1 And he called his .xii. disciples vnto hym and gave them power over vnclene sprites to cast them oute and to heale all maner of sicknesses and all maner of deseases.
1 E, chamando os seus doze discípulos, deu-lhes poder sobre os espíritos imundos, para os expulsarem e para curarem toda enfermidade e todo mal.
2 The names of the .xii. Apostles are these. The fyrst Simon called also Peter: and Andrew his brother. Iames the sonne of zebede and Ihon his brother.
2 Ora, os nomes dos doze apóstolos são estes: O primeiro, Simão, chamado Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão;
3 Philip and Bartlemew. Thomas and Mathew the Publican. Iames the sonne of Alphe and Lebbeus otherwyse called Taddeus.
3 Filipe e Bartolomeu; Tomé e Mateus, o publicano; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Lebeu, apelidado Tadeu;
4 Simon of Cane and Iudas Iscarioth which also betrayed hym.
4 Simão, o Zelote, e Judas Iscariotes, aquele que o traiu.
5 These .xii. sent Iesus and commaunded them sayinge: Go not in to the wayes that leade to the gentyls and in to the cities of the Samaritans enter ye not.
5 Jesus enviou estes doze e lhes ordenou, dizendo: Não ireis pelo caminho das gentes, nem entrareis em cidade de samaritanos;
6 But go rather to the lost shepe of the housse of Israel.
6 mas ide, antes, às ovelhas perdidas da casa de Israel;
7 Go and preach sayinge: that the kyngdome of heven is at hande.
7 e, indo, pregai, dizendo: É chegado o Reino dos céus.
8 Heale the sicke clense the lepers rayse the deed caste oute the devils. Frely ye have receved frely geve agayne.
8 Curai os enfermos, limpai os leprosos, ressuscitai os mortos, expulsai os demônios; de graça recebestes, de graça dai.
9 Posses not golde nor silver nor brassse yn youre gerdels
9 Não possuais ouro, nem prata, nem cobre, em vossos cintos;
10 nor yet scrip towardes your iorney: nether two cotes nether shues nor yet a staffe. For the workman is worthy to have his meate.
10 nem alforjes para o caminho, nem duas túnicas, nem sandálias, nem bordão, porque digno é o operário do seu alimento.
11 In to whatsoever cite or toune ye shall come enquyre who ys worthy yn it and there abyde till ye goo thence.
11 E, em qualquer cidade ou aldeia em que entrardes, procurai saber quem nela seja digno e hospedai-vos aí até que vos retireis.
12 And when ye come in to an housse salute the same.
12 E, quando entrardes nalguma casa, saudai-a;
13 And yf the housse be worthy youre peace shall come apon it. But yf it be not worthy youre peace shall retourne to you agayne.
13 e, se a casa for digna, desça sobre ela a vossa paz; mas, se não for digna, torne para vós a vossa paz.
14 And whosoever shall not receave you nor will heare youre preachynge: when ye departe oute of that housse or that cite shake of the duste of youre fete.
14 E, se ninguém vos receber, nem escutar as vossas palavras, saindo daquela casa ou cidade, sacudi o pó dos vossos pés.
15 Truly I say vnto you: it shalbe easier for the londe of zodoma and Gomorra in the daye of iudgement then for that cite.
15 Em verdade vos digo que, no Dia do Juízo, haverá menos rigor para o país de Sodoma e Gomorra do que para aquela cidade.
16 Beholde I sende you forthe as shepe amonge wolves. Be ye therfore wyse as serpetes and innocent as doves.
16 Eis que vos envio como ovelhas ao meio de lobos; portanto, sede prudentes como as serpentes e símplices como as pombas.
17 Beware of men for they shall deliver you vp to the consels and shall scourge you in their synagoges.
17 Acautelai-vos, porém, dos homens, porque eles vos entregarão aos sinédrios e vos açoitarão nas suas sinagogas;
18 And ye shall be brought to the heed rulers and kynges for my sake in witnes to them and to the gentyls.
18 e sereis até conduzidos à presença dos governadores e dos reis, por causa de mim, para
19 But when they delyver you vp take no thought how or what ye shall speake for that shalbe geve you even in that same houre what ye shall saye.
19 Mas, quando vos entregarem, não vos dê cuidado como ou o que haveis de falar, porque, naquela
20 For it is not ye that speke but the sprite of your father which speaketh in you.
20 Porque não sois vós quem falará, mas o Espírito de vosso Pai é que fala em vós.
21 The brother shall betraye the brother to deeth and the father the sonne. And the chyldre shall aryse agaynste their fathers and mothers and shall put them to deethe:
21 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai, o filho; e os filhos se levantarão contra os pais e os matarão.
22 and ye shall be hated of all me for my name. But he that endureth to the ende shalbe saved.
22 E odiados de todos sereis por causa do meu nome; mas aquele que perseverar até ao fim será salvo.
23 When they persecute you in one cite flye in to another. I tell you for a treuth ye shall not fynysshe all that cities of Israel tyll the sonne of man be come.
23 Quando, pois, vos perseguirem nesta cidade, fugi para outra; porque em verdade vos digo que não acabareis de sem que venha o Filho do Homem.
24 The disciple ys not above hys master: nor yet the servaut above his lorde.
24 Não é o discípulo mais do que o mestre, nem é o servo mais do que o seu senhor.
25 It is ynough for the disciple to be as hys master ys and that the servaunt be as his lorde ys. yf they have called the lorde of the housse beelzebub: how moche more shall they call them of his housholde so?
25 Basta ao discípulo ser como seu mestre, e ao servo ser como seu senhor. Se chamaram Belzebu ao pai de família, quanto mais aos seus domésticos?
26 Feare the not therfore. There is no thinge so close that shall not be openned and no thinge so hyd that shall not be knowen.
26 Portanto, não os temais, porque nada há encoberto que não haja de revelar-se, nem oculto que não haja de saber-se.
27 What I tell you in dercknes that speake ye in lyght. And what ye heare in the eare that preache the on the housse toppes.
27 O que vos digo em trevas, dizei-o em luz; e o que escutais ao ouvido, pregai-
28 And feare ye not them which kyll the body and be not able to kyll the soule. But rather feare hym which is able to destroye bothe soule and body into hell.
28 E não temais os que matam o corpo e não podem matar a alma; temei, antes, aquele que pode fazer perecer no inferno a alma e o corpo.
29 Are not two sparowes solde for a farthinge? And none of them dothe lyght on the grounde with out youre father.
29 Não se vendem dois passarinhos por um ceitil? E nenhum deles cairá em terra sem
30 And now are all the heeris of youre heedis numbred.
30 E até mesmo os cabelos da vossa cabeça estão todos contados.
31 Feare ye not therfore: ye are of more value then many sparowes.
31 Não temais, pois; mais valeis vós do que muitos passarinhos.
32 Who soever therfore shall knowledge me before men hym will I knowledge also before my father which is in heuen.
32 Portanto, qualquer que me confessar diante dos homens, eu o confessarei diante de meu Pai, que
33 But whoso ever shall denye me before men hym will I also denye before my father which is in heven.
33 Mas qualquer que me negar diante dos homens, eu o negarei também diante de meu Pai, que
34 Thynke not that I am come to sende peace into the erth. I came not to send peace but a swearde.
34 Não cuideis que vim trazer a paz à terra; não vim trazer paz, mas espada;
35 For I am come to set a man at varyaunce ageynst hys father and the doughter ageynst hyr mother and the doughterlawe ageynst her motherlawe:
35 porque eu vim pôr em dissensão o homem contra seu pai, e a filha contra sua mãe, e a nora contra sua sogra.
36 And a mannes fooes shalbe they of hys owne housholde.
36 E, assim, os inimigos do homem serão os seus familiares.
37 He that lovith hys father or mother more then me is not mete for me. And he that loveth his sonne or doughter more then me is not mete for me.
37 Quem ama o pai ou a mãe mais do que a mim não é digno de mim; e quem ama o filho ou a filha mais do que a mim não é digno de mim.
38 And he that taketh not his crosse and foloweth me ys not mete for me.
38 E quem não toma a sua cruz e não segue após mim não é digno de mim.
39 He that fyndeth hys lyfe shall lose it: and he that losith hys lyfe for my sake shall fynde it.
39 Quem achar a sua vida perdê-la-á; e quem perder a sua vida por amor de mim achá-la-á.
40 He that receavith you receavith me: and he that receavith me receavith him that sent me.
40 Quem vos recebe a mim me recebe; e quem me recebe a mim, recebe aquele que me enviou.
41 He that receavith a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receave a prophetes rewarde. And he that receavith a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receave the rewarde of a righteous man.

42 And whosoever shall geve vnto one of these lytle ones to drincke a cuppe of colde water only in the name of a disciple: I tel you of a trueth he shall not lose his rewarde.
