1 Paul an Apostle of Iesu Christ by the will of God to preache the promes of lyfe which lyfe is in Christ Iesu.
1 Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus pela vontade de Deus, segundo a promessa da vida que está em Cristo Jesus,
2 To Timothe his beloved sonne. Grace mercy and peace from God the father and from Christ Iesu oure Lorde.
2 a Timóteo, amado filho: Graça, misericórdia e paz da parte de Deus Pai e de Cristo Jesus nosso Senhor.
3 I thanke god whom I serve from myne elders with pure consciece that with out ceasynge I make mencion of the in my prayres nyght and daye
3 Dou graças a Deus, a quem desde os meus antepassados sirvo com uma consciência pura, de que sem cessar faço menção de ti em minhas súplicas de noite e de dia;
4 desyrynge to se the myndfull of thy teares: so that I am filled with ioye
4 e, recordando-me das tuas lágrimas, desejo muito ver-te, para me encher de gozo;
5 when I call to remembraunce the vnfayned fayth that is in the which dwelt fyrst in thy graumoder Lois and in thy mother Eunica: and am assured that it dwelleth in the also.
5 trazendo à memória a fé não fingida que há em ti, a qual habitou primeiro em tua avó Loide, e em tua mãe Eunice e estou certo de que também habita em ti.
6 Wherfore I warne the that thou stere vp the gyfte of god which is in the by the puttynge on of my hondes.
6 Por esta razão te lembro que despertes o dom de Deus, que há em ti pela imposição das minhas mãos.
7 For god hath not geven to vs the sprete of feare: but of power and of love and of sobrenes of mynde.
7 Porque Deus não nos deu o espírito de covardia, mas de poder, de amor e de moderação.
8 Be not a shamed to testyfye oure lorde nether be a shamed of me which am bounde for his sake: but suffre adversite with the gospell also thorow the power of god
8 Portanto não te envergonhes do testemunho de nosso Senhor, nem de mim, que sou prisioneiro seu; antes participa comigo dos sofrimentos do evangelho segundo o poder de Deus,
9 which saved vs and called vs with an holy callinge not acordinge to oure dedes but accordynge to his awne purpose and grace which grace was geve vs thorowe Christ Iesu before the worlde was
9 que nos salvou, e chamou com uma santa vocação, não segundo as nossas obras, mas segundo o seu próprio propósito e a graça que nos foi dada em Cristo Jesus antes dos tempos eternos,
10 but is nowe declared openly by the appearynge of oure savioure Iesu Christ which hath put away derth and hath brought lyfe and immortalite vnto light thorow the gospell
10 e que agora se manifestou pelo aparecimento de nosso Salvador Cristo Jesus, o qual destruiu a morte, e trouxe à luz a vida e a imortalidade pelo evangelho,
11 whervnto I am apoynted a preacher and an Apostle and a teacher of the gentyls:
11 do qual fui constituído pregador, apóstolo e mestre.
12 for the which cause I also suffre these thinges. Neverthelesse I am not a shamed For I knowe who I have beleved and am sure that he is able to kepe that which I have committed to his kepynge agaynst that daye.
12 Por esta razão sofro também estas coisas, mas não me envergonho; porque eu sei em quem tenho crido, e estou certo de que ele é poderoso para guardar o meu depósito até aquele dia.
13 Se thou have the ensample of the holsome wordes which thou heardest of me in fayth and love which is in Iesu Christ.
13 Conserva o modelo das sãs palavras que de mim tens ouvido na fé e no amor que há em Cristo Jesus;
14 That good thinge whiche was committed to thy kepynge kepe in the holy goost which dwelleth in vs.
14 guarda o bom depósito com o auxílio do Espírito Santo, que habita em nós.
15 This thou knowest how that all they which are in Asia be turned from me. Of which sorte are Phigelos and hermogenes.
15 Bem sabes isto, que me abandonaram todos os que estão na Ásia, entre eles Fígelo e Hermógenes.
16 The lorde geve mercie vnto the housse of Onesiphoros for he ofte refresshed me and was not a shamed of my chayne:
16 O Senhor conceda misericórdia à casa de Onesíforo, porque muitas vezes ele me recreou, e não se envergonhou das minhas cadeias;
17 but when he was at Rome he sought me out very diligently and founde me.
17 antes quando veio a Roma, diligentemente me procurou e me achou.
18 The lorde graunt vnto him that he maye fynde mercie with the lorde at that daye. And in how many thynges he ministred vnto me at Ephesus thou knowest very wel.
18 O Senhor lhe conceda que naquele dia ache misericórdia diante do Senhor. E quantos serviços prestou em Éfeso melhor o sabes tu.
