1 Folowe me as I do Christ.
1 Sigam o meu exemplo como eu sigo o exemplo de Cristo.
2 I commende you brethren that ye remember me in all thinges and kepe the ordinaunces even as I delyvered them to you.
2 Eu os elogio porque vocês sempre lembram de mim e seguem as instruções que eu passei para vocês.
3 I wolde ye knew that Christ is the heed of every man. And the man is the womans heed. And God is Christes heed.
3 Mas quero que entendam que Cristo tem autoridade sobre todo marido, que o marido tem autoridade sobre a esposa e que Deus tem autoridade sobre Cristo.
4 Every man prayinge or prophesyinge havynge eny thynge on his heed shameth his heed.
4 Se um homem cobre a cabeça quando ora ou anuncia a mensagem de Deus nas reuniões de adoração, ele está ofendendo a honra de Cristo.
5 Every woman that prayeth or prophisieth bare hedded dishonesteth hyr heed. For it is even all one and the very same thinge even as though she were shaven.
5 E, se uma mulher não cobre a cabeça quando ora ou anuncia a mensagem de Deus nas reuniões de adoração, ela está ofendendo a honra do seu marido. Nesse caso, não há nenhuma diferença entre ela e a mulher que tem a cabeça rapada .
6 If the woman be not covered lett her also be shoren. If it be shame for a woman to be shorne or shave let her cover her heed.
6 Se a mulher não cobre a cabeça, então é melhor que ela corte o cabelo de uma vez. Já que é vergonhoso para a mulher rapar a cabeça ou cortar o cabelo, então ela deve cobrir a cabeça.
7 A man ought not to cover his heed for as moche as he is the image and glory of God. The woman is the glory of the man.
7 O homem não precisa cobrir a cabeça, pois ele reflete a imagem e a glória de Deus. Mas a mulher reflete a glória do homem,
8 For the man is not of the woman but the woman of the man.
8 pois o homem não foi feito da mulher, mas a mulher foi feita do homem.
9 Nether was the man created for the womans sake: but the woman for the mannes sake.
9 O homem não foi criado por causa da mulher, mas sim a mulher por causa do homem.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her heed for the angels sakes.
10 Portanto, por causa dos anjos , a mulher deve pôr um véu na cabeça para mostrar que está debaixo da autoridade do marido.
11 Neverthelesse nether is the man with oute the woman nether the woman with out the man in the lorde.
11 No entanto, por estarmos unidos com o Senhor, nem a mulher é independente do homem, nem o homem é independente da mulher.
12 For as the woman is of the man even so is the man by the woman: but all is of God.
12 Porque assim como a mulher foi feita do homem, assim também o homem nasce da mulher. E tudo vem de Deus.
13 Iudge in youre selves whether it be coly that a woman praye vnto god bare heeded.
13 Julguem vocês mesmos: será que é certo que, num culto de adoração, a mulher ore a Deus sem estar com a cabeça coberta?
14 Or els doth not nature teach you that it is a shame for a man if he have longe heere:
14 Pois a própria natureza ensina que o cabelo comprido é uma desonra para o homem,
15 and a prayse to a woman yf she have longe heere? For her heere is geven her to cover her with all.
15 mas para a mulher o cabelo comprido é motivo de orgulho. O cabelo foi dado a ela para lhe servir de véu.
16 If there be eny man amonge you that lusteth to stryve let him knowe that we have no soche custome nether the congregacions of God.
16 Mas, se alguém quer discutir sobre esse assunto, o que eu posso dizer é que nem nós nem as igrejas de Deus temos outro costume nas reuniões de adoração.
17 This I warne you of and commende not that ye come to gedder: not after a better maner but after a worsse.
17 Nas instruções que agora vou dar a vocês, eu não posso elogiá-los, pois as suas reuniões de adoração fazem mais mal do que bem.
18 Fyrst of all when ye come togedder in the congregacion I heare that ther is dissencion amonge you: and I partly beleve it.
18 Para começar, me contaram que nessas reuniões há grupos de pessoas que estão brigando, e eu creio que em parte isso é verdade.
19 For ther must be sectes amonge you that they which are perfecte amonge you myght be knowen.
19 Não há dúvida de que é preciso haver divisões entre vocês para que fique claro quem são os que estão certos.
20 When ye come to gedder a man cannot eate the lordes supper.
20 Quando vocês se reúnem, não é a Ceia do Senhor que vocês comem.
21 For every man begynneth a fore to eate his awne supper. And one is hongrye and another is dronken.
21 Pois, na hora de comer, cada um trata de tomar a sua própria refeição . E assim, enquanto uns ficam com fome, outros chegam até a ficar bêbados.
22 Have ye not houses to eate and to drinke in? Or els despyse ye the congregacion of god and shame them that have not? What shall I saye vnto you? shall I prayse you: In this prayse I you not.
22 Por acaso vocês não têm as suas próprias casas onde podem comer e beber? Ou será que preferem desprezar a Igreja de Deus e envergonhar os que são pobres? O que é que vocês esperam que eu lhes diga? Querem que os elogie? É claro que não vou elogiá-los!
23 That which I delyvered vnto you I receaved of the lorde. For the lorde Iesus the same nyght in which he was betrayed toke breed:
23 Porque eu recebi do Senhor este ensinamento que passei para vocês: que o Senhor Jesus, na noite em que foi traído, pegou o pão
24 and thanked and brake and sayde. Take ye and eate ye: this is my body which is broken for you. This do ye in the remembraunce of me.
24 e deu graças a Deus. Depois partiu o pão e disse: “Isto é o meu corpo, que é entregue em favor de vocês. Façam isto em memória de mim.”
25 After the same maner he toke the cup when sopper was done sayinge. This cup is the newe testament in my bloude. This do as oft as ye drynke it in the remembraunce of me.
25 Assim também, depois do jantar, ele pegou o cálice e disse: “Este cálice é a nova
26 For as often as ye shall eate this breed and drynke this cup ye shall shewe the lordes deeth tyll he come.
26 De maneira que, cada vez que vocês comem deste pão e bebem deste cálice, estão anunciando a morte do Senhor, até que ele venha.
27 Wherfore whosoevere shall eate of this bred or drynke of the cup vnworthely shalbe giltie of the body and bloud of the Lorde
27 Por isso aquele que comer do pão do Senhor ou beber do seu cálice de modo que ofenda a honra do Senhor estará pecando contra o corpo e o sangue do Senhor.
28 Let a man therfore examen him silfe and so let hi eate of the breed and drynke of the cup.
28 Portanto, que cada um examine a sua consciência e então coma do pão e beba do cálice.
29 For he that eateth or drinketh vnworthely eateth and drynketh his awne damnacion because he maketh no difference of the lordis body.
29 Pois, a pessoa que comer do pão ou beber do cálice sem reconhecer que se trata do corpo do Senhor, estará sendo julgada ao comer e beber para o seu próprio castigo.
30 For this cause many are weake and sicke amonge you and many slepe.
30 É por isso que muitos de vocês estão doentes e fracos, e alguns já morreram.
31 Yf we had truly iudged oure selves we shuld not have bene iudged.
31 Se examinássemos primeiro a nossa consciência, nós não seríamos julgados pelo Senhor.
32 But when we are iudged of the lorde we are chastened because we shuld not be daned with the worlde.
32 Mas somos julgados e castigados pelo Senhor, para não sermos condenados junto com o mundo.
33 Wherfore my brethren when ye come to gedder to eate tary one for another.
33 Portanto, meus irmãos, quando vocês se reunirem para a Ceia do Senhor, esperem uns pelos outros.
34 Yf eny man honger let hi eate at home that ye come not togedder vnto condemnacion. Other thinges will I set in order when I come.
34 E, se alguém estiver com fome, que coma em casa, para que Deus não castigue vocês por causa dessas reuniões. Os outros assuntos eu resolverei quando chegar aí.
