1 In manifold portions and in all manners, spake Aloha with our fathers by the prophets from the first: but in these last days he hath spoken with us by his Son;
1 Havendo Deus antigamente falado muitas vezes, e de muitas maneiras, aos pais, pelos profetas,
2 whom he constituted the heir of every thing, and by whom he made the worlds;
2 nestes últimos dias a nós nos falou pelo Filho, a quem constituiu herdeiro de todas as coisas, e por quem fez também o mundo;
3 who himself is the resplendence of his glory, and the image of his Being, and upholdeth all (things) by the power of his word; and he, in his (own) person, hath made purification of sins, and hath sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high .
3 sendo ele o resplendor da sua glória e a expressa imagem do seu Ser, e sustentando todas as coisas pela palavra do seu poder, havendo ele mesmo feito a purificação dos pecados, assentou-se à direita da Majestade nas alturas,
4 And this (person) is altogether more excellent than the angels, by so much as the name he hath inherited (is) more excellent than theirs.
4 feito tanto mais excelente do que os anjos, quanto herdou mais excelente nome do que eles.
5 For unto which one from (among) the angels at any time said Aloha, Thou art MY SON; I to-day have begotten thee? And again, I will be to him the Father, and he shall be to me the Son?
5 Pois a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Tu és meu Filho, hoje te gerei? E outra vez: Eu lhe serei Pai, e ele me será Filho?
6 But again, when bringing in the First-begotten into the world, he said, Let all the angels of Aloha worship him.
6 E outra vez, ao introduzir no mundo o primogênito, diz: E todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.
7 But concerning the angels, thus hath he spoken: Who hath made his angels spirit, and his ministers a flaming fire.
7 Ora, quanto aos anjos, diz: Quem de seus anjos faz ventos, e de seus ministros labaredas de fogo.
8 But concerning the Son he hath said, Thy throne, Aloha, (is) for ever and ever, a right sceptre (is) the sceptre of thy kingdom.
8 Mas do Filho diz: O teu trono, ó Deus, subsiste pelos séculos dos séculos, e cetro de eqüidade é o cetro do teu reino.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hast hated iniquity; therefore Aloha thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of exultation more (abundantly) than thy fellows.
9 Amaste a justiça e odiaste a iniqüidade; por isso Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria, mais do que a teus companheiros;
10 And again, Thou in the beginning hast laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
10 e: Tu, Senhor, no princípio fundaste a terra, e os céus são obras de tuas mãos;
11 They pass away, but thou art enduring; and all they as vestments shall become old,
11 eles perecerão, mas tu permaneces; e todos eles, como roupa, envelhecerão,
12 and as a garment thou shalt fold them up, they shall be changed; but thou (shalt be) as Thou Art, and thy years shall not fail
12 e qual um manto os enrolarás, e como roupa se mudarão; mas tu és o mesmo, e os teus anos não acabarão.
13 But to which from (among) the angels hath he said at any time, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine adversaries a footstool beneath thy feet?
13 Mas a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Assenta-te à minha direita até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo de teus pés?
14 Are not all they spirits of ministration, who (are) sent forth in service on behalf of those who are hereafter to inherit salvation?
14 Não são todos eles espíritos ministradores, enviados para servir a favor dos que hão de herdar a salvação?
