1 And I, my brethren, when I came to you, not with grandeur of speech, nor with wisdom, did I evangelize to you the mystery of Aloha.
1 Eu, irmãos, quando fui ter convosco, anunciando-vos o testemunho de Deus, não o fiz com ostentação de linguagem ou de sabedoria.
2 And I considered myself among you as not knowing any thing unless Jeshu Meshiha, and him also as crucified.
2 Porque decidi nada saber entre vós, senão a Jesus Cristo e este crucificado.
3 And I in much fear and trembling was with you.
3 E foi em fraqueza, temor e grande tremor que eu estive entre vós.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with the persuasion of the words of wisdom, but with the demonstration of the Spirit and of power;
4 A minha palavra e a minha pregação não consistiram em linguagem persuasiva de sabedoria, mas em demonstração do Espírito e de poder,
5 that your faith might not be through the wisdom of men, but through the power of Aloha.
5 para que a vossa fé não se apoiasse em sabedoria humana, e sim no poder de Deus.
6 But we speak wisdom among the perfect: not the wisdom of this world, nor the authorities of this world, which are abolished;
6 Entretanto, expomos sabedoria entre os experimentados; não, porém, a sabedoria deste século, nem a dos poderosos desta época, que se reduzem a nada;
7 but we speak the wisdom of Aloha in the mystery which was hidden, and which Aloha predetermined from before the worlds unto our glorification;
7 mas falamos a sabedoria de Deus em mistério, outrora oculta, a qual Deus preordenou desde a eternidade para a nossa glória;
8 which not one of the authorities of this world hath known; for if they had known it, the Lord of glory they would not have crucified.
8 sabedoria essa que nenhum dos poderosos deste século conheceu; porque, se a tivessem conhecido, jamais teriam crucificado o Senhor da glória;
9 But as it is written, The eye hath not seen, Nor the ear heard, Nor the heart of man hath risen (to), That which Aloha hath prepared for those who love him.
9 mas, como está escrito: Nem olhos viram, nem ouvidos ouviram, nem jamais penetrou em coração humano o que Deus tem preparado para aqueles que o amam.
10 BUT unto us hath Aloha revealed, by his Spirit. For the Spirit all things searcheth, also the depths of Aloha.
10 Mas Deus no-lo revelou pelo Espírito; porque o Espírito a todas as coisas perscruta, até mesmo as profundezas de Deus.
11 For what man knoweth what is in man, save the spirit of a man which is in him? so also that which is in Aloha man knoweth not, but only the Spirit of Aloha.
11 Porque qual dos homens sabe as coisas do homem, senão o seu próprio espírito, que nele está? Assim, também as coisas de Deus, ninguém as conhece, senão o Espírito de Deus.
12 But we not the spirit of this world have received, but the Spirit who is from Aloha, that we might know that the gifts from Aloha are given unto us;
12 Ora, nós não temos recebido o espírito do mundo, e sim o Espírito que vem de Deus, para que conheçamos o que por Deus nos foi dado gratuitamente.
13 which also we speak, not with the learning of words of wisdom of men, but with the learning of the Spirit; and with spirituals the spirituals we compare.
13 Disto também falamos, não em palavras ensinadas pela sabedoria humana, mas ensinadas pelo Espírito, conferindo coisas espirituais com espirituais.
14 For the man who is animal receiveth not spirituals, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot know them, because they by the Spirit are judged of;
14 Ora, o homem natural não aceita as coisas do Espírito de Deus, porque lhe são loucura; e não pode entendê-las, porque elas se discernem espiritualmente.
15 but the spiritual judgeth of every thing, and he of man is not judged.
15 Porém o homem espiritual julga todas as coisas, mas ele mesmo não é julgado por ninguém.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord to teach him? But we have the mind of the Meshiha.
16 Pois quem conheceu a mente do Senhor, que o possa instruir? Nós, porém, temos a mente de Cristo.
