1 With|strong="G2192" reference to|strong="G1161" food that|strong="G3754" has|strong="G2192" been|strong="G2192" offered in|strong="G3956" sacrifice to|strong="G1161" idols|strong="G1494" – We|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3588" aware|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" all|strong="G3956" of|strong="G4012" us|strong="G4012" have|strong="G2192" knowledge|strong="G1108"! Knowledge|strong="G1108" breeds conceit, while|strong="G1161" love builds|strong="G3618" up|strong="G5448" character.
1 Ora, no tocante às coisas oferecidas aos ídolos, nós sabemos que todos temos conhecimento. O conhecimento envaidece, mas a caridade edifica.
2 If|strong="G1487" someone|strong="G5100" thinks|strong="G1380" that|strong="G1097" they|strong="G1487" know|strong="G1097" anything|strong="G5100", they|strong="G1487" have|strong="G1163" not|strong="G3768" yet|strong="G3768" reached that|strong="G1097" knowledge|strong="G1097" which|strong="G5100" they|strong="G1487" ought|strong="G1163" to|strong="G1163" have|strong="G1163" reached.
2 E, se algum homem pensa que sabe alguma coisa, ele ainda não o sabe como deveria saber.
3 On|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1161" other|strong="G1161" hand|strong="G1161", if|strong="G1487" a|strong="G1487" person|strong="G5100" loves God|strong="G2316", they|strong="G1161" are|strong="G3588" known|strong="G1097" by|strong="G5259" God|strong="G2316".
3 Mas, se algum homem ama a Deus, esse é conhecido dele.

4 No que diz respeito ao comer das coisas oferecidas em sacrifício aos ídolos, nós sabemos que o ídolo nada é no mundo, e que não há outro Deus, somente um.
5 Even|strong="G2532" supposing that|strong="G2532" there|strong="G2532" are|strong="G1510" so-called|strong="G3004" “gods|strong="G2316"” either|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772" or|strong="G1535" on|strong="G1909" earth|strong="G1093" – and|strong="G2532" there|strong="G2532" are|strong="G1510" many|strong="G4183" such|strong="G2532" “gods|strong="G2316"” and|strong="G2532" “lords|strong="G2962"” –
5 Porque, ainda que haja os que são chamados deuses, quer no céu ou na terra (como há muitos deuses e muitos senhores),
6 Yet|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1519" us|strong="G1519" there|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" only|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" God|strong="G2316", the|strong="G2532" Father|strong="G3962", from|strong="G1537" whom|strong="G3739" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" come|strong="G2532" (and|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" live|strong="G2532"), and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520" Lord|strong="G2962", Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", through|strong="G1223" whom|strong="G3739" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" come|strong="G2532" (and|strong="G2532" through|strong="G1223" him|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" live|strong="G2532").
6 todavia, para nós há um só Deus, o Pai, de quem são todas as coisas, e nós nele; e um Senhor, Jesus Cristo, pelo qual são todas as coisas, e nós por ele.
7 Still|strong="G2193", it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" everyone|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" has|strong="G5100" this|strong="G3588" knowledge|strong="G1108". Some|strong="G5100" people|strong="G3956", because|strong="G1722" of|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" association with|strong="G1722" idols|strong="G1497", continued down|strong="G2193" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" present time|strong="G1722", eat|strong="G2068" the|strong="G1722" food as|strong="G5613" food offered to|strong="G2532" an|strong="G2532" idol|strong="G1497"; and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" consciences|strong="G4893", while|strong="G1722" still|strong="G2193" weak, are|strong="G1510" dulled.
7 Todavia não há este conhecimento em todos os homens; porque alguns, conscientes do ídolo, até agora comem coisas oferecidas ao ídolo; e a sua consciência, sendo fraca, é contaminada.
8 What|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" eat|strong="G2068", however|strong="G1161", will|strong="G2316" not|strong="G3756" bring|strong="G3936" us|strong="G2249" nearer to|strong="G3756" God|strong="G2316". We|strong="G2249" lose nothing|strong="G3756" by|strong="G3936" not|strong="G3756" eating|strong="G2068" this|strong="G3588" food|strong="G1033", and|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" gain nothing|strong="G3756" by|strong="G3936" eating|strong="G2068" it|strong="G1161".
8 Mas o alimento não nos faz mais aceitos ante Deus, porque se comemos não somos melhores, se não comemos, não somos piores.
9 But|strong="G1161" take|strong="G1096" care that|strong="G3588" this|strong="G3778" right|strong="G1849" of|strong="G3588" yours|strong="G4771" does|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3361" become|strong="G1096" in|strong="G1096" any|strong="G3361" way|strong="G3778" a|strong="G1096" stumbling-block to|strong="G1849" the|strong="G1161" weak.
9 Mas tomeis cuidado para que essa liberdade não se torne de alguma maneira pedra de tropeço para os fracos.
10 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1437" someone|strong="G5100" should|strong="G5100" see|strong="G3708" you|strong="G4771" who|strong="G3588" possess|strong="G2192" this|strong="G3588" knowledge|strong="G1108", feasting in|strong="G1722" an|strong="G2192" idol|strong="G1494"’s|strong="G2192" temple|strong="G1493", will|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3780" their|strong="G1722" conscience|strong="G4893", if|strong="G1437" they|strong="G3588" are|strong="G1510" weak, become|strong="G1510" so|strong="G1519" hardened that|strong="G3588" they|strong="G3588", too, will|strong="G1510" eat|strong="G2068" food offered to|strong="G1519" idols|strong="G1494"?
10 Pois, se alguém te vir a ti, que tens conhecimento, sentado à mesa no templo dos ídolos, não será a consciência do que é fraco motivada a comer das coisas que são oferecidas aos ídolos?
11 And|strong="G5547" so|strong="G1223", through|strong="G1223" this|strong="G3588" knowledge|strong="G1108" of|strong="G1223" yours|strong="G4674", the|strong="G1722" weak person|strong="G3739" is|strong="G3588" ruined – someone|strong="G3739" for|strong="G1063" whose|strong="G3739" sake|strong="G1223" Christ|strong="G5547" died|strong="G3588"!
11 E, por teu conhecimento, perecerá o irmão fraco, pelo qual Cristo morreu?
12 In|strong="G1519" this|strong="G3588" way|strong="G3779", by|strong="G2532" sinning against|strong="G1519" your|strong="G2532" fellow followers|strong="G3588" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2532" injuring their|strong="G2532" consciences|strong="G4893", while|strong="G1161" still weak, you|strong="G3779" sin against|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547".
12 Mas, pecando assim contra os irmãos, e ferindo a sua fraca consciência, pecais contra Cristo.
13 Therefore|strong="G1355", if|strong="G1487" what|strong="G3588" I|strong="G1473" eat|strong="G2068" makes|strong="G4624" a|strong="G1519" follower of|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1519" Lord|strong="G3588" fall|strong="G4624", rather|strong="G3756" than|strong="G3361" make|strong="G1519" them|strong="G3588" fall|strong="G4624", I|strong="G1473" will|strong="G1473" never|strong="G3756" eat|strong="G2068" meat|strong="G1033" again|strong="G1519".
13 Portanto, se a comida ofender ao meu irmão, eu não comerei carne enquanto no mundo estiver, para que meu irmão não se ofenda.
