1 The same daye wet Iesus out of the house and sat by the see syde
1 Naquele dia, saiu Jesus e sentou-se à beira do lago.
2 and moch people resorted vnto him so gretly that he wet and sat in a shippe and all the people stode on the shoore.
2 Acercou-se dele, porém, uma tal multidão, que precisou entrar numa barca. Nela se assentou, enquanto a multidão ficava à margem.
3 And he spake many thynges to the in similitudes sayinge: Beholde the sower wet forth to sowe.
3 E seus discursos foram uma série de parábolas.
4 And as he sowed some fell by the wayessyde and the fowlles came and devoured it vp.
4 Disse ele: Um semeador saiu a semear. E, semeando, parte da semente caiu ao longo do caminho; os pássaros vieram e a comeram.
5 Some fell apon stony groude where it had not moche erth and a none it sproge vp because it had no depth of erth:
5 Outra parte caiu em solo pedregoso, onde não havia muita terra, e nasceu logo, porque a terra era pouco profunda.
6 and when the sunne was vp it cauht heet and for lake of rotynge wyddred awaye.
6 Logo, porém, que o sol nasceu, queimou-se, por falta de raízes.
7 Some fell amonge thornes and the thornes sproge vp and chooked it.
7 Outras sementes caíram entre os espinhos: os espinhos cresceram e as sufocaram.
8 Parte fell in good ground and brought forth good frute: some an hundred fold some sixtie fold some thyrty folde.
8 Outras, enfim, caíram em terra boa: deram frutos, cem por um, sessenta por um, trinta por um.
9 Whosoever hath eares to heare let him heare.
9 Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça.
10 And the disciples came and sayde to him: Why speakest thou to the in parables?
10 Os discípulos aproximaram-se dele, então, para dizer-lhe: Por que lhes falas em parábolas?
11 He answered and sayde vnto them: it is geve vnto you to knowe the secretes of the kyngdome of heven but to the it is not geve
11 Respondeu Jesus: Porque a vós é dado compreender os mistérios do Reino dos céus, mas a eles não.
12 For whosoever hath to him shall be geven: and he shall have aboundance. But whosoever hath not: from hym shalbe takyn awaye even that he hath.
12 Ao que tem, se lhe dará e terá em abundância, mas ao que não tem será tirado até mesmo o que tem.
13 Therfore speake I to them in similitudes: for though they se they se not: and hearinge they heare not: nether vnderstonde.
13 Eis por que lhes falo em parábolas: para que, vendo, não vejam e, ouvindo, não ouçam nem compreendam.
14 And in them is fulfilled the Prophesie of Esayas which prophesie sayth: with the eares ye shall heare and shall not vnderstonde and with the eyes ye shall se and shall not perceave.
14 Assim se cumpre para eles o que foi dito pelo profeta Isaías: Ouvireis com vossos ouvidos e não entendereis, olhareis com vossos olhos e não vereis,
15 For this peoples hertes are wexed grosse and their eares were dull of herynge and their eyes have they closed lest they shulde se with their eyes and heare with their eares and shuld vnderstonde with their hertes and shuld tourne that I myght heale them.
15 porque o coração deste povo se endureceu: taparam os seus ouvidos e fecharam os seus olhos, para que seus olhos não vejam e seus ouvidos não ouçam, nem seu coração compreenda; para que não se convertam e eu os sare {Is 6,9s}.
16 But blessed are youre eyes for they se: and youre eares for they heare.
16 Mas, quanto a vós, bem-aventurados os vossos olhos, porque vêem! Ditosos os vossos ouvidos, porque ouvem!
17 Verely I say vnto you that many Prophetes and perfaicte me have desired to se tho thinges which ye se and have not sene the: and to heare tho thinges which ye heare and have not herde the.
17 Eu vos declaro, em verdade: muitos profetas e justos desejaram ver o que vedes e não o viram, ouvir o que ouvis e não ouviram.
18 Heare ye therfore the similitude of the sower.
18 Ouvi, pois, o sentido da parábola do semeador:
19 Whosoever heareth the worde of the kingdome and vnderstondeth it not ther cometh the evyll man and catcheth awaye that which was sowne in his hert. And this is he which was sowne by the wayesyde.
19 quando um homem ouve a palavra do Reino e não a entende, o Maligno vem e arranca o que foi semeado no seu coração. Este é aquele que recebeu a semente à beira do caminho.
20 But he that was sowne in the stony grounde is he which heareth the worde of God and anone with ioye receaveth it
20 O solo pedregoso em que ela caiu é aquele que acolhe com alegria a palavra ouvida,
21 yet hath he no rottes in him selfe and therfore dureth but a season: for assone as tribulacion or persecucion aryseth because of the worde by and by he falleth.
21 mas não tem raízes, é inconstante: sobrevindo uma tribulação ou uma perseguição por causa da palavra, logo encontra uma ocasião de queda.
22 He that was sowne amonge thornes is he that heareth the worde of God: but the care of this worlde and the dissaytfulnes of ryches choke the worde and so is he made vnfrutfull.
22 O terreno que recebeu a semente entre os espinhos representa aquele que ouviu bem a palavra, mas nele os cuidados do mundo e a sedução das riquezas a sufocam e a tornam infrutuosa.
23 He which is sowne in the good grounde is he that heareth the worde and vnderstodeth it which also bereth frute and bringeth forth some an hundred folde some sixtie folde and some thirty folde.
23 A terra boa semeada é aquele que ouve a palavra e a compreende, e produz fruto: cem por um, sessenta por um, trinta por um.
24 Another similitude put he forth vnto the sayinge: The kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto a man which sowed good seed in his felde.
24 Jesus propôs-lhes outra parábola: O Reino dos céus é semelhante a um homem que tinha semeado boa semente em seu campo.
25 But whyll men slepte ther came his foo and sowed tares amonge the wheate and wet his waye.
25 Na hora, porém, em que os homens repousavam, veio o seu inimigo, semeou joio no meio do trigo e partiu.
26 When the blade was spronge vp and had brought forth frute the appered the tares also.
26 O trigo cresceu e deu fruto, mas apareceu também o joio.
27 The servaunts came to the housholder and sayde vnto him: Syr sowedest not thou good seed in thy closse from whence the hath it tares?
27 Os servidores do pai de família vieram e disseram-lhe: - Senhor, não semeaste bom trigo em teu campo? Donde vem, pois, o joio?
28 He sayde to the the envious man hath done this. Then the servauntes sayde vnto him: wilt thou then that we go and gader them?
28 Disse-lhes ele: - Foi um inimigo que fez isto! Replicaram-lhe: - Queres que vamos e o arranquemos?
29 But he sayde nay lest whill ye go aboute to wede out the tares ye plucke vppe also with them the wheate by the rottes:
29 - Não, disse ele; arrancando o joio, arriscais a tirar também o trigo.
30 let bothe growe to gether tyll harvest come and in tyme of harvest I wyll saye to the repers gather ye fyrst the tares and bind the in sheves to be bret: but gather the wheete into my barne.
30 Deixai-os crescer juntos até a colheita. No tempo da colheita, direi aos ceifadores: arrancai primeiro o joio e atai-o em feixes para o queimar. Recolhei depois o trigo no meu celeiro.
31 Another parable he put forthe vnto the sayinge. The kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto a grayne of mustard seed which a man taketh and soweth in his felde
31 Em seguida, propôs-lhes outra parábola: O Reino dos céus é comparado a um grão de mostarda que um homem toma e semeia em seu campo.
32 which is the leest of all seedes. But when it is groune it is the greatest amonge yerbes and it is a tree: so that the bryddes of the ayer come and bylde in the brauches of it.
32 É esta a menor de todas as sementes, mas, quando cresce, torna-se um arbusto maior que todas as hortaliças, de sorte que os pássaros vêm aninhar-se em seus ramos.
33 Another similitude sayde he to them. The kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto leve which a woman taketh and hydeth in .iii. peckes of meele tyll all be levended.
33 Disse-lhes, por fim, esta outra parábola. O Reino dos céus é comparado ao fermento que uma mulher toma e mistura em três medidas de farinha e que faz fermentar toda a massa.
34 All these thynge spake Iesus vnto the people by similitudes and with oute similitudes spake he nothinge to them
34 Tudo isto disse Jesus à multidão em forma de parábola. De outro modo não lhe falava,
35 to fulfyll that which was spoke by the Prophet sayinge: I wyll open my mouth in similitudes and wyll speake forth thinges which have bene kepte secrete from the begynninge of the worlde.
35 para que se cumprisse a profecia: Abrirei a boca para ensinar em parábolas; revelarei coisas ocultas desde a criação {Sl 77,2}.
36 Then sent Iesus the people awaye and came to housse. And his disciples came vnto him sayinge: declare vnto vs the similitude of the tares of the felde.
36 Então despediu a multidão. Em seguida, entrou de novo na casa e seus discípulos agruparam-se ao redor dele para perguntar-lhe: Explica-nos a parábola do joio no campo.
37 Then answered he and sayde to them. He that soweth the good seed is the sonne of man.
37 Jesus respondeu: O que semeia a boa semente é o Filho do Homem.
38 And the felde is the worlde. And the chyldre of the kingdome they are the good seed. And the tares are the chyldren of the wicked.
38 O campo é o mundo. A boa semente são os filhos do Reino. O joio são os filhos do Maligno.
39 And the enemye that soweth the is the devell. The harvest is the end of the worlde. And the repers be the angels.
39 O inimigo, que o semeia, é o demônio. A colheita é o fim do mundo. Os ceifadores são os anjos.
40 For even as the tares are gaddred and bret in the fyre: so shall it be in the ende of this worlde.
40 E assim como se recolhe o joio para jogá-lo no fogo, assim será no fim do mundo.
41 The sonne of man shall send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kyngdome all thinges that offende and them which do iniquite
41 O Filho do Homem enviará seus anjos, que retirarão de seu Reino todos os escândalos e todos os que fazem o mal
42 and shall cast them into a furnes of fyre. There shalbe waylynge and gnasshing of teth.
42 e os lançarão na fornalha ardente, onde haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
43 Then shall the iuste men shyne as bryght as the sunne in the kyngdome of their father. Whosoever hath eares to heare let him heare.
43 Então, no Reino de seu Pai, os justos resplandecerão como o sol. Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça.
44 Agayne the kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto treasure hidde in the felde the which a man fyndeth and hideth: and for ioy therof goeth and selleth all that he hath and byeth that felde.
44 O Reino dos céus é também semelhante a um tesouro escondido num campo. Um homem o encontra, mas o esconde de novo. E, cheio de alegria, vai, vende tudo o que tem para comprar aquele campo.
45 Agayne the kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto a marchaunt that seketh good pearles
45 O Reino dos céus é ainda semelhante a um negociante que procura pérolas preciosas.
46 which when he had founde one precious pearle wet and solde all that he had and bought it.
46 Encontrando uma de grande valor, vai, vende tudo o que possui e a compra.
47 Agayne the kyngdome of heven is lyke vnto a neet cast into the see that gadereth of all kyndes of fysshes:
47 O Reino dos céus é semelhante ainda a uma rede que, jogada ao mar, recolhe peixes de toda espécie.
48 which when it is full men drawe to londe and sitte and gadre the good into vessels and cast the bad awaye.
48 Quando está repleta, os pescadores puxam-na para a praia, sentam-se e separam nos cestos o que é bom e jogam fora o que não presta.
49 So shall it be at the ende of the worlde. The angels shall come oute and sever the bad from the good
49 Assim será no fim do mundo: os anjos virão separar os maus do meio dos justos
50 and shall cast them into a furnes of fyre: there shalbe waylinge and gnasshynge of teth.
50 e os arrojarão na fornalha, onde haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
51 Iesus sayde vnto them: vnderstonde ye all these thynges? They sayde ye Lorde.
51 Compreendestes tudo isto? Sim, Senhor, responderam eles.
52 Then sayde he vnto them: Therfore every scribe which is taught vnto the kyngdome of heven is lyke an housholder which bryngeth forth out of hys treasure thynges bothe new and olde.
52 Por isso, todo escriba instruído nas coisas do Reino dos céus é comparado a um pai de família que tira de seu tesouro coisas novas e velhas.
53 And it came to passe when Iesus had finisshed these similitudes that he departed thece
53 Após ter exposto as parábolas, Jesus partiu.
54 and came in to his awne countre and taught them in their synagoges in so moche that they were astonyed and sayde: whence cometh all this wysdome and power vnto him?
54 Foi para a sua cidade e ensinava na sinagoga, de modo que todos diziam admirados: Donde lhe vem esta sabedoria e esta força miraculosa?
55 Is not this the carpeters sonne? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren be called Iames and Ioses and Simon and Iudas?
55 Não é este o filho do carpinteiro? Não é Maria sua mãe? Não são seus irmãos Tiago, José, Simão e Judas?
56 And are not his susters all here with vs? Whence hath he all these thynge.
56 E suas irmãs, não vivem todas entre nós? Donde lhe vem, pois, tudo isso?
57 And they were offended by him. The Iesus sayd to the a Prophet is not with out honoure save in hys awne countre and amonge his awne kynne.
57 E não sabiam o que dizer dele. Disse-lhes, porém, Jesus: É só em sua pátria e em sua família que um profeta é menosprezado.
58 And he dyd not many miracles there for there vnbelefes sake.
58 E, por causa da falta de confiança deles, operou ali poucos milagres.
