1 And I brethren when I came to you came not in gloriousnes of wordes or of wysdome shewynge vnto you the testimony of God.
1 Irmãos, quando estive com vocês, anunciando-lhes o mistério de Deus, não o fiz com ostentação de linguagem ou de sabedoria.
2 Nether shewed I my selfe that I knewe eny thinge amonge you save Iesus Christ even the same that was crucified.
2 Porque decidi nada saber entre vocês, a não ser Jesus Cristo, e este, crucificado.
3 And I was amonge you in weaknes and in feare and in moche treblinge.
3 E foi em fraqueza, temor e grande tremor que eu estive entre vocês.
4 And my wordes and my preachinge were not with entysynge wordes of manes wysdome: but in shewinge of the sprete and of power
4 A minha palavra e a minha pregação não consistiram em linguagem persuasiva de sabedoria, mas em demonstração do Espírito e de poder,
5 that youre fayth shuld not stonde in the wysdome of me but in the power of God.
5 para que a fé que vocês têm não se apoiasse em sabedoria humana, mas no poder de Deus.
6 That we speake of is wysdome amonge them that are perfecte: not the wysdome of this worlde nether of the rulars of this worlde (which go to nought)
6 No entanto, transmitimos sabedoria entre os que são maduros. Não, porém, a sabedoria deste mundo, nem a dos poderosos desta época, que são reduzidos a nada.
7 but we speake the wysdome of God which is in secrete and lieth hyd which God ordeyned before the worlde vnto oure glory:
7 Pelo contrário, transmitimos a sabedoria de Deus em mistério, a sabedoria que estava oculta e que Deus predeterminou desde a eternidade para a nossa glória.
8 which wysdome none of the rulars of the worlde knewe. For had they knowe it they wolde not have crucified the Lorde of glory.
8 Nenhum dos poderosos deste mundo conheceu essa sabedoria. Porque, se a tivessem conhecido, jamais teriam crucificado o Senhor da glória.
9 But as it is written: The eye hath not sene and the eare hath not hearde nether have entred into the herte of man the thinges which God hath prepared for them that love him.
9 Mas, como está escrito: “Nem olhos viram, nem ouvidos ouviram, nem jamais penetrou em coração humano o que Deus tem preparado para aqueles que o amam.”
10 But God hath opened them vnto vs by his sprete. For the sprete searcheth all thinges the the bottome of Goddes secretes.
10 Deus, porém, revelou isso a nós por meio do Espírito. Porque o Espírito sonda todas as coisas, até mesmo as profundezas de Deus.
11 For what man knoweth the thinges of a man: save the sprete of a man which is with in him? Even so the thinges of God knoweth no man but the sprete of god.
11 Pois quem conhece as coisas do ser humano, a não ser o próprio espírito humano, que nele está? Assim, ninguém conhece as coisas de Deus, a não ser o Espírito de Deus.
12 And we have not receaved the sprete of the worlde: but the sprete which cometh of god for to knowe the thinges that are geve to vs of god
12 E nós não temos recebido o espírito do mundo, e sim o Espírito que vem de Deus, para que conheçamos o que por Deus nos foi dado gratuitamente.
13 which thinges also we speake not in the conynge wordes of manes wysdome but with the conynge wordes of the holy goost makynge spretuall comparesons of spretuall thinges.
13 Disto também falamos, não em palavras ensinadas pela sabedoria humana, mas ensinadas pelo Espírito, conferindo coisas espirituais com espirituais.
14 For the naturall man perceaveth not the thinges of the sprete of god. For they are but folysshnes vnto him. Nether can he perceave them because he is spretually examined.
14 Ora, a pessoa natural não aceita as coisas do Espírito de Deus, porque lhe são loucura. E ela não pode entendê-las, porque elas se discernem espiritualmente.
15 But he that is spretuall discusseth all thinges: yet he him selfe is iudged of no man.
15 Porém a pessoa espiritual julga todas as coisas, mas ela não é julgada por ninguém.
16 For who knoweth the mynde of the Lorde other who shall informe him? But we vnderstonde the mynde of Christ.
16 Pois quem conheceu a mente do Senhor, para que o possa instruir? Nós, porém, temos a mente de Cristo.
