1 So when Dauid was olde and full of dayes, he made Salomon his sonne King ouer Israel.
1 Quando já era bem velho, Davi constituiu o seu filho Salomão rei sobre Israel.
2 And hee gathered together all the princes of Israel with the Priestes and the Leuites.
2 Davi reuniu todos os chefes de Israel, bem como os sacerdotes e levitas.
3 And the Leuites were numbred from ye age of thirtie yeere and aboue, and their nomber according to their summe was eight and thirtie thousand men.
3 Foram contados os levitas de trinta anos para cima, e seu número, contados um por um, foi de trinta e oito mil homens.
4 Of these foure and twentie thousande were set to aduance the worke of the house of the Lord, and sixe thousand were ouerseers and iudges.
4 Destes, havia vinte e quatro mil para supervisionarem a obra da Casa do Senhor , seis mil oficiais e juízes,
5 And foure thousand were porters, and foure thousande praised the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
5 quatro mil porteiros e quatro mil para louvarem o Senhor com os instrumentos que Davi fez para esse fim.
6 So Dauid deuided offices vnto them, to wit, to the sonnes of Leui, to Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
6 Davi os repartiu por turnos, segundo os filhos de Levi: Gérson, Coate e Merari.
7 Of the Gershonites were Laadan and Shimei.
7 Os filhos de Gérson foram: Ladã e Simei.
8 The sonnes of Laadan, the chiefe was Iehiel, and Zetham and Ioel, three.
8 Os filhos de Ladã foram: Jeiel, o chefe, Zetã e Joel, três ao todo.
9 The Sonnes of Shimei, Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haram, three: these were the chiefe fathers of Laadan.
9 Os filhos de Simei foram: Selomite, Haziel e Harã, três ao todo. Estes foram os chefes das famílias de Ladã.
10 Also the sonnes of Shimei were Iahath, Zina, Ieush, and Beriah: these foure were ye sonnes of Shimei.
10 Os filhos de Simei foram: Jaate, Ziza, Jeús e Berias. Estes foram os filhos de Simei, quatro ao todo.
11 And Iahath was the chiefe, and Zizah the seconde, but Ieush and Beriah had not many sonnes: therfore they were in the families of their father, counted but as one.
11 Jaate era o chefe e Ziza era o segundo. Jeús e Berias não tiveram muitos filhos e por isso estes dois foram contados como uma só família.
12 The sonnes of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron aud Vzziel, foure.
12 Os filhos de Coate foram: Anrão, Isar, Hebrom e Uziel, quatro ao todo.
13 The sonnes of Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated to sanctifie the most holy place, hee and his sonnes for euer to burne incense before the Lord, to minister to him, and to blesse in his Name for euer.
13 Os filhos de Anrão foram: Arão e Moisés. Arão foi separado para servir no Santo dos Santos, ele e os seus filhos, para sempre, e para queimar incenso diante do Senhor , para o servir e para dar a bênção em seu nome, para sempre.
14 Moses also the man of God, and his children were named with the tribe of Leui.
14 Quanto a Moisés, homem de Deus, seus filhos foram contados entre a tribo de Levi.
15 The sonnes of Moses were Gershom, and Eliezer,
15 Os filhos de Moisés foram: Gérson e Eliézer.
16 Of the sonnes of Gershom was Shebuel the chiefe.
16 O filho de Gérson foi Sebuel, o chefe.
17 And the sonne of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chiefe: for Eliezer had none other sonnes: but the sonnes of Rehabiah were very many.
17 O filho de Eliézer foi Reabias, o chefe; e ele não teve outros filhos; mas os filhos de Reabias se multiplicaram grandemente.
18 The sone of Izhar was Shelomith ye chiefe.
18 Os filhos de Isar foram: Selomite, o chefe.
19 The sonnes of Hebron were Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the third, and Iekamiam the fourth.
19 Os filhos de Hebrom foram: Jerias, o chefe, Amarias, o segundo, Jaaziel, o terceiro, e Jecameão, o quarto.
20 The sones of Vzziel were Michah the first, and Isshiah the second.
20 Os filhos de Uziel foram: Mica, o chefe, e Issias, o segundo.
21 The sonnes of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sonnes of Mahli, Eleazar and Kish.
21 Os filhos de Merari foram: Mali e Musi. Os filhos de Mali foram: Eleazar e Quis.
22 And Eleazar dyed, and had no sonnes, but daughters, and their brethren the sonnes of Kish tooke them.
22 Eleazar morreu e não teve filhos, porém filhas; e os filhos de Quis, seus parentes, casaram com elas.
23 The sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth, three.
23 Os filhos de Musi foram: Mali, Éder e Jerimote, três ao todo.
24 These were the sonnes of Leui according to the house of their fathers, euen the chiefe fathers according to their offices, according to the nomber of names and their summe that did the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord from the age of twentie yeeres and aboue.
24 Estes foram os filhos de Levi, segundo as suas famílias e chefes delas, segundo foram contados nominalmente, um por um, de vinte anos para cima, encarregados do ministério da Casa do Senhor .
25 For Dauid sayde, The Lord God of Israel hath giuen rest vnto his people, that they may dwell in Ierusalem for euer.
25 Porque Davi disse: — O
26 And also the Leuites shall no more beare the Tabernacle and al the vessels for the seruice thereof.
26 Assim, os levitas já não precisarão levar o tabernáculo e nenhum dos utensílios para o seu ministério.
27 Therefore according to the last wordes of Dauid, the Leuites were nombred from twentie yeere and aboue,
27 Porque, segundo as últimas palavras de Davi, foram contados os filhos de Levi de vinte anos para cima.
28 And their office was vnder the hand of the sonnes of Aaron, for the seruice of the house of the Lord in the courtes, and chambers, and in the purifiyng of all holy thinges, and in the worke of the seruice of the house of God,
28 O serviço deles era ajudar os filhos de Arão no ministério da Casa do Senhor , nos átrios e nas câmaras, na purificação de todas as coisas sagradas e na obra do ministério da Casa de Deus,
29 Both for the shewbread, and for the fine floure, for the meate offring, and for the vnleauened cakes, and for the fryed things, and for that which was rosted, and for all measures and cise,
29 a saber, cuidar dos pães da proposição, da melhor farinha para a oferta de cereais, dos bolos sem fermento, das ofertas assadas e das misturadas com azeite, bem como dos pesos e das medidas.
30 And for to stand euery morning, to giue thanks and praise to the Lord, and likewise at euen,
30 Deviam estar presentes todas as manhãs e todas as tardes para darem graças ao Senhor e o louvarem,
31 And to offer all burnt offrings vnto the Lord, in the Sabbaths, in the moneths, and at the appointed times, according to the nomber and according to their custome continually before the Lord,
31 e sempre que fossem oferecidos os holocaustos do Senhor , nos sábados, nas Festas da Lua Nova e nas festas fixas, diante do Senhor , segundo o número determinado.
32 And that they should keepe the charge of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the charge of ye holy place, and the charge of ye sonnes of Aaron their brethren in the seruice of ye house of the Lord.
32 Os filhos de Levi deviam cuidar da tenda do encontro e do santuário e deviam ajudar os filhos de Arão, seus irmãos, no ministério da Casa do Senhor .
