1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
1 Na tua força, Senhor , o rei se alegra! E como exulta com a tua salvação!
2 Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah
2 Satisfizeste-lhe o desejo do coração e não lhe negaste as súplicas dos seus lábios.
3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.
3 Pois o supres das bênçãos de bondade; pões-lhe na cabeça uma coroa de ouro puro.
4 He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever.
4 Ele te pediu vida, e tu lha deste; sim, longevidade para todo o sempre.
5 His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty dost thou lay upon him.
5 Grande lhe é a glória da tua salvação; de esplendor e majestade o sobrevestiste.
6 For thou makest him most blessed for ever: thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.
6 Pois o puseste por bênção para sempre e o encheste de gozo com a tua presença.
7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.
7 O rei confia no Senhor e pela misericórdia do Altíssimo jamais vacilará.
8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
8 A tua mão alcançará todos os teus inimigos, a tua destra apanhará os que te odeiam.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger. The LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
9 Tu os tornarás como em fornalha ardente, quando te manifestares; o o fogo os devorará.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
10 Destruirás da terra a sua posteridade e a sua descendência, de entre os filhos dos homens.
11 For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a device, which they are not able to perform.
11 Se contra ti intentarem o mal e urdirem intrigas, não conseguirão efetuá-los;
12 For thou shalt make them turn their back, thou shalt make ready with thy bowstrings against the face of them.
12 porquanto lhes farás voltar as costas e mirarás o rosto deles com o teu arco.
13 Be thou exalted, O LORD, in thy strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
13 Exalta-te, Senhor , na tua força! Nós cantaremos e louvaremos o teu poder.
