1 And in the foure hundreth and foure score yeere (after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt) and in the fourth yere of the reigne of Salomon ouer Israel, in the moneth Zif, (which is the second moneth) he built the house of the Lord.
1 Sucedeu, pois, que no ano quatrocentos e oitenta depois de saírem os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito, no quarto ano do reinado de Salomão sobre Israel, no mês de zive, que é o segundo mês, começou-se a edificar a casa do Senhor.
2 And the house which King Salomon built for the Lord, was three score cubites long, and twentie broade, and thirtie cubites hie.
2 Ora, a casa que e rei Salomão edificou ao Senhor era de sessenta côvados de comprimento, vinte côvados de largura, e trinta côvados de altura.
3 And the porch before the Temple of the house was twentie cubites long according to the breadth of the house, and ten cubites broade before the house.
3 E o pórtico diante do templo da casa era de vinte côvados de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, e de dez côvados de largura.
4 And in the house he made windowes, broad without, and narrowe within.
4 E fez para a casa janelas de gelósias fixas.
5 And by the wall of the house hee made galleries round about, euen by the walles of the house round about the Temple and the oracle, and made chambers round about.
5 Edificou andares em torno da casa, contra a parede, tanto do templo como do oráculo, fazendo assim câmaras laterais ao seu redor.
6 The nethermost gallerie was fiue cubites broade, and the middlemost sixe cubites broade, and the third seuen cubites broade: for he made restes round about without the house, that the beames should not be fastened in the walles of the house.
6 A câmara de baixo era de cinco côvados, a do meio de seis côvados, e a terceira de sete côvados de largura. E do lado de fora, ao redor da casa, fez pilastras de reforço, para que as vigas não se apoiassem nas paredes da casa.
7 And when the house was built, it was built of stone perfite, before it was brought, so that there was neither hammer, nor axe, nor any toole of yron heard in the house, while it was in building.
7 E edificava-se a casa com pedras lavradas na pedreira; de maneira que nem martelo, nem machado, nem qualquer outro instrumento de ferro se ouviu na casa enquanto estava sendo edificada.
8 The doore of the middle chamber was in the right side of the house, and men went vp with winding stayres into the middlemost, and out of the middlemost into the third.
8 A porta para as câmaras laterais do meio estava à banda direita da casa; e por escadas espirais subia-se ao andar do meio, e deste ao terceiro.
9 So he built the house and finished it, and sieled the house being vawted with sieling of cedar trees.
9 Assim, pois, edificou a casa, e a acabou, cobrindo-a com traves e pranchas de cedro.
10 And he built the galleries vpon al the wall of the house of fiue cubites height, and they were ioyned to the house with beames of cedar.
10 Também edificou os andares, contra toda a casa, de cinco côvados de altura, e os ligou à casa com madeira de cedro.
11 And the worde of the Lord came to Salomon, saying,
11 Então veio a palavra do Senhor a Salomão, dizendo:
12 Cocerning this house which thou buildest, if thou wilt walke in mine ordinances, and execute my iudgements, and keepe al my commadements, to walke in them, then will I performe vnto thee my promise, which I promised to Dauid thy father.
12 Quanto a esta casa que tu estás edificando, se andares nos meus estatutos, e executares os meus preceitos, e guardares todos os meus mandamentos, andando neles, confirmarei para contigo a minha palavra, que falei a Davi, teu pai;
13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and wil not forsake my people Israel.
13 e habitarei no meio dos filhos de Israel, e não desampararei o meu povo de Israel.
14 So Salomon built the house and finished it,
14 Salomão, pois, edificou aquela casa, e a acabou.
15 And built the walles of the house within, with boards of cedar tree from the pauement of the house vnto the walles of the sieling, and within he couered them with wood, and couered the floore of the house with planks of firre.
15 Também cobriu as paredes da casa por dentro com tábuas de cedro; desde o soalho da casa até e teto, tudo cobriu com madeira por dentro; e cobriu o soalho da casa com tábuas de cipreste.
16 And he built twentie cubites in the sides of the house with boards of cedar, from the floore to the walles, and he prepared a place within it for the oracle, euen the most holy place.
16 A vinte côvados do fundo da casa fez de tábuas de cedro uma divisão, de altura igual à do teto; e por dentro a preparou para o oráculo, isto é, para a lugar santíssimo.
17 But the house, that is, the Temple before it, was fourtie cubites long.
17 E era a casa, isto é, o templo fronteiro ao oráculo, de quarenta côvados de comprido.
18 And the cedar of the house within was carued with knops, and grauen with floures: all was cedar, so that no stone was seene.
18 O cedro da casa por dentro era lavrado de botões e flores abertas; tudo era cedro; pedra nenhuma se via.
19 Also he prepared the place of the oracle in the mids of the house within, to set the Arke of the couenant of the Lord there.
19 No meio da casa, na parte mais interior, preparou o oráculo, para pôr ali a arca do pacto do Senhor.
20 And the place of the oracle within was twentie cubites long, and twentie cubites broad, and twentie cubites hie, and hee couered it with pure golde, and couered the altar with cedar.
20 E o oráculo era, por dentro, de vinte côvados de comprimento, vinte de largura e vinte de altura; e o cobriu de ouro puro. Também cobriu de cedro o altar.
21 So Salomon couered the house within with pure golde: and he shut the place of the oracle with chaines of gold, and couered it with golde.
21 Salomão, pois, cobriu a casa por dentro de ouro puro; e estendeu cadeias de ouro diante do oráculo, que cobriu também de ouro.
22 And he ouerlayde all the house with gold, vntill all the house was made perfite. also he couered the whole altar, that was before the oracle, with golde.
22 Assim cobriu inteiramente de ouro a casa toda; também cobriu de ouro todo o altar do oráculo.
23 And within the oracle he made two Cherubims of oliue tree, ten cubites hie.
23 No oráculo fez dois querubins de madeira de oliveira, cada um com dez côvados de altura.
24 The wing also of the one Cherub was fiue cubites, and the wing of the other Cherub was fiue cubites: from the vttermost part of one of his wings vnto the vttermost part of the other of his wings, were ten cubites.
24 Uma asa de um querubim era de cinco côvados, e a outra de cinco côvados; dez côvados havia desde a extremidade de uma das suas asas até a extremidade da outra.
25 Also the other Cherub was of ten cubites: both the Cherubims were of one measure and one sise.
25 Assim era também o outro querubim; ambos os querubins eram da mesma medida e do mesmo talho.
26 For the height of the one Cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other Cherub.
26 Um querubim tinha dez côvados de altura, e assim também o outro.
27 And he put the Cherubims within the inner house, and the Cherubims stretched out their wings, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other Cherub touched the other wall: and their other wings touched one another in the middes of the house.
27 E pôs os querubins na parte mais interior da casa. As asas dos querubins se estendiam de maneira que a asa de um tocava numa parede, e a do outro na outra parede, e as suas asas no meio da casa tocavam uma na outra.
28 And he ouerlaied the Cherubims with golde.
28 Também cobriu de ouro os querubins.
29 And he carued all the walles of the house round about with grauen figures of Cherubims and of Palmetrees, and grauen flowres within and without.
29 Quanto a todas as paredes da casa em redor, entalhou-as de querubins, de palmas e de palmas abertas, tanto na parte mais interior como na mais exterior.
30 And the floore of the house hee couered with golde within and without.
30 Também cobriu de ouro o soalho da casa, de uma e de outra parte.
31 And in the entring of the oracle he made two doores of oliue tree: and the vpper post and side postes were fiue square.
31 E para a entrada do oráculo fez portas de madeira de oliveira; a verga com os umbrais faziam a quinta parte da parede.
32 The two doores also were of oliue tree, and he graued them with grauing of Cherubims and palme trees, and grauen floures, and couered them with golde, and layed thin golde vpon the Cherubims and vpon the palme trees.
32 Assim fez as duas portas de madeira de oliveira; e entalhou-as de querubins, de palmas e de flores abertas, que cobriu de ouro também estendeu ouro sobre os querubins e sobre as palmas.
33 And so made he for the doore of the Temple, postes of oliue tree foure square.
33 Assim também fez para a porta do templo umbrais de madeira de oliveira, que constituíam a quarta parte da parede;
34 But the two doores were of firre tree, the two sides of the one doore were round, and the two sides of the other doore were round.
34 E eram as duas partes de madeira de cipreste; e as duas folhas duma porta eram dobradiças, como também as duas folhas da outra porta.
35 And he graued Cherubims, and palme trees, and carued floures and couered the carued worke with golde, finely wrought.
35 E as lavrou de querubins, de palmas e de flores abertas; e as cobriu de ouro acomodado ao lavor.
36 And hee built the court within with three rowes of hewed stone, and one rowe of beames of cedar.
36 Também edificou o átrio interior de três ordens de pedras lavradas e de uma ordem de vigas de cedro.
37 In the fourth yeere was the foundation of the house of the Lord layed in the moneth of Zif:
37 No quarto ano se pôs o fundamento da casa do Senhor, no mês de zive.
38 And in the eleuenth yeere in the moneth of Bul, (which is the eight moneth) hee finished the house with all the furniture thereof, and in euery point: so was he seuen yeere in building it.
38 E no undécimo ano, no mês de bul, que é o oitavo mês, se acabou esta casa com todas as suas dependências, e com tudo o que lhe convinha. Assim levou sete anos para edificá-la.
