1 Ora, a serpente era mais astuta que todas as alimárias do campo que o SENHOR Deus tinha feito. E esta disse à mulher: É assim que Deus disse: Não comereis de toda a árvore do jardim?

3 Mas do fruto da árvore que está no meio do jardim, disse Deus: Não comereis dele, nem nele tocareis para que não morrais.

4 Então a serpente disse à mulher: Certamente não morrereis.

5 Porque Deus sabe que no dia em que dele comerdes se abrirão os vossos olhos, e sereis como Deus, sabendo o bem e o mal.

6 E viu a mulher que aquela árvore era boa para se comer, e agradável aos olhos, e árvore desejável para dar entendimento; tomou do seu fruto, e comeu, e deu também a seu marido, e ele comeu com ela.

8 E ouviram a voz do Senhor Deus, que passeava no jardim pela viração do dia; e esconderam-se Adão e sua mulher da presença do Senhor Deus, entre as árvores do jardim.

9 E chamou o Senhor Deus a Adão, e disse-lhe: Onde estás?
10 The|strong="H0853" man said|strong="H0559", “I|strong="H0595" heard|strong="H8085" you|strong="H3588" walking in|strong="H8085" the|strong="H0853" garden|strong="H1588", and|strong="H6963" I|strong="H0595" was|strong="H6963" afraid|strong="H3372". I|strong="H0595" was|strong="H6963" naked|strong="H5903", so|strong="H3588" I|strong="H0595" hid|strong="H2244".”
10 E ele disse: Ouvi a tua voz soar no jardim, e temi, porque estava nu, e escondi-me.
11 God|strong="H0559" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" man, “Who|strong="H0834" told|strong="H5046" you|strong="H0859" that|strong="H0834" you|strong="H0859" were|strong="H0834" naked|strong="H5903"? Did|strong="H0834" you|strong="H0859" eat|strong="H0398" fruit|strong="H4480" from|strong="H4480" that|strong="H0834" special tree|strong="H6086"? I|strong="H0834" told|strong="H5046" you|strong="H0859" not|strong="H1115" to|strong="H0559" eat|strong="H0398" from|strong="H4480" that|strong="H0834" tree|strong="H6086"!”
11 E Deus disse: Quem te mostrou que estavas nu? Comeste tu da árvore de que te ordenei que não comesses?
12 The|strong="H0559" man|strong="H0120" said|strong="H0559", “The|strong="H0559" woman|strong="H0802" you|strong="H0834" put|strong="H5414" here with|strong="H0802" me|strong="H5414" gave|strong="H5414" me|strong="H5414" fruit|strong="H4480" from|strong="H4480" that|strong="H0834" tree|strong="H6086". So|strong="H4480" I|strong="H0834" ate|strong="H0398" it|strong="H5414".”
12 Então disse Adão: A mulher que me deste por companheira, ela me deu da árvore, e comi.
13 Then|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" woman|strong="H0802", “What|strong="H4100" have|strong="H3068" you|strong="H6213" done|strong="H6213"?”
13 E disse o Senhor Deus à mulher: Por que fizeste isto? E disse a mulher: A serpente me enganou, e eu comi.
14 So|strong="H6213" the|strong="H3605" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H3605" snake|strong="H5175",
14 Então o Senhor Deus disse à serpente: Porquanto fizeste isto, maldita serás mais que toda a fera, e mais que todos os animais do campo; sobre o teu ventre andarás, e pó comerás todos os dias da tua vida.
15 I will|strong="H0802" make|strong="H7896" you|strong="H0859" and|strong="H7218" the|strong="H0996" woman|strong="H0802" enemies to|strong="H0802" each|strong="H0802" other.
15 E porei inimizade entre ti e a mulher, e entre a tua semente e a sua semente; esta te ferirá a cabeça, e tu lhe ferirás o calcanhar.

16 E à mulher disse: Multiplicarei grandemente a tua dor, e a tua conceição; com dor darás à luz filhos; e o teu desejo será para o teu marido, e ele te dominará.

17 E a Adão disse: Porquanto deste ouvidos à voz de tua mulher, e comeste da árvore de que te ordenei, dizendo: Não comerás dela, maldita é a terra por causa de ti; com dor comerás dela todos os dias da tua vida.
18 The|strong="H0853" ground|strong="H7704" will|strong="H7704" grow|strong="H6779" thorns|strong="H6975" and|strong="H0398" weeds|strong="H6975" for|strong="H0398" you|strong="H0853".
18 Espinhos, e cardos também, te produzirá; e comerás a erva do campo.
19 You|strong="H0859" will|strong="H0127" work hard for|strong="H3588" your|strong="H3947" food|strong="H3899",
19 No suor do teu rosto comerás o teu pão, até que te tornes à terra; porque dela foste tomado; porquanto és pó e em pó te tornarás.
20 Adam named|strong="H8034" his|strong="H3605" wife|strong="H0802" Eve|strong="H2332". He|strong="H1931" gave|strong="H7121" her|strong="H3605" this|strong="H1931" name|strong="H8034" because|strong="H3588" Eve|strong="H2332" would|strong="H0517" be|strong="H1961" the|strong="H3605" mother|strong="H0517" of|strong="H0802" everyone|strong="H3605" who|strong="H3605" ever|strong="H0120" lived|strong="H2416".
20 E chamou Adão o nome de sua mulher Eva; porquanto era a mãe de todos os viventes.
21 The|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" used|strong="H6213" animal skins|strong="H5785" and|strong="H3068" made|strong="H6213" some clothes|strong="H3847" for|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" man|strong="H0120" and|strong="H3068" his|strong="H3068" wife|strong="H0802". Then|strong="H6213" he|strong="H6213" put|strong="H3847" the|strong="H3068" clothes|strong="H3847" on|strong="H3847" them|strong="H6213".
21 E fez o Senhor Deus a Adão e à sua mulher túnicas de peles, e os vestiu.
22 The|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", “Look|strong="H2005", the|strong="H0559" man|strong="H0120" has|strong="H3068" become|strong="H1961" like|strong="H1961" us|strong="H3045"—he|strong="H0430" knows|strong="H3045" about|strong="H1961" good|strong="H2896" and|strong="H3068" evil|strong="H7451". And|strong="H3068" now|strong="H6258" the|strong="H0559" man|strong="H0120" might|strong="H6435" take|strong="H3947" the|strong="H0559" fruit|strong="H4480" from|strong="H4480" the|strong="H0559" tree|strong="H6086" of|strong="H0430" life|strong="H2416". If|strong="H2005" the|strong="H0559" man|strong="H0120" eats|strong="H0398" that|strong="H3045" fruit|strong="H4480", he|strong="H0430" will|strong="H3068" live|strong="H2416" forever|strong="H5769".”
22 Então disse o Senhor Deus: Eis que o homem é como um de nós, sabendo o bem e o mal; ora, para que não estenda a sua mão, e tome também da árvore da vida, e coma e viva eternamente,
23 So|strong="H3947" the|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" forced the|strong="H0853" man out|strong="H7971" of|strong="H0430" the|strong="H0853" Garden|strong="H1588" of|strong="H0430" Eden|strong="H5731" to|strong="H3068" work|strong="H5647" the|strong="H0853" ground|strong="H0127" he|strong="H0834" was|strong="H0834" made|strong="H0834" from|strong="H3947".
23 O Senhor Deus, pois, o lançou fora do jardim do Éden, para lavrar a terra de que fora tomado.
24 God forced the|strong="H0853" man|strong="H0120" to|strong="H8104" leave the|strong="H0853" garden|strong="H1588". Then|strong="H0853" he|strong="H0853" put Cherub|strong="H3742" angels and|strong="H6086" a|strong="H2015" sword|strong="H2719" of|strong="H1870" fire at|strong="H1870" the|strong="H0853" entrance to|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" garden|strong="H1588" to|strong="H8104" protect|strong="H8104" it|strong="H2015". The|strong="H0853" sword|strong="H2719" flashed around|strong="H2015" and|strong="H6086" around|strong="H2015", guarding|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" way|strong="H1870" to|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" tree|strong="H6086" of|strong="H1870" life|strong="H2416".
24 E havendo lançado fora o homem, pôs querubins ao oriente do jardim do Éden, e uma espada inflamada que andava ao redor, para guardar o caminho da árvore da vida.
