1 And the thryde daye was ther a mariage in Cana a cite of Galile: and the mother of Iesus was there.
1 Três dias depois, celebravam-se bodas em Caná da Galiléia, e achava-se ali a mãe de Jesus.
2 And Iesus was called also and his disciples vnto the mariage.
2 Também foram convidados Jesus e os seus discípulos.
3 And when the wyne fayled the mother of Iesus sayde vnto him: they have no wyne.
3 Como viesse a faltar vinho, a mãe de Jesus disse-lhe: Eles já não têm vinho.
4 Iesus sayde vnto her: woman what have I to do with the? myne houre is not yet come.
4 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Mulher, isso compete a nós? Minha hora ainda não chegou.
5 His mother sayde vnto the ministres: whatsoever he sayeth vnto you do it.
5 Disse, então, sua mãe aos serventes: Fazei o que ele vos disser.
6 And therwere stondynge theare sixe water pottes of stone after the maner of the purifyinge of the Iewes contaynynge two or thre fyrkins a pece.
6 Ora, achavam-se ali seis talhas de pedra para as purificações dos judeus, que continham cada qual duas ou três medidas.
7 And Iesus sayde vnto them: fyll the water pottes with water. And they fylled them vp to the brym.
7 Jesus ordena-lhes: Enchei as talhas de água. Eles encheram-nas até em cima.
8 And he sayde vnto them: drawe out now and beare vnto the governer of the feaste. And they bare it.
8 Tirai agora , disse-lhes Jesus, e levai ao chefe dos serventes. E levaram.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was turned vnto wyne and knewe not whence it was (but the ministres which drue the water knew). He called the brydegrome
9 Logo que o chefe dos serventes provou da água tornada vinho, não sabendo de onde era {se bem que o soubessem os serventes, pois tinham tirado a água}, chamou o noivo
10 and sayde vnto him. All men at the beginnynge set forth good wyne and when men be dronke then that which is worsse. But thou hast kept backe the good wyne vntyll now.
10 e disse-lhe: É costume servir primeiro o vinho bom e, depois, quando os convidados já estão quase embriagados, servir o menos bom. Mas tu guardaste o vinho melhor até agora.
11 This beginnynge of miracles dyd Iesus in Cana of Galile and shewed his glory and his disciples beleved on him.
11 Este foi o primeiro milagre de Jesus; realizou-o em Caná da Galiléia. Manifestou a sua glória, e os seus discípulos creram nele.
12 After that he descended in to Capernaum and his mother and his brethren and his disciples: but contynued not manye dayes there.
12 Depois disso, desceu para Cafarnaum, com sua mãe, seus irmãos e seus discípulos; e ali só demoraram poucos dias.
13 And the Iewes ester was even at honde and Iesus went vp to Ierusalem
13 Estava próxima a Páscoa dos judeus, e Jesus subiu a Jerusalém.
14 and founde syttynge in the temple those that solde oxen and shepe and doves and chaungers of money.
14 Encontrou no templo os negociantes de bois, ovelhas e pombas, e mesas dos trocadores de moedas.
15 And he made a scourge of small cordes and drave them all out of the temple with the shepe and oxen and powred oute the changers money and overthrue the tables
15 Fez ele um chicote de cordas, expulsou todos do templo, como também as ovelhas e os bois, espalhou pelo chão o dinheiro dos trocadores e derrubou as mesas.
16 and sayde vnto them that solde doves: Have these thinges hence and make not my fathers housse an housse of marchaundyse.
16 Disse aos que vendiam as pombas: Tirai isto daqui e não façais da casa de meu Pai uma casa de negociantes.
17 And his disciples remembred how that it was wrytten: the zele of thyne housse hath even eaten me.
17 Lembraram-se então os seus discípulos do que está escrito: O zelo da tua casa me consome {Sl 68,10}.
18 Then answered the Iewes and sayde vnto him: what token shewest thou vnto vs seynge that thou dost these thinges?
18 Perguntaram-lhe os judeus: Que sinal nos apresentas tu, para procederes deste modo?
19 Iesus answered and sayd vnto them: destroye this temple and in thre dayes I will reare it vp agayne.
19 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Destruí vós este templo, e eu o reerguerei em três dias.
20 Then sayde the Iewes: xlvi. yeares was this temple abuyldinge: and wylt thou reare it vp in thre dayes:
20 Os judeus replicaram: Em quarenta e seis anos foi edificado este templo, e tu hás de levantá-lo em três dias?!
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
21 Mas ele falava do templo do seu corpo.
22 Assone therfore as he was rysen from deeth agayne his disciples remembred that he thus sayde. And they beleved the scripture and the wordes which Iesus had sayde.
22 Depois que ressurgiu dos mortos, os seus discípulos lembraram-se destas palavras e creram na Escritura e na palavra de Jesus.
23 When he was at Ierusalem at ester in the feaste many beleved on his name when they sawe his miracles which he dyd.
23 Enquanto Jesus celebrava em Jerusalém a festa da Páscoa, muitos creram no seu nome, à vista dos milagres que fazia.
24 But Iesus put not him selfe in their hondes because he knewe all men
24 Mas Jesus mesmo não se fiava neles, porque os conhecia a todos.
25 and neded not, that eny man shuld testify of man. For he knewe what was in man.
25 Ele não necessitava que alguém desse testemunho de nenhum homem, pois ele bem sabia o que havia no homem.
