1 Concerning the gathering for the Saintes, as I haue ordeined in the Churches of Galatia, so doe ye also.
1 Ora, quanto à coleta para os santos fazei vós também o mesmo que ordenei às igrejas da Galiléia.
2 Euery first day of the weeke, let euery one of you put aside by himselfe, and lay vp as God hath prospered him, that then there be no gatherings when I come.
2 No primeiro dia da semana cada um de vós ponha de parte o que puder, conforme tiver prosperado, guardando-o, para que se não façam coletas quando eu chegar.
3 And when I am come, whomsoeuer ye shall alowe by letters, them will I send to bring your liberalitie vnto Hierusalem.
3 E, quando tiver chegado, mandarei os que por carta aprovardes para levar a vossa dádiva a Jerusalém;
4 And if it be meete that I goe also, they shall goe with me.
4 mas, se valer a pena que eu também vá, irão comigo.
5 Nowe I will come vnto you, after I haue gone through Macedonia (for I will passe through Macedonia.)
5 Irei, porém, ter convosco depois de ter passado pela Macedônia, pois tenho de passar pela Macedônia;
6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, or winter with you, that ye may bring me on my way, whither soeuer I goe.
6 e talvez demore convosco algum tempo, ou mesmo passe o inverno, para que me encaminheis para onde quer que eu for.
7 For I will not see you nowe in my passage, but I trust to abide a while with you, if the Lord permit.
7 Pois não quero ver-vos desta vez apenas de passagem, antes espero ficar convosco algum tempo, se o Senhor o permitir.
8 And I wil tary at Ephesus vntill Pentecost.
8 Ficarei, porém, em Éfeso até o Pentecostes;
9 For a great doore and effectuall is opened vnto me: and there are many aduersaries.
9 porque uma porta grande e eficaz se me abriu; e há muitos adversários.
10 Nowe if Timotheus come, see that he be without feare with you: for he worketh the worke of the Lord, euen as I doe.
10 Ora, se Timóteo for, vede que esteja sem temor entre vós; porque trabalha na obra do Senhor, como eu também,
11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conuey him foorth in peace, that he may come vnto me: for I looke for him with the brethren.
11 Portanto ninguém o despreze; mas encaminhai-o em paz, para que venha ter comigo, pois o espero com os irmãos.
12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him, to come vnto you with the brethren: but his mind was not at all to come at this time: howbeit he will come when he shall haue conuenient time.
12 Quanto ao irmão Apolo, roguei-lhe muito que fosse com os irmãos ter convosco; mas de modo algum quis ir agora; irá porém, quando se lhe ofereça boa ocasião.
13 Watch ye: stand fast in the faith: quite you like men, and be strong.
13 Vigiai, estai firmes na fé, portai-vos varonilmente, sede fortes.
14 Let all your things be done in loue.
14 Todas as vossas obras sejam feitas em amor.
15 Nowe brethren, I beseeche you (ye knowe the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruites of Achaia, and that they haue giuen themselues to minister vnto the Saintes)
15 Agora vos rogo, irmãos-pois sabeis que a família de Estéfanas é as primícias da Acaía, e que se tem dedicado ao ministério dos santos-
16 That ye be obedient euen vnto such, and to all that helpe with vs and labour.
16 que também vos sujeiteis aos tais, e a todo aquele que auxilia na obra e trabalha.
17 I am glad of the comming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for they haue supplied the want of you.
17 Regozijo-me com a vinda de Estéfanas, de Fortunato e de Acaico; porque estes supriram o que da vossa parte me faltava.
18 For they haue comforted my spirite and yours: acknowledge therefore such men.
18 Porque recrearam o meu espírito assim como o vosso. Reconhecei, pois, aos tais.
19 The Churches of Asia salute you: Aquila and Priscilla with ye Church that is in their house, salute you greatly in the Lord.
19 As igrejas da Ásia vos saúdam. Saúdam-vos afetuosamente no Senhor Aqüila e Prisca, com a igreja que está em sua casa.
20 All the brethren greete you. Greete ye one another, with an holy kisse.
20 Todos os irmãos vos saúdam. Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo.
21 The salutation of me Paul with mine owne hand.
21 Esta saudação é de meu próprio punho, Paulo.
22 If any man loue not the Lord Iesus Christ, let him be had in execration maran-atha.
22 Se alguém não ama ao Senhor, seja anátema! Maranata.
23 The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you.
23 A graça do Senhor Jesus seja convosco.
24 My loue be with you all in Christ Iesus, Amen. ‘The first Epistle to the Corinthians, written from Philippi, and sent by Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, and Timotheus.’
24 O meu amor seja com todos vós em Cristo Jesus.
