1 And I coulde not speake vnto you brethren as vnto spretuall: but as vnto carnall even as it were vnto babes in Christ.
1 Eu, porém, irmãos, não pude falar a vocês como a pessoas espirituais, e sim como a pessoas carnais, como a crianças em Cristo.
2 I gave you mylke to drinke and not meate. For ye then were not stronge no nether yet are.
2 Eu lhes dei leite para beber; não pude alimentá-los com comida sólida, porque vocês ainda não podiam suportar. Nem ainda agora podem, porque vocês ainda são carnais.
3 For ye are yet carnall. As longe verely as ther is amonge you envyige stryfe and dissencion: are ye not carnall and walke after the manner of men?
3 Porque, se há ciúmes e brigas entre vocês, será que isso não mostra que são carnais e andam segundo os padrões humanos?
4 As loge as one sayth I holde of Paul and another I am of Apollo are ye not carnall?
4 Quando alguém diz: “Eu sou de Paulo”, e outro diz: “Eu sou de Apolo”, não é evidente que vocês andam segundo padrões humanos?
5 What is Paul? What thinge is Apollo? Only ministers are they by who ye beleved even as the Lorde gave every man grace.
5 Quem é Apolo? E quem é Paulo? São servos por meio de quem vocês creram, e isto conforme o Senhor concedeu a cada um.
6 I have planted: Apollo watred: but god gave increace.
6 Eu plantei, Apolo regou, mas o crescimento veio de Deus.
7 So then nether is he that planteth eny thinge nether he that watreth: but god which gave the increace.
7 De modo que nem o que planta é alguma coisa, nem o que rega, mas Deus, que dá o crescimento.
8 He that planteth and he that watreth are nether better then the other. Every man yet shall receave his rewarde accordynge to his laboure.
8 Ora, o que planta e o que rega são um, e cada um receberá a sua recompensa de acordo com o seu próprio trabalho.
9 We are goddis labourers ye are goddis husbandrye ye are goddis byldynge.
9 Porque nós somos cooperadores de Deus, e vocês são lavoura de Deus e edifício de Deus.
10 Accordynge to the grace of god geven vnto me as a wyse bylder have I layde the foundacion And another bylt theron But let every man take hede how he bildeth apon.
10 Segundo a graça de Deus que me foi dada, lancei o fundamento como sábio construtor, e outro edifica sobre ele. Porém cada um veja como edifica.
11 For other foundacion can no man laye then that which is layde which is Iesus Christ.
11 Porque ninguém pode lançar outro fundamento, além do que foi posto, o qual é Jesus Cristo.
12 Yf eny man bilde on this foundacion golde silver precious stones tymber haye or stoble:
12 E, se o que alguém edifica sobre o fundamento é ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno ou palha,
13 every mannes worke shall appere. For the daye shall declare it and it shalbe shewed in fyre. And ye fyre shall trye euery mannes worke what it is.
13 a obra de cada um se tornará manifesta, pois o Dia a demonstrará. Porque será revelada pelo fogo, e o fogo provará qual é a obra de cada um.
14 Yf eny mannes worke that he hath bylt apon byde he shall receave a rewarde.
14 Se aquilo que alguém edificou sobre o fundamento permanecer, esse receberá recompensa.
15 If eny manes worke burne he shall suffre losse: but he shalbe safe him selfe: neverthelesse yet as it were thorow fyre.
15 Se a obra de alguém se queimar, esse sofrerá dano. Porém ele mesmo será salvo, mas como que através do fogo.
16 Are ye not ware that ye are the temple of god and how that the sprete of god dwelleth in you?
16 Vocês não sabem que são santuário de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês?
17 Yf eny man defyle the temple of god him shall god destroye. For the temple of god is holy which temple ye are.
17 Se alguém destruir o santuário de Deus, Deus o destruirá. Porque o santuário de Deus, que são vocês, é sagrado.
18 Let no man deceave him silfe. Yf eny man seme wyse amonge you let him be a fole in this worlde that he maye be wyse.
18 Que ninguém engane a si mesmo! Se algum de vocês pensa que é sábio neste mundo, faça-se louco para se tornar sábio.
19 For the wisdome of this worlde is folysshnes with god. For it is written: he compaseth the wyse in their craftynes.
19 Porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura diante de Deus. Pois está escrito: “Ele apanha os sábios na própria astúcia deles.”
20 And agayne God knoweth the thoughtes of the wyse that they be vayne.
20 E também: “O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios, e sabe que são pensamentos vãos.”
21 Therfore let no man reioyce in men. For all thinges are youres
21 Portanto, ninguém se glorie nos homens. Porque tudo é de vocês:
22 whether it be Paul other Apollo other Cephas: whether it be the worlde other lyfe other deeth whether they be present thinges or thinges to come: all are youres
22 seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Cefas, seja o mundo, seja a vida, seja a morte, sejam as coisas presentes, sejam as futuras, tudo é de vocês,
23 and ye are Christes and Christ is goddis.
23 e vocês são de Cristo, e Cristo é de Deus.
