1 Bvt King Salomon loued many outlandish women: both the daughter of Pharaoh, and the women of Moab, Ammon, Edom, Zidon and Heth,
1 Ora, além da filha de Faraó, amou Salomão muitas mulheres estrangeiras: moabitas, amonitas, edomitas, sidônias e heteias,
2 Of the nations, whereof the Lord had sayd vnto the children of Israel, Goe not ye in to them, nor let them come in to you: for surely they will turne your hearts after their gods, to them, I say, did Salomon ioyne in loue.
2 mulheres das nações de que havia o Senhor dito aos filhos de Israel: Não caseis com elas, nem casem elas convosco, pois vos perverteriam o coração, para seguirdes os seus deuses. A estas se apegou Salomão pelo amor.
3 And he had seuen hundreth wiues, that were princesses, and three hundreth concubines, and his wiues turned away his heart.
3 Tinha setecentas mulheres, princesas e trezentas concubinas; e suas mulheres lhe perverteram o coração.
4 For when Salomon was olde, his wiues turned his heart after other gods, so that his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of Dauid his father.
4 Sendo já velho, suas mulheres lhe perverteram o coração para seguir outros deuses; e o seu coração não era de todo fiel para com o Senhor , seu Deus, como fora o de Davi, seu pai.
5 For Salomon followed Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
5 Salomão seguiu a Astarote, deusa dos sidônios, e a Milcom, abominação dos amonitas.
6 So Salomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, but continued not to follow the Lord, as did Dauid his father.
6 Assim, fez Salomão o que era mau perante o Senhor e não perseverou em seguir ao Senhor , como Davi, seu pai.
7 Then did Salomon build an hie place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, in the mountaine that is ouer against Ierusalem, and vnto Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
7 Nesse tempo, edificou Salomão um santuário a Quemos, abominação de Moabe, sobre o monte fronteiro a Jerusalém, e a Moloque, abominação dos filhos de Amom.
8 And so did he for all his outlandish wiues, which burnt incense and offered vnto their gods.
8 Assim fez para com todas as suas mulheres estrangeiras, as quais queimavam incenso e sacrificavam a seus deuses.
9 Therefore the Lord was angry with Salomon, because hee had turned his heart from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared vnto him twise,
9 Pelo que o Senhor se indignou contra Salomão, pois desviara o seu coração do Senhor , Deus de Israel, que duas vezes lhe aparecera.
10 And had giuen him a charge concerning this thing, that he should not follow other gods: but he kept not that, which the Lord had commanded him.
10 E acerca disso lhe tinha ordenado que não seguisse a outros deuses. Ele, porém, não guardou o que o Senhor lhe ordenara.
11 Wherefore the Lord sayd vnto Salomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my couenant, and my statutes (which I commanded thee) I will surely rent the kingdome from thee, and will giue it to thy seruant.
11 Por isso, disse o Senhor a Salomão: Visto que assim procedeste e não guardaste a minha aliança, nem os meus estatutos que te mandei, tirarei de ti este reino e o darei a teu servo.
12 Notwithstanding in thy dayes I will not doe it, because of Dauid thy father, but I will rent it out of the hand of thy sonne:
12 Contudo, não o farei nos teus dias, por amor de Davi, teu pai; da mão de teu filho o tirarei.
13 Howbeit I wil not rent all the Kingdome, but will giue one tribe to thy sonne, because of Dauid my seruant, and because of Ierusalem which I haue chosen.
13 Todavia, não tirarei o reino todo; darei uma tribo a teu filho, por amor de Davi, meu servo, e por amor de Jerusalém, que escolhi.
14 Then the Lord stirred vp an aduersarie vnto Salomon, euen Hadad the Edomite, of the Kings seede, which was in Edom.
14 Levantou o Senhor contra Salomão um adversário, Hadade, o edomita; este era da linhagem real de Edom.
15 For when Dauid was in Edom, and Ioab the captaine of the hoste had smitten all the males in Edom, and was gone vp to bury ye slaine,
15 Porque, estando Davi em Edom e tendo subido Joabe, comandante do exército, a sepultar os mortos, feriu todos os varões em Edom.
16 (For six moneths did Ioab remaine there, and all Israel, till he had destroyed all the males in Edom)
16 (Porque Joabe ficou ali seis meses com todo o Israel, até que eliminou todos os varões em Edom.)
17 Then this Hadad fled and certaine other Edomites of his fathers seruants with him, to goe into Egypt, Hadad being yet a litle childe.
17 Hadade, porém, fugiu, e, com ele, alguns homens edomitas, dos servos de seu pai, para ir ao Egito; era Hadade ainda muito jovem.
18 And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran, and tooke men with them out of Paran, and came to Egypt vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, which gaue him an house, and appointed him vitailes, and gaue him lande.
18 Partiram de Midiã e seguiram a Parã, de onde tomaram consigo homens e chegaram ao Egito, a Faraó, rei do Egito, o qual deu a Hadade uma casa, e lhe prometeu sustento, e lhe deu terras.
19 So Hadad found great fauour in the sight of Pharaoh, and he gaue him to wife the sister of his owne wife, euen the sister of Tahpenes the Queene.
19 Achou Hadade grande mercê por parte de Faraó, tanta que este lhe deu por mulher a irmã de sua própria mulher,
20 And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his sonne, whome Tahpenes wayned in Pharaohs house: and Genubath was in Pharaohs house among the sonnes of Pharaoh.
20 a irmã de Tafnes, a rainha. A irmã de Tafnes deu-lhe à luz seu filho Genubate, o qual Tafnes criou na casa de Faraó, onde Genubate ficou entre os filhos de Faraó.
21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt, that Dauid slept with his fathers, and that Ioab the captaine of the hoste was dead, Hadad sayde to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may goe to mine owne countrey.
21 Tendo, pois, Hadade ouvido no Egito que Davi descansara com seus pais e que Joabe, comandante do exército, era morto, disse a Faraó: Deixa-me voltar para a minha terra.
22 But Pharaoh saide vnto him, What hast thou lacked with me, that thou wouldest thus go to thine owne countrey? And he answered, Nothing, but in any wise let me goe.
22 Então, Faraó lhe disse: Pois que te falta comigo, que procuras partir para a tua terra? Respondeu ele: Nada; porém deixa-me ir.
23 And God stirred him vp another aduersarie, Rezon the sonne of Eliada, which fled from his lorde Hadadezer King of Zobah.
23 Também Deus levantou a Salomão outro adversário, Rezom, filho de Eliada, que havia fugido de seu senhor Hadadezer, rei de Zobá.
24 And he gathered men vnto him, and had bene captaine ouer the company, when Dauid slew them. And they went to Damascus, and dwelt there, and they made him King in Damascus.
24 Ele ajuntou homens e se fez capitão de um bando; depois do morticínio feito por Davi, eles se foram para Damasco, onde habitaram e onde constituíram rei a Rezom.
25 Therefore was he an aduersarie to Israel all the daies of Salomon: besides the euil that Hadad did, he also abhorred Israel, and reigned ouer Aram
25 Este foi adversário de Israel por todos os dias de Salomão, fez-lhe mal como Hadade, detestava a Israel e reinava sobre a Síria.
26 And Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat an Ephrathite of Zereda Salomons seruant (whose mother was called Zeruah a widowe) lift vp his hand against the King.
26 Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, efraimita de Zereda, servo de Salomão, e cuja mãe era mulher viúva, por nome Zerua, levantou a mão contra o rei.
27 And this was the cause that he lift vp his hande against the King, When Salomon built Millo, he repared the broken places of the citie of Dauid his father.
27 Esta foi a causa por que levantou a mão contra o rei: Salomão estava edificando a Milo e terraplenando depressões da Cidade de Davi, seu pai.
28 And this man Ieroboam was a man of strength and courage, and Salomon seeing that the yong man was meete for the worke, he made him ouerseer of all the labour of the house of Ioseph.
28 Ora, vendo Salomão que Jeroboão era homem valente e capaz, moço laborioso, ele o pôs sobre todo o trabalho forçado da casa de José.
29 And at that time, when Ieroboam went out of Ierusalem, the Prophet Ahiiah the Shilonite founde him in the way, hauing a newe garment on him, and they two were alone in ye field.
29 Sucedeu, nesse tempo, que, saindo Jeroboão de Jerusalém, o encontrou o profeta Aías, o silonita, no caminho; este se tinha vestido de uma capa nova, e estavam sós os dois no campo.
30 Then Ahiiah caught the newe garment that was on him, and rent it in twelue pieces,
30 Aías pegou na capa nova que tinha sobre si, rasgou-a em doze pedaços
31 And said to Ieroboam, Take vnto thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Beholde, I wil rent the kingdome out of ye hands of Salomon, and will giue ten tribes to thee.
31 e disse a Jeroboão: Toma dez pedaços, porque assim diz o Senhor , Deus de Israel: Eis que rasgarei o reino da mão de Salomão, e a ti darei dez tribos.
32 But he shall haue one tribe for my seruant Dauids sake, and for Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel,
32 Porém ele terá uma tribo, por amor de Davi, meu servo, e por amor de Jerusalém, a cidade que escolhi de todas as tribos de Israel.
33 Because they haue forsaken me, and haue worshipped Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the Ammonites, and haue not walked in my wayes (to do right in mine eyes, and my statutes, and my lawes) as did Dauid his father.
33 Porque Salomão me deixou e se encurvou a Astarote, deusa dos sidônios, a Quemos, deus de Moabe, e a Milcom, deus dos filhos de Amom; e não andou nos meus caminhos para fazer o que é reto perante mim, a saber, os meus estatutos e os meus juízos, como fez Davi, seu pai.
34 But I will not take the whole kingdome out of his hande: for I will make him prince all his life long for Dauid my seruants sake, whome I haue chosen, and who kept my commandements and my statutes.
34 Porém não tomarei da sua mão o reino todo; pelo contrário, fá-lo-ei príncipe todos os dias da sua vida, por amor de Davi, meu servo, a quem elegi, porque guardou os meus mandamentos e os meus estatutos.
35 But I will take the kingdome out of his sonnes hand, and will giue it vnto thee, euen the ten tribes.
35 Mas da mão de seu filho tomarei o reino, a saber, as dez tribos, e tas darei a ti.
36 And vnto his sonne will I giue one tribe, that Dauid my seruant may haue a light alway before me in Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen me, to put my Name there.
36 E a seu filho darei uma tribo; para que Davi, meu servo, tenha sempre uma lâmpada diante de mim em Jerusalém, a cidade que escolhi para pôr ali o meu nome.
37 And I wil take thee, and thou shalt reigne, euen as thine heart desireth, and shalt be King ouer Israel.
37 Tomar-te-ei, e reinarás sobre tudo o que desejar a tua alma; e serás rei sobre Israel.
38 And if thou hearken vnto all that I commande thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and doe right in my sight, to keepe my statutes and my commandements, as Dauid my seruant did, then will I be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built vnto Dauid, and wil giue Israel vnto thee.
38 Se ouvires tudo o que eu te ordenar, e andares nos meus caminhos, e fizeres o que é reto perante mim, guardando os meus estatutos e os meus mandamentos, como fez Davi, meu servo, eu serei contigo, e te edificarei uma casa estável, como edifiquei a Davi, e te darei Israel.
39 And I will for this afflict the seede of Dauid, but not for euer.
39 Por isso, afligirei a descendência de Davi; todavia, não para sempre.
40 Salomon sought therefore to kill Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fled into Egypt vnto Shishak King of Egypt, and was in Egypt vntil the death of Salomon.
40 Pelo que Salomão procurou matar a Jeroboão; este, porém, se dispôs e fugiu para o Egito, a ter com Sisaque, rei do Egito; e ali permaneceu até à morte de Salomão.
41 And the rest of the wordes of Salomon, and all that he did, and his wisedom, are they not written in the booke of the actes of Salomon?
41 Quanto aos mais atos de Salomão, a tudo quanto fez, e à sua sabedoria, porventura, não estão escritos no Livro da História de Salomão?
42 The time that Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel, was fourtie yeere.
42 Foi de quarenta anos o tempo que reinou Salomão em Jerusalém sobre todo o Israel.
43 And Salomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.
43 Descansou com seus pais e foi sepultado na Cidade de Davi, seu pai; e Roboão, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
