1 But I have determined this in myself, that I will not with sorrow again come to you.

2 For if I grieve you, who shall refresh me, but he whom I had grieved?
2 Ayu kwa ana’uw kwanikwaniy yababan anabit na’at, yait boro yasisir ayu nitu?
3 And I have written to you this very, lest when I come they grieve me, they who ought to refresh me. But I confide in you, that my joy is that of all of you.
3 Ana’an iti isan ayu afef akikirum saise ayu anan na’at kwa bai yasisiru’umih kwatasisinaf i men tiyababanu. Ayu aitutumi kwa etei isa, ayu au yasisir kwa boro bairit taniyasisir.
4 And from great affliction and anxiety of heart I wrote those things to you with many tears, not that you might grieve, but (also) that you might know the abundant love I have towards you.
4 Anayabin ayu dogorou babanika yababan kufutu naatu erererey auman a fef akirum, men kwa baiyababani isan, baise ti’obaiyi ayu kwa isa i dogorou babanika abiyabuwi.
5 But if any one hath caused grief, he hath not grieved me (only), but a part of you all: that the word may not weigh upon you.
5 Yait ta yababan nasisinaf na’at, men ayu akisu ebiyababanu’umih, baise kwa tutufin etei ebiyababani, ibanak men kwana’itin gagaminamih.
6 But sufficient for him was this chastisement, which was from many.
6 Sabuw tutufin etei hio hibasit orot babin baimakiy ebaib nati anafofonin.
7 And now on the other hand it behoves you to forgive him and console him, lest he who is such an one be swallowed up of excessive grief.
7 Baise gewasin ana kakafin kwananotawiy naatu koufair kwanitin, saise i boro men yababan niwanasum.
8 Therefore I entreat of you to confirm to him your love.
8 Isan imih kwa abifefeyani, kwanau gewas naso’ob, kwa i kwabiyabuw.
9 On this account also I have written, to ascertain by experiment whether in every thing you will obey me.
9 Ayu iti fef akikirum i akokok ataso’ob gewas, karam routobon kwatisnowaten naatu bai’obaiyen etei kwatifanabow.
10 But to whom you forgive, I also. For I, too, what I have forgiven, have on your account forgiven in the presence of the Meshiha:
10 Kwa orot babin ta ana kakafin kwananonotawiy na’at, ayu auman i anotanotawiy, abisa anonotawiy ana kakafin ta nama’am na’at, i Keriso nanamaim kwa wab isan anotawiy,
11 lest Satana get the advantage of you; for we know his devices.
11 saise Satan men karam nikubibiruwit, anayabin it taso’ob i ana yakitifuwen.
12 WHEN, in preaching the gospel of the Meshiha, I had come to Troas, and a door was opened to me by the Lord,
12 Ayu Keriso ana tur gewasin binan isan ana Troas atit naatu Regah au ef botawiy nati’imaim ata binan isan.
13 I had no rest in my spirit because I found not Titos my brother. But leaving them, I went forth to Makedunia.
13 Baise ayu yababan abai, anayabin ayu teu Titus men atita’ur. Imih sabuw nati’imaim hima’am aotuturih naatu an Masedonia.
14 But thanks unto Aloha, who in all time maketh us a triumph in the Meshiha, and maketh manifest by us the perfume of his knowledge in every place.
14 Baise God ana merar tanay! Anayabin mar etei i nawiyit Keriso ana baigegsairen isan irar yoman tatatain naatu itane God tasu’ub. boun ai ebuwayan yamurin mamarin etasasar etitit na’atube.
15 For we are a fragrant perfume in the Meshiha unto Aloha in those who are saved, and in those who perish.
15 Anayabin it i Keriso ana yamurin mamarin gewasin, God isan sibor eya’iy, nati sabuw iyab yawas hibaib naatu iyab temomorob isah.
16 To these as a perfume of death unto death, and to those as a perfume of life unto life. And unto these who is equal?
16 Sabuw iyab tekakasiy i sabuw himorobobe biyah mas yamurin kakafin, baise sabuw iyab yawas hibaib i yawas anayamurin mamarin. Iti bowabow isan yeit i karam nabow?
17 For we are not as the rest who commix the word of Aloha; but as in truth, and as from Aloha, before Aloha in the Meshiha do we speak.
17 It men sabuw tutufin etei tesisinafube’emih naatu men God ana tur tabai sawar gidigidih na’atube efamaim tatobon tareremor na’atube’emih. Baise God iyunit Keriso ana bowayah tamatar, God nanamaim turobe tabibinan.
