1 No demais, irmãos, rogai por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor tenha livre curso e seja glorificada, como também o é entre vós;

9 Não porque não tivéssemos autoridade, mas para vos dar em nós mesmos exemplo, para nos imitardes.

10 Porque, quando ainda estávamos convosco, vos mandamos isto, que, se alguém não quiser trabalhar, não coma também.
11 We|strong="G0191" hear|strong="G0191" that|strong="G0191" some|strong="G5100" people|strong="G5100" in|strong="G1722" your|strong="G1722" group refuse to|strong="G1722" work|strong="G2038". They|strong="G1722" are doing|strong="G2038" nothing|strong="G3367" except|strong="G0235" being|strong="G4771" busy in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" lives of|strong="G5100" others|strong="G5100".
11 Porquanto ouvimos que alguns entre vós andam desordenadamente, não trabalhando, antes fazendo coisas vãs.
12 Our|strong="G2424" instruction|strong="G3853" to|strong="G2443" them|strong="G1722" is|strong="G2962" to|strong="G2443" stop bothering others|strong="G3588", to|strong="G2443" start working and|strong="G2532" earn their|strong="G1438" own|strong="G1438" food|strong="G0740". 13 E vós, irmãos, não vos canseis de fazer o bem.

14 Mas, se alguém não obedecer à nossa palavra por esta carta, notai o tal, e não vos mistureis com ele, para que se envergonhe.
15 But|strong="G0235" don’t|strong="G3361" treat them|strong="G2233" as|strong="G5613" enemies|strong="G2190". Counsel them|strong="G2233" as|strong="G5613" fellow believers.
15 Todavia não o tenhais como inimigo, mas admoestai-o como irmão.
16 We|strong="G1161" pray that|strong="G3956" the|strong="G3956" Lord|strong="G2962" of|strong="G1223" peace|strong="G1515" will|strong="G2962" give|strong="G1325" you|strong="G5210" peace|strong="G1515" at|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" times and|strong="G1161" in|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" way|strong="G5158".
