Kitaaba Qulqulluu, Hiikkaa Ammayyaa Banamaa Haaraa, Loqoda Dhiʼaa (GAZ) vs VC

3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 qooda kanaa miidhaginni keessan miidhagina keessa namummaa keessanii haa taʼu; innis miidhagina hafuura garraamii fi tasgabbaaʼaa, kan hin badne, kan fuula Waaqaa duratti gatii guddaa qabu haa taʼu.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Dubartoonni qulqulloonni durii warri Waaqa abdatanis akkasuma dhirsoota isaaniitiif ajajamuudhaan of miidhagsan;
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Dhuma irratti hundi keessan yaada tokko qabaadhaa; walii naʼaa; akka obbolootaatti wal jaalladhaa; garaa laafotaa fi warra gad of qabanis taʼaa.

9 Hamaa, hamaadhaan hin deebisinaa; yookaan arrabsoo, arrabsoodhaan hin deebisinaa; qooda kanaa eebbisaa. Isinis akka eebba dhaaltaniif kanumaaf waamamtaniitii.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 “Namni jireenya jaallatu,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Inni hammina irraa deebiʼee gaarii haa hojjetu;
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Iji Gooftaa qajeeltota irra jiraatii;
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Isin gaarii hojjechuuf yoo hinaaftan, eenyutu isin miidha?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Garuu yoo qajeelummaaf jettanii dhiphattan isin eebbifamoo dha. “Sodaachisuu isaanii hin sodaatinaa; hin jeeqaminaas.”
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Garuu garaa keessan keessatti Kiristoos Gooftichaaf ulfina guddaa kennaa. Nama sababii abdii isin qabdan sanaa isin gaafatu kamiif iyyuu deebii kennuuf yeroo hunda qophaaʼaa. Waan kana immoo garraamummaa fi sodaan godhaa;
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 isinis yommuu namoonni waaʼee keessan waan hamaa dubbatanitti akka warri amala gaarii isin Kiristoos keessatti qabdan sana arrabsan qaanaʼaniif yaada gaarii qabaadhaa.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Dhiphachuun keessan fedhii Waaqaa yoo taʼe, hamaa hojjettanii dhiphachuu irra gaarii hojjettanii dhiphachuu wayya.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Kiristoosis Waaqatti isin fiduuf jedhee inni qajeelaan, warra qajeeltota hin taʼiniif siʼa tokko cubbuuf dhiphateeraatii. Inni fooniin ni ajjeefame; Hafuuraan garuu jiraataa taasifame;
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 bishaan kun fakkeenya cuuphaa amma iyyuu isin fayyisuu ti; kunis dhagna irraa xurii baasuu utuu hin taʼin qalbii qulqulluun Waaqaaf waadaa galuu dha. Innis duʼaa kaʼuu Yesuus Kiristoosiin isin fayyisa;
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Kiristoos samiitti ol baʼee mirga Waaqaa jira; ergamoonni Waaqaa, aangoowwanii fi humnoonni hundinuu isa jalatti bulu.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
