1 ⌞The \+nd Lord\+nd* continued,⌟ “Never spread false rumors. Don’t join forces with wicked people by giving false testimony.
1 "Não levantarás um boato falso; não darás tua mão ao perverso para levantar um falso testemunho.
2 Never follow a crowd in doing wrong. When you testify in court, don’t side with the majority to pervert justice.
2 Não seguirás o mau exemplo da multidão. Não deporás num processo, metendo-te do lado da maioria de maneira a perverter a justiça.
3 Never give special favors to poor people in court.
3 Não favorecerás tampouco o pobre em seu processo.
4 “Whenever you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering loose, be sure to take it back to him.
4 Se encontrares o boi de teu inimigo ou o seu jumento desgarrado, tu lho reconduzirás.
5 Whenever you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, don’t leave it there. Be sure to help him with his animal.
5 Se vires o jumento de teu inimigo caindo sob a carga, guarda-te de passar adiante: ajuda-o a descarregar.
6 “Never deny justice to poor people in court.
6 Não atentarás contra o direito do pobre em sua causa.
7 Avoid telling lies. Don’t kill innocent or honest people, because I will never declare guilty people innocent.
7 Abstém-te de toda palavra mentirosa. Não matarás o inocente e o justo, porque não absolverei o culpado.
8 Never take a bribe, because bribes blind those who can see and deny justice to those who are in the right.
8 Não aceitarás presentes, porque os presentes cegam aqueles que vêem claro, e perdem as causas justas.
9 “Never oppress foreigners. You know what it’s like to be foreigners because you were foreigners living in Egypt.
9 Não oprimirás o estrangeiro, pois conheceis o que sente o estrangeiro, vós que o fostes no Egito.
10 “For six years you may plant crops in your fields and harvest them,
10 "Durante seis anos, semearás a terra e recolherás o produto.
11 but in the seventh year you must leave the land unplowed and unused. In that way the poor among your people will have food to eat, and wild animals may eat what the poor people leave. You must do the same with your vineyards and olive groves.
11 Mas, no sétimo ano, a deixarás repousar em alqueive; os pobres de teu povo comerão o seu produto, e os animais selvagens comerão o resto. Farás o mesmo com a tua vinha e o teu olival.
12 “For six days you will do your work, but on the seventh day you must not work. Then your ox and donkey can rest. The slaves born in your household and foreigners will also be refreshed.
12 Durante seis dias, farás o teu trabalho, mas no sétimo descansarás, para que descansem o teu boi e o teu jumento, e respirem o filho de tua escrava e o estrangeiro.
13 “Be careful ⌞to do⌟ everything I told you.
13 Observareis tudo o que vos disse: não pronunciareis o nome de outros deuses, e não se o ouvirá sair de vossa boca.
14 “Three times a year you must celebrate a pilgrimage festival in my honor.
14 Três vezes por ano celebrarás uma festa em minha honra.
15 “Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread: For seven days you must eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Abib, because that was when you left Egypt. No one may come into my presence without an offering.
15 Observarás a festa dos Ázimos: durante sete dias, no mês das espigas, como o fixei, comerás pães sem fermento {foi nesse mês que saíste do Egito}. Não se apresentará ninguém diante de mim com as mãos vazias.
16 “Celebrate the Festival of the Harvest with the first produce harvested from whatever you plant in your fields.
16 Depois haverá a festa da Ceifa, das primícias do teu trabalho, do que semeaste nos campos; e a festa da Colheita, no fim do ano, quando recolheres nos campos os frutos do teu trabalho.
17 “These are the three times each year that all your men must come into the presence of the Master, the Lord.
17 Três vezes por ano, todo indivíduo do sexo masculino se apresentará diante do Senhor Javé.
18 “Never offer the blood of a sacrifice to me at the same time you offer anything containing yeast. The fat sacrificed at my festivals should never be left over in the morning.
18 Quando me sacrificares uma vítima, não oferecerás o seu sangue com pão fermentado; e a gordura de minha festa não será guardada a noite toda até a manhã do dia seguinte.
19 “You must bring the best of the first produce harvested from your soil to the house of the Lord your God.
19 Trarás à casa do Senhor, teu Deus, as primícias dos primeiros produtos de tua terra. Não cozerás um cabrito no leite de sua mãe."
20 “I’m going to send a Messenger in front of you to protect you on your trip and bring you to the place I have prepared.
20 "Vou enviar um anjo adiante de ti para te proteger no caminho e para te conduzir ao lugar que te preparei.
21 Pay attention to him, and listen to him. Don’t defy him, because he will not forgive your disobedience. He is acting on my authority.
21 Está de sobreaviso em sua presença, e ouve o que ele te diz. Não lhe resistas, pois ele não te perdoaria tua falta, porque meu nome está nele.
22 But if you will listen to him and do everything I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an opponent to your opponents.
22 Mas, se lhe obedeceres pontualmente, se fizeres tudo o que eu te disser, serei o inimigo dos teus inimigos, e o adversário dos teus adversários.
23 “My Messenger will go ahead of you and will bring you to ⌞the land of⌟ the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites. I will wipe them out.
23 Porque meu anjo marchará adiante de ti e te conduzirá entre os amorreus, os hiteus, os ferezeus, os cananeus, os heveus e os jebuseus, que exterminarei.
24 Never worship or serve their gods or follow their practices. Instead, you must destroy their gods and crush their sacred stones.
24 Não adorarás os seus deuses, não lhes prestarás culto, imitando as práticas {desses povos}, mas derrubarás os seus deuses e farás em pedaços as suas estelas.
25 You must serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your food and water. I will take away all sickness from among you.
25 Prestarás culto ao Senhor, teu Deus, que abençoará teu pão e tua água, e te preservarei da enfermidade.
26 No woman in your land will miscarry or be unable to have children. I will let you live a normal life span.
26 Não haverá em tua terra nem mulher que aborta nem mulher estéril. Completarei o número dos teus dias.
27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw any nation you meet into a panic. I will make all your enemies flee from you.
27 Enviarei diante de ti o meu terror, e semearei o pânico em todos os povos entre os quais chegares e porei todos os teus inimigos em fuga diante de ti.
28 I will spread panic ahead of you to force the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites out of your way.
28 Mandarei vespas diante de ti que expulsarão para longe de tua face os heveus, os cananeus, os hiteus.
29 I will not force them out of your way in one year. Otherwise, the land would be deserted, and wild animals would take over.
29 Não os expulsarei em um só ano, para que a terra não se torne um deserto e se multipliquem contra ti as feras do campo.
30 Little by little I will force them out of your way until you have increased enough in number to take possession of the land.
30 Expulsá-los-ei progressivamente diante de ti até que te tenhas multiplicado bastante para ocupar o país.
31 “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea and from the Sinai Desert to the Euphrates River. I will put the people living in the land under your control, and you will force them out of your way.
31 Os limites que te fixei vão do mar Vermelho ao mar dos filisteus, e desde o deserto até o Eufrates. Porque entregarei em tuas mãos os habitantes dessa terra, e expulsá-los-ei de diante de ti.
32 Never make a treaty with them and their gods.
32 Não farás aliança nem com eles nem com seus deuses.
33 Never let them live in your land, or they will make you sin against me and trap you into serving their gods.”
33 Eles não residirão na tua terra, para que não te façam pecar contra mim, e para que, prestando um culto aos seus deuses, não sejas preso no laço."
