GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVT
1 ⌞The \+nd Lord\+nd* said,⌟ “Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel. Tell them, ‘Mountains of Israel, listen to the Lord’s word.
1 “Filho do homem, profetize aos montes de Israel e transmita-lhes esta mensagem: Ó montes de Israel, ouçam a palavra do S enhor !
2 This is what the Almighty Lord says: Your enemies said this about you, “Aha! The ancient worship sites now belong to us.” ’
2 Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Seus inimigos zombaram de vocês, dizendo: ‘Bem feito! Agora as antigas montanhas são nossas!’.
3 “So prophesy. Say, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: Your enemies turned you into ruins and crushed you from every side. You became the possession of the rest of the nations, and people began to talk and gossip about you.
3 Por isso, transmita aos montes de Israel esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Seus inimigos o atacaram de todos os lados e o tornaram propriedade de muitas nações e objeto de muita zombaria e calúnia.
4 “ ‘Mountains of Israel, listen to the Almighty Lord’s word. This is what the Almighty Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, and to the empty ruins and abandoned cities that have become prey and are mocked by the rest of the surrounding nations:
4 Portanto, ó montes de Israel, ouçam a palavra do S enhor Soberano. Ele fala às colinas e aos montes, aos desfiladeiros e aos vales, às ruínas arrasadas e às cidades desertas, destruídas e ridicularizadas pelas nações vizinhas.
5 In my fiery anger I have spoken against the rest of the nations and against all of Edom. The Edomites have taken possession of my land with wholehearted joy and with complete scorn. They forced out the people and took their land.’
5 Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: A ira de meu zelo arde contra essas nações, especialmente contra Edom, porque me desprezaram completamente, se apossaram de minha terra com satisfação e a tomaram como despojo.
6 “So prophesy about Israel. Tell the mountains and hills and the ravines and valleys, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: I am speaking in my anger and fury because you have been insulted by the nations.
6 “Portanto, profetize às colinas e aos montes, aos desfiladeiros e aos vales de Israel. Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Estou furioso em meu zelo porque vocês passaram vergonha diante das nações vizinhas.
7 So this is what the Almighty Lord says: I raise my hand and swear that the nations which surround you will be insulted.
7 Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Jurei solenemente que essas nações logo passarão vergonha também.
8 “ ‘But you, mountains of Israel, will grow branches and bear fruit for my people Israel. My people will come home soon.
8 “Os montes de Israel, no entanto, produzirão colheitas fartas de frutos para meu povo, pois em breve ele voltará para casa!
9 I am for you. I will turn to you, and you will be plowed and planted.
9 Pois estou com vocês e lhes darei atenção. Seu solo será arado, e suas lavouras serão plantadas.
10 I will increase the number of people who live on you. All the people of Israel, all of them, will live on you. The cities will be inhabited, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
10 Multiplicarei a população de Israel, e as cidades arruinadas serão reconstruídas e ficarão cheias de gente.
11 I will increase the number of people and animals that live on you. They will grow and become many. I will let people live on you as in the past, and I will make you better off than ever before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
11 Multiplicarei tanto as pessoas como os animais. Ó montes de Israel, trarei gente para habitá-los outra vez! Eu os tornarei ainda mais prósperos que antes. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o S enhor .
12 I will bring people, my people Israel, to you. They will take possession of you, and you will be their inheritance. You will no longer take their children away from them.
12 Farei meu povo andar sobre vocês novamente, e serão território dele. Vocês nunca mais o deixarão sem filhos.
13 “ ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: People say that you devour your people and take the children away from your nation.
13 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: As outras nações zombam de você e dizem: ‘É uma terra que devora seu povo e os deixa sem filhos!’.
14 So you will no longer devour your people or take the children away from your nation, declares the Almighty Lord.
14 Mas você nunca mais devorará seu povo nem o deixará sem filhos, diz o S enhor Soberano.
15 I will no longer let you hear the insults from the nations. You will no longer suffer the disgrace of the people. You will never again take the children away from your own nation, declares the Almighty Lord.’ ”
15 Não o deixarei ouvir os insultos de outras nações, nem sua zombaria. Você não será uma terra que faz sua nação cair, diz o S enhor Soberano”.
16 The Lord spoke his word to me. He said,
16 Então recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
17 “Son of man, when the people of Israel lived in their land, they dishonored it by the way they lived and by everything they did. Their ways were as unclean as a woman’s menstrual period.
17 “Filho do homem, quando os israelitas viviam em sua própria terra, eles a profanaram com seu estilo de vida. Para mim, sua conduta foi tão impura como o fluxo menstrual de uma mulher.
18 So I poured out my fury on them because they poured out blood on the land and they dishonored the land with their idols.
18 Eles contaminaram a terra com assassinato e adoração a ídolos, por isso derramei sobre eles minha fúria.
19 I forced them into other nations, and they became scattered among the nations. I judged them based on the way that they lived and based on everything that they had done.
19 Eu os espalhei entre as nações para castigá-los por sua conduta.
20 But wherever they went among the nations, they dishonored my holy name. People said about them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, yet they had to leave his land.’
20 Quando, porém, foram espalhados entre as nações, desonraram meu santo nome. Pois as nações diziam: ‘Este é o povo do S enhor , mas ele não foi capaz de mantê-lo a salvo em sua própria terra!’.
21 I became concerned about my holy name because my people dishonored it among the nations wherever they went.
21 Tive consideração por meu santo nome, que meu povo desonrou entre as nações.
22 “So tell the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: I am about to do something, people of Israel. I will not do this for your sake but for the sake of my holy name, which you have dishonored among the nations wherever you have gone.
22 “Portanto, transmita ao povo de Israel esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Eu os trarei de volta, ó povo de Israel, mas não porque merecem. Farei isso por causa do meu santo nome, que vocês desonraram entre as nações.
23 I will reveal the holiness of my great name, which has been dishonored by the nations, ⌞the name⌟ that you have dishonored among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, because I will reveal my holiness among you as they watch, declares the Almighty Lord.
23 Eu lhes mostrarei a santidade de meu grande nome, o nome que vocês desonraram entre as nações. E, quando eu mostrar minha santidade por meio de vocês diante das nações, diz o S enhor , elas saberão que eu sou o S enhor .
24 “ ‘I will take you from the nations and gather you from every country. I will bring you back to your own land.
24 Pois eu os reunirei dentre as nações e os trarei de volta para sua terra.
25 I will sprinkle clean water on you and make you clean instead of unclean. Then I will cleanse you from all your idols.
25 “Então aspergirei sobre vocês água pura, e ficarão limpos. Eu os purificarei de sua impureza e sua adoração a ídolos.
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stubborn hearts and give you obedient hearts.
26 Eu lhes darei um novo coração e colocarei em vocês um novo espírito. Removerei seu coração de pedra e lhes darei coração de carne.
27 I will put my Spirit in you. I will enable you to live by my laws, and you will obey my rules.
27 Porei dentro de vocês meu Espírito, para que sigam meus decretos e tenham o cuidado de obedecer a meus estatutos.
28 Then you will live in the land that I gave your ancestors. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
28 “Vocês habitarão em Israel, a terra que dei a seus antepassados. Vocês serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
29 I will rescue you from all your uncleanness. I will make the grain grow so that you will never again have famines.
29 Eu os livrarei de sua impureza. Aumentarei a produção de cereais e não enviarei mais fome à terra.
30 I will make fruit grow on the trees and crops grow in the fields so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famines.
30 Darei colheitas fartas de suas árvores frutíferas e seus campos, e nunca mais as nações vizinhas zombarão de sua terra por causa da fome.
31 Then you will remember your evil ways and the bad things that you did, and you will hate yourselves for all these wicked and disgusting things.
31 Então se lembrarão dos pecados que cometeram no passado e terão aversão de si mesmos por todas as coisas detestáveis que fizeram.
32 I want you to know that I’m not doing this for your sake, declares the Almighty Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced because of your ways, people of Israel.
32 Mas assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Lembrem-se de que não farei tudo isso porque vocês merecem. Ó meu povo de Israel, vocês deveriam se envergonhar profundamente de tudo que fizeram!
33 “ ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: On the day that I cleanse you from all your wickedness, I will cause your cities to be lived in again, and your ruins will be rebuilt.
33 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Quando eu os purificar de seus pecados, farei que suas cidades voltem a ser habitadas e as ruínas sejam reconstruídas.
34 The wasteland will be plowed. It will no longer remain empty for everyone passing by to see.
34 Os campos que estavam vazios e desolados à vista de todos voltarão a ser cultivados.
35 People will say, “This wasteland has become like the garden of Eden. The cities were destroyed. They were empty and ruined, but now they are fortified and have people living in them.”
35 E, quando eu trouxer vocês de volta, as pessoas dirão: ‘Essa terra que antes era deserta agora é como o jardim do Éden! As cidades abandonadas e em ruínas agora têm muros fortes e estão cheias de gente!’.
36 The surrounding nations that are left will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted crops in the land that was empty. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it.’
36 Com isso, as nações vizinhas que restarem saberão que eu, o S enhor , reconstruí as ruínas e replantei onde estava deserto. Pois eu, o S enhor , falei e cumprirei o que prometi.
37 “This is what the Almighty Lord says: I will also let the people of Israel ask me to make them as numerous as sheep.
37 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Estou disposto a ouvir as orações de Israel e a multiplicar seu povo como um rebanho.
38 They will be like the sheep for sacrifices, like the sheep in Jerusalem during the appointed festivals. Their ruined cities will be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
38 Serão numerosos como os rebanhos consagrados que enchem as ruas de Jerusalém na época de suas festas. As cidades que estavam em ruínas voltarão a ficar cheias de gente, e todos saberão que eu sou o S enhor ”.
