¹ In Judah is God known: His name is great in Israel.

¹ Conhecido é Deus em Judá; grande é o seu nome em Israel.

² In Salem also is his tabernacle, And his dwelling-place in Zion.

² E em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e a sua morada, em Sião.

³ There he brake the arrows of the bow; The shield, and the sword, and the battle.

³ Ali quebrou as flechas do arco; o escudo, e a espada, e a guerra. (Selá)

⁴ Glorious art thou and excellent, From the mountains of prey.

⁴ Tu és mais ilustre e glorioso do que os montes de presa.

⁵ The stouthearted are made a spoil, They have slept their sleep; And none of the men of might have found their hands.

⁵ Os que são ousados de coração foram despojados; dormiram o seu sono, e nenhum dos homens de força achou as próprias mãos.

⁶ At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

⁶ À tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, carros e cavalos são lançados num sono profundo.

⁷ Thou, even thou, art to be feared; And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

⁷ Tu, tu és terrível! E quem subsistirá à tua vista, se te irares?

⁸ Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; The earth feared, and was still,

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou

⁹ When God arose to judgment, To save all the meek of the earth.

⁹ quando Deus se levantou para julgar, para livrar a todos os mansos da terra. (Selá)

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.

¹⁰ Porque a cólera do homem redundará em teu louvor, e o restante da cólera, tu o restringirás.

¹¹ Vow, and pay unto Jehovah your God: Let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

¹¹ Fazei votos e pagai ao Senhor , vosso Deus; tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele, àquele que é tremendo.

¹² He will cut off the spirit of princes: He is terrible to the kings of the earth.

¹² Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes: é tremendo para com os reis da terra.
