3 lembrando-nos sem cessar da vossa obra de fé, do vosso trabalho de amor e da vossa firmeza de esperança em nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, diante de nosso Deus e Pai,

4 conhecendo, irmãos, amados de Deus, a vossa eleição;
5 how|strong="G3754" that|strong="G3754" our|strong="G2532" gospel|strong="G2098" came|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3756" unto|strong="G1519" you|strong="G5210" in|strong="G1722" word|strong="G3056" only|strong="G3440", but|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" power|strong="G1411", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" much|strong="G4183" assurance|strong="G4136"; even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G2531" ye|strong="G5210" know|strong="G1492" what|strong="G3588" manner of|strong="G3056" men|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" were|strong="G3588" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210" for|strong="G3754" your|strong="G1223" sake|strong="G1223".
5 porque o nosso evangelho não foi a vós somente em palavras, mas também em poder, e no Espírito Santo e em plena convicção, como bem sabeis quais fomos entre vós por amor de vós.
6 And|strong="G2532" ye|strong="G5210" became|strong="G1096" imitators|strong="G3402" of|strong="G3056" us|strong="G2249", and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G1722" Lord|strong="G2962", having|strong="G2532" received|strong="G1209" the|strong="G1722" word|strong="G3056" in|strong="G1722" much|strong="G4183" affliction|strong="G2347", with|strong="G3326" joy|strong="G5479" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G1722" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151";
6 E vós vos tornastes imitadores nossos e do Senhor, tendo recebido a palavra em muita tribulação, com gozo do Espírito Santo.
7 so|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" ye|strong="G5210" became|strong="G1096" examples|strong="G5179" to|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1722" Macedonia|strong="G3109" and|strong="G2532" Achaia.
7 De sorte que vos tornastes modelo para todos os crentes na Macedônia e na Acaia.
8 For|strong="G1063" from|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210" hath|strong="G2192" sounded|strong="G2980" forth|strong="G1831" the|strong="G1722" word|strong="G3056" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G1722" Lord|strong="G2962", not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" in|strong="G1722" Macedonia|strong="G3109" and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" Achaia, but|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" place|strong="G5117" your|strong="G2192" faith|strong="G4102" to|strong="G4314" God-ward|strong="G2316" is|strong="G3588" gone|strong="G1831" forth|strong="G1831"; so|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" need|strong="G5532" not|strong="G3756" to|strong="G4314" speak|strong="G2980" anything|strong="G5100".
8 Porque, partindo de vós fez-se ouvir a palavra do Senhor, não somente na Macedônia e na Acaia, mas também em todos os lugares a vossa fé para com Deus se divulgou, de tal maneira que não temos necessidade de falar coisa alguma;
9 For|strong="G1063" they|strong="G2532" themselves report concerning|strong="G4012" us|strong="G2249" what|strong="G3588" manner|strong="G4459" of|strong="G4012" entering|strong="G3697" in|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" had|strong="G2192" unto|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5210"; and|strong="G2532" how|strong="G4459" ye|strong="G5210" turned|strong="G1994" unto|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316" from|strong="G2532" idols|strong="G1497", to|strong="G4314" serve|strong="G1398" a|strong="G2192" living|strong="G2198" and|strong="G2532" true|strong="G3588" God|strong="G2316",
9 porque eles mesmos anunciam de nós qual a entrada que tivemos entre vós, e como vos convertestes dos ídolos a Deus, para servirdes ao Deus vivo e verdadeiro,
10 and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2532" wait for|strong="G2532" his|strong="G2532" Son|strong="G5207" from|strong="G1537" heaven|strong="G3772", whom|strong="G3739" he|strong="G2532" raised|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" dead|strong="G3498", even Jesus|strong="G2424", who|strong="G3739" delivereth us|strong="G2249" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" wrath|strong="G3709" to|strong="G2532" come|strong="G2064".
10 e esperardes dos céus a seu Filho, a quem ele ressuscitou dentre os mortos, a saber, Jesus, que nos livra da ira vindoura.
