1 And then was geven me a rede lyke vnto a rodd and it was sayd vnto me: Ryse and mete the temple of god and the aultre and them that worshippe therin
1 Foi-me dado um caniço semelhante a uma vara, e também me foi dito: — Levante-se e vá medir o santuário de Deus, o altar, e os que adoram no santuário.
2 and the quyre which is within the temple cast oute and mete it not: for it is gevyn vnto the gentyles and the holy cite shall they treade vnderfote .xlii. monethes.
2 Mas deixe de lado o átrio exterior do santuário e não o meça, porque esse átrio foi dado aos gentios, que, por quarenta e dois meses, pisarão a cidade santa.
3 And I will geve power vnto my two wytnesses and they shall prophesy .M.iic. and .lx. dayes clothed in sacke cloth.
3 Darei autoridade às minhas duas testemunhas para que profetizem durante mil duzentos e sessenta dias, vestidas de pano de saco.
4 These are two olyve trees and two candlestyckes stodinge before the god of the erth
4 São estas as duas oliveiras e os dois candelabros que estão em pé diante do Senhor da terra.
5 And if eny man will hurt them fyre shall procede out of their mouthes and consume their ennemyes. And yf eny man will hurt the this wyse muste he be kylled.
5 Se alguém pretende causar-lhes dano, da boca dessas testemunhas sai fogo e devora os inimigos; sim, se alguém pretender causar-lhes dano, certamente deve morrer.
6 These have power to shut heven that it rayne not in the dayes of their prophesyinge: and have power over waters to turne them to bloud and to smyte the erth with almaner plages as often as they will.
6 Elas têm autoridade para fechar o céu, para que não chova durante os dias em que profetizarem. Têm autoridade também sobre as águas, para transformá-las em sangue, bem como para ferir a terra com todo tipo de flagelos, tantas vezes quantas quiserem.
7 And when they have fynysshed their testimony the beste that cam oute of the bottomlesse pytt shall make warre agaynst them and shall overcome them and kyll them.
7 Quando tiverem, então, concluído o testemunho que devem dar, a besta que surge do abismo fará guerra contra elas; a besta vencerá e matará as testemunhas.
8 And their boddyes shall lye in the stretes of the greate cite which spritually is called zodom and Egypte where oure lorde was crucified.
8 E os seus cadáveres ficarão estirados na praça da grande cidade que, espiritualmente, se chama Sodoma e Egito, onde também o seu Senhor foi crucificado.
9 And they of the people and kynredes and tonges and they of the nacions shall se their bodyes .iii. dayes and an halfe and shall not suffre their boddyes to be put in graves.
9 Então, muitos dentre os povos, tribos, línguas e nações contemplarão os cadáveres das duas testemunhas, por três dias e meio, e não permitirão que esses cadáveres sejam sepultados.
10 And they that dwell apon the erth shall reioyce over them and be glad and shall send gyftes one to another for these two prophetes vexed them that dwelt on the erth.
10 Os que habitam sobre a terra se alegrarão por causa da morte dessas duas testemunhas, realizarão festas e enviarão presentes uns aos outros, porque esses dois profetas atormentaram os que moram sobre a terra.
11 And after .iii. dayes and an halffe the sprete of lyfe from god entred into the. And they stode vp apon their fete: and greate feare came apon the which sawe them.
11 Mas, depois dos três dias e meio, entrou neles um espírito de vida vindo da parte de Deus, e eles se ergueram sobre os pés, e aqueles que os viram ficaram com muito medo.
12 And they herde a greate voyce from heven saying vnto them. Come vp hidder. And they ascended vp into heven in a cloude and their ennemyes sawe them.
12 E as duas testemunhas ouviram uma voz forte vinda do céu, dizendo-lhes: — Subam para cá. E subiram ao céu numa nuvem, e os seus inimigos as contemplaram.
13 And the same houre was ther a gret erth quake and the tenthe parte of the cite fell and in the erth quake were slayne names of men seven .M. and the remnaunt were feared and gave glory to god of heven.
13 Naquela hora, houve grande terremoto, e ruiu a décima parte da cidade. Nesse terremoto, morreram sete mil pessoas. As outras pessoas ficaram aterrorizadas e deram glória ao Deus do céu.
14 The seconde woo is past and beholde the thyrd woo wyll come anon.
14 Passou o segundo ai. Eis que, sem demora, vem o terceiro ai.
15 And the seventh angell blewe and therwere made great voyces in heven sayinge: the kyngdoms of this worlde are oure lordes and his christes and he shall raygne for ever more.
15 O sétimo anjo tocou a trombeta, e houve no céu vozes fortes, dizendo: “O reino do mundo se tornou de nosso Senhor e do seu Cristo, e ele reinará para todo o sempre.”
16 And the .xxiiii. elders which sytt before god on their seates fell apon their faces and worshipped God
16 E os vinte e quatro anciãos que estavam sentados no seu trono, diante de Deus, prostraram-se sobre o seu rosto e adoraram a Deus,
17 sayinge: we geve the thankes lorde God allmyghte: which arte and wast and arte to come for thou haste receaved thy great myght and hast raygned.
17 dizendo: “Graças te damos, Senhor Deus, Todo-Poderoso, que és e que eras, porque assumiste o teu grande poder e passaste a reinar.
18 And the nacions were angry and thy wrath is come and the tyme of the deed that they shuld be iudged and that thou shuldest geve rewarde vnto thy servauntes the prophettes and saynctes and to them that feare thy name small and great and shuldest destroye them which destroye the erth.
18 Na verdade, as nações se enfureceram; chegou, porém, a tua ira, e o tempo determinado para serem julgados os mortos, para se dar o galardão aos teus servos, os profetas, aos santos e aos que temem o teu nome, tanto aos pequenos como aos grandes, e para destruíres os que destroem a terra.”
19 And the temple of God was openyd in heven and there was sene in his temple the arcke of his testament: and ther folowed lyghtnynges and voyces and thondrynges and erth quake and moche hayle.
19 Abriu-se, então, o santuário de Deus, que se acha no céu, e foi vista a arca da sua aliança no seu santuário, e sobrevieram relâmpagos, vozes, trovões, terremoto e forte chuva de granizo.
