1 This is the boke of the generacion of Iesus Christ the sonne of Dauid the sonne also of Abraham.
1 Genealogia de Jesus Cristo, filho de Davi, filho de Abraão.
2 Abraham begat Isaac: Isaac begat Iacob: Iacob begat Iudas and his brethren:
2 Abraão gerou Isaac. Isaac gerou Jacó. Jacó gerou Judá e seus irmãos.
3 Iudas begat Phares and zaram of Thamar: Phares begat Hesrom: Hesrom begat Aram:
3 Judá gerou, de Tamar, Farés e Zara. Farés gerou Esron. Esron gerou Arão.
4 Aram begat Aminadab: Aminadab begat Naasson: Naasson begat Salmon:

9 Ozias gerou Joatão. Joatão gerou Acaz. Acaz gerou Ezequias.
10 Ezechias begat Manasses: Manasses begat Amon: Amon begat Iosias:
10 Ezequias gerou Manassés. Manassés gerou Amon. Amon gerou Josias.
11 Iosias begat Iechonias and his brethren aboute the tyme they were caryed awaye to Babylon.
11 Josias gerou Jeconias e seus irmãos, no cativeiro de Babilônia.
12 And after they were brought to Babylon Iechonias begat Salathiel: Salathiel begat zorobabel:
12 E, depois do cativeiro de Babilônia, Jeconias gerou Salatiel. Salatiel gerou Zorobabel.
13 zorobabel begat Abiud: Abiud begat Eliachim: Eliachim begat Azor:
13 Zorobabel gerou Abiud. Abiud gerou Eliacim. Eliacim gerou Azor.
14 Azor begat Sadoc: Sadoc begat Achin: Achin begat Eliud:
14 Azor gerou Sadoc. Sadoc gerou Aquim. Aquim gerou Eliud.
15 Eliud begat Eleasar: Eleasar begat Matthan: Matthan begat Iacob:
15 Eliud gerou Eleazar. Eleazar gerou Matã. Matã gerou Jacó.
16 Iacob begat Ioseph the husbande of Mary of which was boren that Iesus that is called Christ.
16 Jacó gerou José, esposo de Maria, da qual nasceu Jesus, que é chamado Cristo.
17 All the generacions from Abraham to David are fowretene generacions. And from David vnto the captivite of Babylon are fowretene generacions. And from the captivite of Babylon vnto Christ are also fowrtene generacions.
17 Portanto, as gerações, desde Abraão até Davi, são quatorze. Desde Davi até o cativeiro de Babilônia, quatorze gerações. E, depois do cativeiro até Cristo, quatorze gerações. Nascimento de Jesus
18 The byrthe of Iesus Christ was on thys wyse. When hys mother Mary was betrouthed to Ioseph before they came to dwell to gedder she was foude with chylde by the holy goost.
18 Eis como nasceu Jesus Cristo: Maria, sua mãe, estava desposada com José. Antes de coabitarem, aconteceu que ela concebeu por virtude do Espírito Santo.
19 The Ioseph her husbande beinge a perfect man and loth to make an ensample of her was mynded to put her awaye secretely.
19 José, seu esposo, que era homem de bem, não querendo difamá-la, resolveu rejeitá-la secretamente.
20 Whill he thus thought behold the angell of the Lorde appered vnto him in a dreame saynge: Ioseph the sonne of David feare not to take vnto ye Mary thy wyfe. For that which is conceaved in her is of the holy goost.
20 Enquanto assim pensava, eis que um anjo do Senhor lhe apareceu em sonhos e lhe disse: José, filho de Davi, não temas receber Maria por esposa, pois o que nela foi concebido vem do Espírito Santo.
21 She shall brynge forthe a sonne and thou shalt call his name Iesus. For he shall save his peple from their synnes.
21 Ela dará à luz um filho, a quem porás o nome de Jesus, porque ele salvará o seu povo de seus pecados.
22 All this was done to fulfill that which was spoken of the Lorde by the Prophet saynge:
22 Tudo isto aconteceu para que se cumprisse o que o Senhor falou pelo profeta:
23 Beholde a mayde shall be with chylde and shall brynge forthe a sonne and they shall call his name Emanuel which is by interpretacion God with vs.
23 Eis que a Virgem conceberá e dará à luz um filho, que se chamará Emanuel {Is 7, 14}, que significa: Deus conosco.
24 And Ioseph assone as he awoke out of slepe did as the angell of the Lorde bade hym and toke hys wyfe vnto hym
24 Despertando, José fez como o anjo do Senhor lhe havia mandado e recebeu em sua casa sua esposa.
25 and knewe her not tyll she had brought forth hir fyrst sonne and called hys name Iesus.
25 E, sem que ele a tivesse conhecido, ela deu à luz o seu filho, que recebeu o nome de Jesus.
