The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs NTLH
1 For this Malki-Zedek is king of Sholim, the priest of Aloha the Most High. And he (it was who) met Abraham when he returned from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him.
1 Esse Melquisedeque era rei da cidade de Salém e sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo. Quando Abraão estava voltando da batalha em que matou os reis, Melquisedeque foi ao encontro dele e o abençoou.
2 And to him Abraham separated the tenth from every thing which he had with him. Now his name, being expounded, (is,) the King of Righteousness; and again, MalekSholem, which is, King of peace:
2 Abraão lhe deu a décima parte de tudo o que ele havia tomado dos inimigos na batalha. O nome de Melquisedeque quer dizer primeiramente “Rei da Justiça”. E, porque ele era rei de Salém , o seu nome também quer dizer “Rei da Paz”.
3 whose father and mother were not written in the genealogies; neither the beginning of his days, nor the conclusion of his life; but in the likeness (of that) of THE SON OF ALOHA standeth his priesthood for ever.
3 Não se conhece o pai, nem a mãe, nem qualquer antepassado de Melquisedeque. E também não se sabe nada sobre o seu nascimento ou sobre a sua morte. Por ser como o Filho de Deus, ele continua sacerdote para sempre.
4 But see how great this (person was,) that Abraham, head of the fathers, gave to him the tenths and the choicest things.
4 Vejam como Melquisedeque era grande: Abraão, o patriarca , lhe deu a décima parte de tudo o que havia tomado dos inimigos na batalha.
5 For they of the sons of Levi who have received the priesthood, have a commandment of the law to receive tenths from the people, they from their brethren, they also from the loins of Abraham having sprung.
5 Conforme a Lei de Moisés, os sacerdotes, que são descendentes de Levi, têm a obrigação de receber do povo a décima parte de tudo. Eles recebem dos seus próprios patrícios, embora estes também sejam descendentes de Abraão.
6 But he who is not written in their genealogies took tithes from ABRAHAM, and blessed him who had received the promise.
6 Melquisedeque não era descendente de Levi, mas recebeu a décima parte daquilo que Abraão havia tomado na batalha e o abençoou. Sim, abençoou o próprio Abraão, que havia recebido as promessas de Deus.
7 But, without controversy, he who is less is blessed by one who is Greater than himself.
7 Não há dúvida de que aquele que abençoa é mais importante do que aquele que é abençoado.
8 And here the sons of men who die receive the tithes; but there he concerning whom the scripture testifieth that he liveth.
8 No caso dos sacerdotes, a décima parte é recebida por homens que um dia vão morrer. Mas, no caso de Melquisedeque, como dizem as Escrituras Sagradas , a décima parte foi recebida por alguém que continua vivo .
9 And as one may say, by the hand of Abraham, even Levi, he who taketh tithes, himself also is tithed.
9 Portanto, quando Abraão pagou a décima parte, Levi, cujos descendentes recebem a décima parte, também pagou.
10 For he was yet in the loins of his father when he met Malki-Zedek.
10 Pois Levi não tinha nascido, e, por assim dizer, ainda estava no corpo do seu antepassado Abraão quando este se encontrou com Melquisedeque.
11 If, therefore, Perfection were to be through the priesthood of the Levoyee, by which the law has been put upon the people, why was there another Priest required, who should arise in the resemblance of Malki-Zedek? For he had said, In the likeness of Aharun he shall be.
11 A lei que o povo de Israel recebeu se baseava no sacerdócio dos levitas . Ora, se o trabalho dos sacerdotes levitas tivesse sido perfeito, não haveria necessidade de aparecer outro tipo de sacerdote, da ordem do sacerdócio de Melquisedeque e não da ordem de Arão .
12 But as a change hath been made in the priesthood, so is there also a change made in the law.
12 Pois, quando se muda o sacerdócio, a lei também precisa ser mudada.
13 For he concerning whom these things are said was born from another tribe, from which no man hath ministered at the altar.
13 E o nosso Senhor Jesus, a respeito de quem são ditas essas coisas, pertencia a outra tribo . E nenhum membro dessa tribo jamais serviu como sacerdote.
14 For it is manifest that from Jihuda arose our Lord, from the tribe of whom Musha hath said nothing concerning priesthood.
14 É sabido que, por nascimento, Jesus, o nosso Senhor, pertencia à tribo de Judá, e Moisés não disse nada dessa tribo quando falou a respeito de sacerdotes.
15 And again: it is more fully known by that which hath said, In the likeness of MalkiZedek ariseth another Priest;
15 E tudo isso se torna bem mais claro, pois surgiu um sacerdote diferente, parecido com Melquisedeque.
16 who was made not by the law of bodily commandments, but in the power of a life which is indissoluble.
16 Ele não foi feito sacerdote pelas leis ou regras humanas, porém se tornou sacerdote por meio do poder de uma vida que não tem fim.
17 For he testifieth concerning him, Thou art a Priest for evermore according to the likeness of Malki-Zedek.
17 Porque as Escrituras Sagradas dizem: “Você será sacerdote para sempre, na ordem do sacerdócio de Melquisedeque.”
18 But the change which was made in the first institution was on account of its powerlessness, and because profit was not in it.
18 Assim a regra antiga foi anulada porque era fraca e inútil.
19 For the law perfected nothing: but instead of it a hope has entered which is more excellent, (and) by which we are brought nigh unto Aloha.
19 Pois a lei não podia aperfeiçoar nada. Mas agora Deus nos deu uma esperança melhor, por meio da qual chegamos perto dele.
20 And he hath confirmed it unto us in an oath.
20 Além disso, há o juramento de Deus. Não houve juramento quando os outros se tornaram sacerdotes.
21 For they were made priests without an oath; but this with an oath: as he said unto him by the hand of David, The Lord hath sworn and will not lie, that thou art the Priest for ever in the likeness of Malki-Zedek.
21 Porém houve juramento quando Jesus se tornou sacerdote, pois Deus lhe disse: “O Senhor jurou e não voltará atrás. Ele disse: ‘Você será sacerdote para sempre.’ ”
22 In all this more excellent is the covenant of (which) Jeshu is the sponsor .
22 Portanto, essa diferença também faz com que Jesus seja a garantia de uma aliança melhor.
23 There were (moreover) many priests, because they were dying, and were not permitted to remain.
23 Há ainda outra diferença: os outros sacerdotes foram muitos porque morriam e não podiam continuar o seu trabalho.
24 But because this (one) standeth for ever, his priesthood passeth not away.
24 Mas Jesus vive para sempre, e o seu sacerdócio não passa para ninguém.
25 And he is able to save for eternity them who approach by him unto Aloha; for he liveth through all time, and offereth up prayers on their behalf.
25 E por isso ele pode, hoje e sempre, salvar as pessoas que vão a Deus por meio dele, porque Jesus vive para sempre a fim de pedir a Deus em favor delas.
26 For such an High Priest as this was adequate for us; pure, and without evil, and without spot; who was separate from sins, and exalted higher than heaven.
26 Por isso Jesus é o Grande Sacerdote de que necessitamos. Ele é perfeito e não tem nenhum pecado ou falha. Ele foi separado dos pecadores e elevado acima dos céus .
27 With him there was no necessity daily, like the chief of the priests, that first for his own sins he should offer sacrifices, and then on behalf of the people: for this he did once when in himself he offered.
27 Ele não é como os outros Grandes Sacerdotes; não precisa oferecer sacrifícios todos os dias, primeiro pelos seus próprios pecados e depois pelos pecados do povo. Ele ofereceu um sacrifício, uma vez por todas, quando se ofereceu a si mesmo.
28 For the law constituted infirm men priests; but the word of the oath, which was subsequent to the law, (hath constituted) THE SON perfect for evermore.
28 A Lei de Moisés escolheu homens, que são imperfeitos, para serem Grandes Sacerdotes. Mas, pela promessa feita com juramento, a qual veio depois da Lei de Moisés, Deus escolhe o Filho, que se tornou perfeito para sempre.
