GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 When this was over, all the Israelites who were there went to the cities in Judah. They crushed the sacred stones, cut down the poles dedicated to the goddess Asherah, and tore down the illegal places of worship and the altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. The Israelites destroyed all of these things. Then all the Israelites returned to their own cities. Each person went to his own property.
1 Ora, quando tudo isso estava terminado, todo o Israel que esteve presente saiu para as cidades de Judá, e quebrou as imagens em pedaços, e cortou os bosques, e lançou abaixo os lugares altos e os altares de todo o Judá e Benjamim, em Efraim e também em Manassés, até que destruíram por completo todos eles. Então, todos os filhos de Israel retornaram, cada homem à sua possessão, às suas próprias cidades.
2 Hezekiah assigned the priests and the Levites to divisions. Each priest or Levite was put in a division based on the service he performed: sacrificing burnt offerings, sacrificing fellowship offerings, serving, giving thanks, or praising within the gates of the Lord’s camp.
2 E Ezequias indicou as turmas dos sacerdotes e dos levitas segundo as suas turmas, cada homem de acordo com o seu serviço, os sacerdotes e os levitas para as ofertas queimadas e para as ofertas de paz, para ministrarem, e para darem graças, e para louvarem nos portões das tendas do SENHOR.
3 He set aside part of the king’s property for burnt offerings, the morning and evening offerings, burnt offerings on the weekly days of rest—holy days, the New Moon Festivals, and the annual festivals, as it is written in the Lord’s Teachings.
3 Também estabeleceu a porção da fazenda do rei para as ofertas queimadas, a saber; para as ofertas queimadas da manhã e da tarde, e para as ofertas queimadas dos shabats, e das luas novas, e para as festas marcadas; como está escrito na lei do SENHOR.
4 He told the people living in Jerusalem to give the priests and Levites the portions they were due so that they could devote themselves to the Lord’s Teachings.
4 Além disso, ele ordenou ao povo que habitava em Jerusalém que desse a porção dos sacerdotes e dos levitas, para que eles pudessem se dedicar à lei do SENHOR.
5 As soon as the word spread, the Israelites brought plenty of offerings from the first of their produce: grain, new wine, fresh olive oil, honey, and every crop from the fields. They brought large quantities, a tenth of everything.
5 E tão logo o mandamento se espalhou, os filhos de Israel trouxeram em abundância as primícias do grão, vinho, e azeite, e do mel, e de tudo o que crescia no campo; e o dízimo de todas as coisas trouxeram eles em abundância.
6 The people of Israel and Judah who were living in the cities of Judah brought a tenth of their cattle and sheep and a tenth of the holy things they had dedicated to the Lord their God. They piled these holy things in heaps.
6 E acerca dos filhos de Israel e de Judá, que habitavam nas cidades de Judá, eles também trouxeram o dízimo dos bois e das ovelhas, e o dízimo das coisas santas as quais foram consagradas ao SENHOR seu Deus, e as depositaram em montões.
7 In the third month they started piling them up, and in the seventh month they finished.
7 No terceiro mês eles começaram a lançar o fundamento dos montões, e as terminaram no sétimo mês.
8 When Hezekiah and the leaders saw the heaps, they praised the Lord and his people Israel.
8 E quando vieram Ezequias e os príncipes, e vendo aqueles montões, bendisseram ao SENHOR e ao seu povo Israel.
9 Hezekiah asked the priests and the Levites about the heaps.
9 Então, Ezequias questionou os sacerdotes e os levitas acerca dos montões.
10 The chief priest Azariah from Zadok’s family said, “Since the people started to bring the offerings to the Lord’s temple, we have had all we wanted to eat and plenty to spare. The Lord has blessed his people, and there’s a lot left over.”
10 E Azarias, o sumo sacerdote da casa de Zadoque respondeu-lhe: Como o povo começou a trazer as ofertas para dentro da casa do SENHOR, temos tido o suficiente para comer, e temos deixado sobra; porque o SENHOR tem abençoado o seu povo; e tem sobrado esta grande provisão.
11 Then Hezekiah told them to prepare storerooms in the Lord’s temple. After they had prepared them,
11 Então, Ezequias ordenou que se preparassem câmaras na casa do SENHOR; e eles as prepararam,
12 they faithfully brought in the contributions, the offerings of one-tenth of the crops, and the gifts dedicated to God. The Levite Conaniah was in charge of these things, and his brother Shimei was his assistant.
12 e trouxeram fielmente as ofertas e os dízimos e as coisas consagradas; sobre as quais Conanias, o levita, era governador, e Simei, o seu irmão, era o próximo.
13 King Hezekiah and Azariah, who was in charge of God’s temple, appointed Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah to serve under Conaniah and his brother Shimei.
13 E Jeiel, e Azarias, e Naate, e Asael, e Jerimote, e Jozabade, e Eliel, e Ismaquias, e Maate, e Benaia eram supervisores sob a mão de Conanias, e Simei, o seu irmão, sob o comando de Ezequias, o rei, e Azarias, o soberano da casa de Deus.
14 Kore, son of Imnah the Levite, was the gatekeeper at East Gate and had to take care of the freewill offerings made to God. His responsibility was to distribute the offerings made to the Lord and the holy gifts dedicated to God.
14 E Coré, o filho de Imna, o levita, o porteiro do lado leste, estava sobre as ofertas voluntárias a Deus, para distribuir as oblações do SENHOR, e as coisas santíssimas.
15 Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah served under him in the cities belonging to the priests. They were to distribute the offerings faithfully to all their relatives, young and old, by their divisions.
15 E próximo a ele estavam Éden, e Miniamim, e Jesuá, e Semaías, Amarias, e Secanias, nas cidades dos sacerdotes, nos seus ofícios designados, para dar aos seus irmãos, segundo as suas turmas, tanto aos grandes como aos pequenos;
16 They were appointed to distribute them to males who were at least three years old. The way they were enrolled in the genealogical records did not matter. The six men who served under Kore were to distribute the offerings to everyone who went to the Lord’s temple to perform the daily service that each division was responsible for.
16 além dos que estavam contados pelas genealogias dos homens, da idade de três anos para cima, a todos os que entravam na casa do SENHOR, a sua porção diária, pelo seu ministério nas suas guardas, segundo as suas turmas;
17 They were to distribute offerings to the priests who were enrolled by families and to the Levites who were at least 20 years old. Distribution was based on the way they served in their divisions.
17 tanto à genealogia dos sacerdotes, segundo a casa dos seus pais, e dos levitas, de vinte anos de idade em diante, nos seus encargos, segundo as suas turmas;
18 The priests and Levites were enrolled with their wives, sons, daughters, and other people who depended on them—the whole community. The priests and Levites had to be faithful in keeping themselves holy for the holy work.
18 e à genealogia de todos os seus pequenos, as suas esposas, e os seus filhos, e as suas filhas, por toda a congregação; porque no seu ofício designado eles se santificavam nas coisas consagradas;
19 Men were appointed to give a portion of the offerings to all the males in the priestly families and to everyone listed in the genealogies of the Levites. These men were Aaron’s descendants, priests who lived in the pasturelands of every Levite city.
19 também para os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, os quais estavam nos campos dos arredores das cidades, em cada uma das várias cidades, os homens que foram designados por nome, para dar porções a todos os homens entre os sacerdotes, e a todos que eram considerados pelas genealogias entre os levitas.
20 This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah. He did what was good and right and true to the Lord his God.
20 E assim fez Ezequias em todo o Judá, e operou aquilo que era bom, e reto e verdadeiro diante do SENHOR seu Deus.
21 Hezekiah incorporated Moses’ Teachings and commands into worship and dedicated his life to serving God. Whatever he did for the worship in God’s temple, he did wholeheartedly, and he succeeded.
21 E em toda obra que ele começou no serviço da casa de Deus, e na lei, e nos mandamentos, para buscar o seu Deus, ele o fez de todo o seu coração, e prosperou.
