1 My soul waiteth only upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, a Jedutum, Salmo de Davi. Verdadeiramente a minha alma espera em Deus; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.
2 Somente ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; ele é a minha defesa, eu não serei grandemente abalado.
3 How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay him , all of you, like a bowing wall, like a tottering fence?
3 Por quanto tempo vós imaginareis dano contra um homem? Sereis mortos todos vós, sereis como um muro encurvado, e como uma cerca cambaleante.
4 They only consult to thrust him down from his excellency; they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah
4 Eles somente consultam para rebaixá-lo da sua excelência; deleitam-se em mentiras, eles abençoam com a sua boca, mas amaldiçoam interiormente. Selá.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
5 Minha alma, espera somente em Deus, pois a minha esperança é vinda dele.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my high tower; I shall not be moved.
6 Somente ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; ele é a minha defesa; eu não serei abalado.
7 With God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
7 Em Deus está a minha salvação e a minha glória; a rocha da minha força, e o meu refúgio, está em Deus.
8 Trust in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah
8 Confiai nele em todos os tempos; vós povos, derramai o vosso coração diante dele; Deus é um refúgio para nós. Selá.
9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: in the balances they will go up; they are together lighter than vanity.
9 Certamente, homens de baixo grau são vaidade, e homens de alto grau são uma mentira; ao serem colocados na balança, juntos são mais leves do que a vaidade.
10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart thereon .
10 Não confieis na opressão, e não vos torneis vãos no roubo; se as riquezas aumentarem, não coloqueis o vosso coração sobre elas.
11 God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God:
11 Deus falou uma vez; duas vezes eu tenho ouvido isto: que o poder pertence a Deus.
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
12 Também a ti, ó Senhor, pertence a misericórdia, pois tu recompensas a cada homem conforme a sua obra.
