1 Then|strong="H7126" he|strong="H3027" cried|strong="H7121" in|strong="H5892" mine|strong="H3027" ears with|strong="H3027" a|strong="H3068" loud|strong="H1419" voice|strong="H6963", saying|strong="H6963", Cause|strong="H7121" ye|strong="H7126" them|strong="H3027" that|strong="H5892" have|strong="H3027" charge|strong="H3027" over|strong="H3027" the|strong="H7121" city|strong="H5892" to|strong="H3027" draw|strong="H7126" near|strong="H7126", every|strong="H7121" man|strong="H1419" with|strong="H3027" his|strong="H7121" destroying|strong="H4892" weapon|strong="H3627" in|strong="H5892" his|strong="H7121" hand|strong="H3027".
1 Então o S enhor disse em alta voz: “Tragam os homens escolhidos para castigar a cidade! Digam-lhes que venham com suas armas de destruição!”.
2 And|strong="H3027" behold|strong="H2009", six|strong="H8337" men came|strong="H3847" from|strong="H3027" the|strong="H8432" way|strong="H1870" of|strong="H3027" the|strong="H8432" upper|strong="H5945" gate|strong="H8179", which|strong="H4196" lieth|strong="H6437" toward|strong="H1870" the|strong="H8432" north|strong="H6828", every|strong="H5975" man|strong="H8179" with|strong="H3847" his|strong="H3027" slaughter|strong="H4660" weapon|strong="H3627" in|strong="H8432" his|strong="H3027" hand|strong="H3027"; and|strong="H3027" one|strong="H3027" man|strong="H8179" in|strong="H8432" the|strong="H8432" midst|strong="H8432" of|strong="H3027" them|strong="H3027" clothed|strong="H3847" in|strong="H8432" linen, with|strong="H3847" a|strong="H3068" writer|strong="H5608"’s inkhorn|strong="H7083" by|strong="H3027" his|strong="H3027" side|strong="H6828". And|strong="H3027" they|strong="H5608" went|strong="H3027" in|strong="H8432", and|strong="H3027" stood|strong="H5975" beside|strong="H3027" the|strong="H8432" brazen altar|strong="H4196".

4 e lhe disse: “Ande pelas ruas de Jerusalém e ponha um sinal na testa de todos que choram e gemem por causa dos pecados detestáveis cometidos em sua cidade”.

5 Em seguida, ouvi o S enhor dizer aos outros homens: “Sigam-no pela cidade e matem todos cuja testa não estiver marcada. Não mostrem compaixão nem tenham piedade!
6 slay|strong="H2026" utterly|strong="H4889" the|strong="H3605" old|strong="H2205" man|strong="H2205", the|strong="H3605" young man|strong="H2205" and|strong="H1004" the|strong="H3605" virgin|strong="H1330", and|strong="H1004" little|strong="H2945" children|strong="H2945" and|strong="H1004" women|strong="H1330"; but|strong="H3605" come|strong="H5066" not|strong="H6440" near|strong="H5066" any|strong="H3605" man|strong="H2205" upon|strong="H5921" whom|strong="H6440" is|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" mark|strong="H8420": and|strong="H1004" begin|strong="H2490" at|strong="H5921" my|strong="H3605" sanctuary|strong="H4720". Then|strong="H2490" they|strong="H5921" began|strong="H2490" at|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" old|strong="H2205" men|strong="H2205" that|strong="H3605" were|strong="H1004" before|strong="H6440" the|strong="H3605" house|strong="H1004".
6 Matem todos: idosos e jovens, meninas, mulheres e crianças pequenas. Mas não toquem naqueles que tiverem o sinal. Comecem aqui mesmo, no templo!”. E eles começaram pelos setenta líderes, na entrada do templo.
7 And|strong="H1004" he|strong="H1004" said|strong="H3318" unto|strong="H3318" them|strong="H5221", Defile|strong="H2930" the|strong="H5221" house|strong="H1004", and|strong="H1004" fill|strong="H4390" the|strong="H5221" courts|strong="H2691" with|strong="H4390" the|strong="H5221" slain|strong="H2491": go|strong="H3318" ye|strong="H3318" forth|strong="H3318". And|strong="H1004" they|strong="H5221" went|strong="H3318" forth|strong="H3318", and|strong="H1004" smote|strong="H5221" in|strong="H1004" the|strong="H5221" city|strong="H5892".
7 “Profanem o templo!”, o S enhor ordenou. “Encham seus pátios de cadáveres. Vão!” Então eles saíram e começaram a matança em toda a cidade.

8 Enquanto isso, fiquei sozinho. Prostrei-me com o rosto no chão e clamei: “Ó S enhor Soberano! Acaso tua fúria contra Jerusalém exterminará todos que restam em Israel?”.
9 Then|strong="H3588" said he|strong="H3588" unto|strong="H3068" me|strong="H7200", The|strong="H7200" iniquity|strong="H5771" of|strong="H1004" the|strong="H7200" house|strong="H1004" of|strong="H1004" Israel|strong="H3478" and|strong="H3063" Judah|strong="H3063" is|strong="H3068" exceeding|strong="H3966" great|strong="H1419", and|strong="H3063" the|strong="H7200" land is|strong="H3068" full|strong="H4390" of|strong="H1004" blood|strong="H1818", and|strong="H3063" the|strong="H7200" city|strong="H5892" full|strong="H4390" of|strong="H1004" wresting of judgment: for|strong="H3588" they|strong="H3588" say|strong="H3478", Jehovah|strong="H3068" hath|strong="H3068" forsaken|strong="H5800" the|strong="H7200" land, and|strong="H3063" Jehovah|strong="H3068" seeth|strong="H7200" not|strong="H3588".
9 Então ele me disse: “Os pecados do povo de Israel e de Judá são muito, muito grandes. Toda a terra se encheu de homicídio; a cidade está repleta de injustiça. Eles dizem: ‘O S enhor não nos vê; o S enhor abandonou nossa terra!’.
10 And|strong="H5869" as|strong="H1571" for|strong="H5869" me|strong="H5414" also|strong="H1571", mine|strong="H5414" eye|strong="H5869" shall|strong="H5869" not|strong="H3808" spare|strong="H2550", neither|strong="H3808" will|strong="H1571" I|strong="H5414" have|strong="H5869" pity|strong="H2347", but|strong="H3808" I|strong="H5414" will|strong="H1571" bring|strong="H5414" their|strong="H5414" way|strong="H1870" upon|strong="H5414" their|strong="H5414" head|strong="H7218".
10 Por isso não os pouparei nem terei piedade deles. Eu lhes darei o que merecem por tudo que fizeram”.
11 And|strong="H7725", behold|strong="H2009", the|strong="H6213" man clothed|strong="H3830" in|strong="H6213" linen, who|strong="H6213" had|strong="H6680" the|strong="H6213" inkhorn|strong="H7083" by|strong="H6213" his|strong="H7725" side|strong="H4975", reported|strong="H7725" the|strong="H6213" matter|strong="H1697", saying|strong="H1697", I|strong="H2009" have|strong="H1697" done|strong="H6213" as|strong="H1697" thou|strong="H6213" hast commanded|strong="H6680" me|strong="H7725".
11 Então o homem vestido de linho, que carregava o estojo com material de escrever, voltou para relatar: “Fiz o que ordenaste”.
