1 And Dauid saide, This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar for the burnt offring of Israel.
1 Então disse Davi: "Este é o lugar para o templo de Deus, o Senhor, e do altar de holocaustos para Israel".
2 And Dauid commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the lande of Israel, and he set masons to hewe and polish stones to builde the house of God.
2 Então Davi deu ordens para que se reunissem os estrangeiros que viviam em Israel, e dentre eles designou cortadores de pedra para prepararem pedras lavradas para a construção do templo de Deus.
3 Dauid also prepared much yron for the nayles of the doores and of the gates, and for the ioynings, and abundance of brasse passing weight,
3 Ele providenciou grande quantidade de ferro para a fabricação de pregos e dobradiças para as portas, e mais bronze do que se podia pesar.
4 And cedar trees without nomber: for the Zidonians and they of Tyrus brought much cedar wood to Dauid.
4 Também providenciou mais toras de cedro do que se podia contar, pois os sidônios e os tírios haviam trazido muito cedro para Davi.
5 And Dauid saide, Salomon my sonne is yong and tender, and we must builde an house for the Lord, magnificall, excellent and of great fame and dignitie throughout all countreyes. I will therefore nowe prepare for him. So Dauid prepared very much before his death.
5 Davi pensava: "Meu filho Salomão é jovem e inexperiente, e o templo que será construído para o Senhor deve ser extraordinariamente magnífico, famoso e cheio de esplendor à vista de todas as nações. Por isso deixarei tudo preparado para a construção". Assim, Davi deixou tudo preparado antes de morrer.
6 Then he called Salomon his sonne, and charged him to builde an house for the Lord God of Israel.
6 Davi mandou chamar seu filho Salomão e ordenou que ele construísse um templo para o Senhor, o Deus de Israel,
7 And Dauid said to Salomon, My sonne, I purposed with my selfe to builde an house to the Name of the Lord my God,
7 dizendo: "Meu filho, eu tinha no coração o propósito de construir um templo em honra do nome do Senhor, o meu Deus.
8 But the worde of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed much blood, and hast made great battels: thou shalt not builde an house vnto my Name: for thou hast shead much blood vpon the earth in my sight.
8 Mas veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor: ‘Você matou muita gente e empreendeu muitas guerras. Por isso você não construirá um templo em honra do meu nome, pois derramou muito sangue na terra, diante de mim.
9 Beholde, a sonne is borne to thee, which shalbe a man of rest, for I will giue him rest from all his enemies rounde about: therefore his name is Salomon: and I will sende peace and quietnes vpon Israel in his dayes.
9 Mas você terá um filho que será um homem de paz, e eu farei com que ele tenha paz com todos os inimigos ao redor dele. Seu nome será Salomão, e eu darei paz e tranqüilidade a Israel durante o reinado dele.
10 Hee shall builde an house for my Name, and he shalbe my sonne, and I will be his father, and I will establish the throne of his kingdome vpon Israel for euer.
10 É ele que vai construir um templo em honra do meu nome. Eu serei seu pai e ele será meu filho. E eu firmarei para sempre o trono do reinado dele sobre Israel’.
11 Nowe therefore my sonne, the Lord shalbe with thee, and thou shalt prosper, and thou shalt builde an house to the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken of thee.
11 "Agora, meu filho, que o Senhor seja com você, para que você consiga construir o templo do Senhor, o seu Deus, conforme ele disse que você faria.
12 Onely the Lord giue thee wisedome and vnderstanding, and giue thee charge ouer Israel, euen to keepe the Lawe of the Lord thy God.
12 Que o Senhor lhe dê prudência e entendimento para que você obedeça à lei do Senhor, o seu Deus, quando ele o puser como líder de Israel.
13 Then thou shalt prosper, if thou take heede to obserue the statutes and the iudgements which the Lord commanded Moses for Israel: be strong and of good courage: feare not, neither bee afraide.
13 E você prosperará se for cuidadoso em obedecer aos decretos e às leis que o Senhor deu a Israel por meio de Moisés. Seja forte e corajoso! Não tenha medo nem se desanime!
14 For beholde, according to my pouertie haue I prepared for the house of the Lord an hundreth thousand talents of golde, and a thousand thousande talents of siluer, and of brasse and of yron passing weight: for there was abundance: I haue also prepared timber and stone, and thou mayest prouide more thereto.
14 "Com muito esforço providenciei para o templo do Senhor três mil e quinhentas toneladas de ouro, trinta e cinco mil toneladas de prata, e tanto bronze e ferro que nem dá para calcular, além de madeira e pedra. E você ainda poderá aumentar a quantidade desse material.
15 Moreouer thou hast workmen with thee enough, hewers of stone, and workemen for timber, and all men expert in euery worke.
15 Você tem muitos trabalhadores: cortadores de pedras, pedreiros e carpinteiros, bem como especialistas em todo tipo de trabalho
16 Of golde, of siluer, and of brasse, and of yron there is no nomber: Vp therefore, and be doing, and the Lord wilbe with thee.
16 em ouro, prata, bronze e ferro. Agora comece o trabalho, e que o Senhor esteja com você".
17 Dauid also commanded all the princes of Israel to helpe Salomon his sonne, saying,
17 Então Davi ordenou a todos os líderes de Israel que ajudassem seu filho Salomão.
18 Is not the Lord your God with you, and hath giuen you rest on euerie side? for hee hath giuen the inhabitants of the land into mine hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and before his people.
18 Disse ele: "Certamente o Senhor, o seu Deus, está com vocês, e lhes concedeu paz. Pois ele entregou os habitantes dessa terra em minhas mãos, e ela foi submetida ao Senhor e ao seu povo.
19 Nowe set your hearts and your soules to seeke the Lord your God, and arise, and builde the Sanctuarie of the Lord God to bring the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God into the house built for the Name of the Lord.
19 Agora consagrem o coração e a alma para buscarem o Senhor, o seu Deus. Comecem a construir o santuário de Deus, o Senhor, para que vocês possam trazer a arca da aliança do Senhor e os utensílios sagrados que pertencem a Deus para dentro do templo que será construído em honra do nome do Senhor".
