu não morra;
15 But I require that thou cut not off thy mercie from mine house for euer: no, not when the Lord hath destroyed the enemies of Dauid, euery one from the earth.
15 como também não cortarás a tua bondade da minha casa para todo o sempre; não, nem quando o SENHOR tiver cortado os inimigos de Davi, cada um deles, da face da terra.
16 So Ionathan made a bond with the house of Dauid, saying, Let the Lord require it at the hands of Dauids enemies.
16 Assim, Jônatas fez um pacto com a casa de Davi, dizendo: Que o SENHOR até mesmo isto requeira da mão dos inimigos de Davi.
17 And againe Ionathan sware vnto Dauid, because he loued him (for he loued him as his owne soule)
17 E Jônatas fez com que Davi jurasse novamente, porque o amava; pois ele o amava como amava a sua própria alma.
18 Then said Ionathan to him, To morowe is the first day of the moneth: and thou shalt be looked for, for thy place shalbe emptie.
18 Então, Jônatas disse a Davi: Amanhã é a lua nova; e a tua falta será sentida, porque o teu assento estará vazio.
19 Therefore thou shalt hide thy selfe three dayes, then thou shalt goe downe quickely and come to the place where thou diddest hide thy selfe, when this matter was in hand, and shalt remayne by the stone Ezel.
19 E quando tiveres permanecido por três dias, então descerás rapidamente, e virás ao lugar onde te escondias quando o negócio estava à mão, e permanecerás junto à pedra de Ezel.
20 And I will shoote three arrowes on the side thereof, as though I shot at a marke.
20 E eu atirarei três flechas para o teu lado, como se atirasse a um alvo.
21 And after I wil sende a boy, saying, Goe, seeke the arrowes. If I say vnto the boy, See, the arrowes are on this side thee, bring them, and come thou: for it is well with thee and no hurt, as the Lord liueth.
21 E eis que te enviarei um jovem, dizendo: Vai e encontra as flechas. Se eu disser expressamente ao jovem: Eis que as flechas estão neste teu lado, apanha-as; depois vem; pois há paz para ti, e nenhuma ferida; como vive o SENHOR.
22 But if I say thus vnto the boy, Behold, the arrowes are beyonde thee, goe thy way: for the Lord hath sent thee away.
22 Mas se eu disser isto ao jovem: Eis que as flechas estão além de ti; segue o teu caminho; pois o SENHOR te mandou embora.
23 As touching the thing which thou and I haue spoken of, beholde, the Lord be betweene thee and me for euer.
23 E no tocante à questão que tu e eu falamos, que o SENHOR esteja entre mim e ti para sempre.
24 So Dauid hid him selfe in the field: and when the first day of the moneth came, the King sate to eate meate.
24 Assim, Davi se escondeu no campo; e, quando a lua nova chegou, o rei se assentou para comer carne.
25 And the King sate, as at other times vpon his seate, euen vpon his seate by the wall: and Ionathan arose, and Abner sate by Sauls side, but Dauids place was emptie.
25 E o rei se assentou sobre o seu assento, como nas outras vezes, sobre um assento junto à parede; e Jônatas se levantou, e Abner se assentou ao lado de Saul, e o lugar de Davi estava vago.
26 And Saul sayde nothing that day: for hee thought, Some thing hath befallen him, though he were cleane, or els becaus he was not purified.
26 Todavia Saul nada falou naquele dia, pois pensou: Algo lhe sobreveio, ele não está limpo; seguramente ele não está limpo.
27 But on the morowe which was the second day of the moneth, Dauids place was emptie againe: and Saul sayde vnto Ionathan his sonne, Wherefore commeth not the sonne of Ishai to meate, neither yesterday nor to day?
27 E sucedeu, pela manhã, o segundo dia do mês, que o lugar de Davi estava vago; e Saul disse a Jônatas, seu filho: Por que não veio o filho de Jessé comer, nem ontem, nem hoje?
28 And Ionathan answered vnto Saul, Dauid required of me, that he might goe to Beth-lehem.
28 E Jônatas respondeu a Saul: Davi me pediu seriamente para ir a Belém;
29 For he sayde, Let me goe, I pray thee: for our familie offreth a sacrifice in the citie, and my brother hath sent for me: therfore now if I haue found fauour in thine eyes, let me goe, I pray thee, and see my brethren: this is the cause that he commeth not vnto the Kings table.
29 e ele disse: Deixa-me ir, rogo-te; pois a nossa família tem um sacrifício na cidade; e o meu irmão, ele me ordenou a ir para lá; e, agora, se tenho achado favor aos teus olhos, deixa-me partir, rogo-te, para ver os meus irmãos. Por isso não vem ele à mesa do rei.
30 Then was Saul angrie with Ionathan, and sayde vnto him, Thou sonne of the wicked rebellious woman, doe not I know, that thou hast chosen the sonne of Ishai to thy confusion, and to the confusion and shame of thy mother?
30 Então, a ira de Saul acendeu-se contra Jônatas, e ele lhe disse: Tu, filho da mulher rebelde pervertida, não sei eu que escolheste o filho de Jessé para a tua própria confusão, e para a confusão da nudez da tua mãe?
31 For as long as the sonne of Ishai liueth vpon the earth, thou shalt not be stablished, nor thy kingdome: wherefore now send and fet him vnto me, for he shall surely die.
31 Pois, enquanto viver o filho de Jessé sobre o chão, tu não serás estabelecido, nem o teu reino. Por isso, agora, manda apanhá-lo para mim, pois ele certamente morrerá.
32 And Ionathan answered vnto Saul his father, and said vnto him, Wherefore shall he die? what hath he done?
32 E Jônatas respondeu a Saul, seu pai, e lhe disse: Por que ele deve ser morto? O que fez ele?
33 And Saul cast a speare at him to hit him, whereby Ionathan knew, that it was determined of his father to slay Dauid.
33 E Saul atirou um dardo contra ele para atingi-lo; pelo que Jônatas soube que seu pai estava determinado a matar Davi.
34 So Ionathan arose from the table in a great anger, and did eate no meate the seconde day of the moneth: for he was sorie for Dauid, and because his father had reuiled him.
34 Assim, Jônatas se levantou da mesa mui irado, e não comeu carne no segundo dia do mês; pois estava aflito por Davi, porque o seu pai lhe havia feito vergonha.
35 On the next morning therefore Ionathan than went out into the fielde, at the time appoynted with Dauid, and a litle boy with him.
35 E sucedeu que, pela manhã, Jônatas saiu para o campo na hora marcada com Davi, e com ele um jovem pequeno.
36 And he saide vnto his boy, Runne now, seeke the arrowes which I shoote, and as the boy ran, he shot an arrowe beyond him.
36 E ele disse ao seu jovem: Corre, encontra agora as flechas que atirei. E enquanto o jovem corria, ele atirou uma flecha para além dele.
37 And when the boy was come to the place where the arrowe was that Ionathan had shot, Ionathan cryed after the boy, and sayde, Is not the arrowe beyond thee?
37 E quando o jovem havia chegado ao lugar da flecha que Jônatas havia atirado, Jônatas gritou ao jovem, e disse: Não está a flecha além de ti?
38 And Ionathan cryed after the boy, Make speede, haste and stand not still: and Ionathans boy gathered vp the arrowes, and came to his master,
38 E Jônatas gritou para o jovem: Apressa-te, rápido, não te detenhas. E o jovem de Jônatas apanhou as flechas, e veio ao seu senhor.
39 But the boy knewe nothing: onely Ionathan and Dauid knew the matter.
39 Porém o jovem não sabia de coisa alguma; somente Jônatas e Davi conheciam o assunto.
40 Then Ionathan gaue his bowe and arrowes vnto the boy that was with him, and sayd vnto him, Goe, carrie them into the citie.
40 E Jônatas deu a sua artilharia ao seu jovem, e lhe disse: Vai, leva-os até a cidade.
41 Assoone as the boy was gone, Dauid arose out of a place that was towarde the South, and fel on his face to the ground, and bowed him selfe three times: and they kissed one another, and wept both twaine, till Dauid exceeded.
41 E assim que o jovem se foi, Davi se levantou de um lugar em direção ao sul, e caiu sobre a sua face em terra, e se curvou três vezes; e eles se beijaram, e choraram juntos, até Davi se exceder.
42 Therefore Ionathan said to Dauid, Goe in peace: that which we haue sworne both of vs in the Name of the Lord, saying, The Lord be betweene me and thee, and betweene my seede and betweene thy seede, let it stand for euer.
42 E Jônatas disse a Davi: Vai em paz, porquanto nós dois juramos em nome do SENHOR, dizendo: O SENHOR esteja entre mim e ti, e entre a minha semente e a tua semente para sempre. E ele se levantou e partiu; e Jônatas entrou na cidade.
43 And he arose and departed, and Ionathan went into the citie.
