7 O fim de todas as coisas está próximo. Sede, portanto, prudentes e vigiai na oração.

8 Antes de tudo, mantende entre vós uma ardente caridade, porque a caridade cobre a multidão dos pecados {Pr 10,12}.
9 Never grudge hospitality|strong="G5382" to|strong="G1519" one|strong="G1519" another.
9 Exercei a hospitalidade uns para com os outros, sem murmuração.

10 Como bons dispensadores das diversas graças de Deus, cada um de vós ponha à disposição dos outros o dom que recebeu:

12 Caríssimos, não vos perturbeis no fogo da provação, como se vos acontecesse alguma coisa extraordinária.

13 Pelo contrário, alegrai-vos em ser participantes dos sofrimentos de Cristo, para que vos possais alegrar e exultar no dia em que for manifestada sua glória.

14 Se fordes ultrajados pelo nome de Cristo, bem-aventurados sois vós, porque o Espírito de glória, o Espírito de Deus repousa sobre vós.

15 Que ninguém de vós sofra como homicida, ou ladrão, ou difamador, ou cobiçador do alheio.
16 But|strong="G1161", if|strong="G1487" someone suffers as|strong="G5613" a|strong="G5613" Christian|strong="G5546", they|strong="G1161" should|strong="G2316" not|strong="G3361" be|strong="G3361" ashamed of|strong="G2316" it|strong="G1161"; they|strong="G1161" should|strong="G2316" bring honour|strong="G1392" to|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316" even|strong="G1161" though|strong="G5613" they|strong="G1161" bear that|strong="G3588" name|strong="G3686".
16 Se, porém, padecer como cristão, não se envergonhe; pelo contrário, glorifique a Deus por ter este nome.
17 For|strong="G3754" the|strong="G1161" time|strong="G2540" has|strong="G2316" come for|strong="G3754" judgment|strong="G2917" to|strong="G1161" begin with|strong="G2316" the|strong="G1161" house|strong="G3624" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316"; and|strong="G1161", if|strong="G1487" it|strong="G3754" begins with|strong="G2316" us|strong="G2249", what|strong="G5101" will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2316" the|strong="G1161" end|strong="G5056" of|strong="G2316" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G5101" reject God|strong="G2316"’s good|strong="G5101" news|strong="G2098"?
17 Porque vem o momento em que se começará o julgamento pela casa de Deus. Ora, se ele começa por nós, qual será a sorte daqueles que são infiéis ao Evangelho de Deus?
18 If|strong="G1487" “a|strong="G2532" good|strong="G3588" person|strong="G1342" is|strong="G3588" saved|strong="G4982" only|strong="G1487" with|strong="G2532" difficulty|strong="G3433", what|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2532" become|strong="G5316" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" godless and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" sinful?”
18 E, se o justo se salva com dificuldade, que será do ímpio e do pecador?
19 Therefore|strong="G5620", I|strong="G2532" say|strong="G2532", let|strong="G3958" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" suffer|strong="G3958", because|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316" wills it|strong="G2532" so|strong="G2532", commit|strong="G3908" their|strong="G2532" lives|strong="G5590" into|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" hands of|strong="G2316" a|strong="G2532" faithful|strong="G4103" Creator|strong="G2939", and|strong="G2532" persevere in|strong="G1722" doing right.
19 Assim também aqueles que sofrem segundo a vontade de Deus encomendem as suas almas ao Criador fiel, praticando o bem.
