1 The LORD reigneth, let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of isles be glad!
1 O SENHOR reina; regozije-se a terra; alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him; Justice and equity are the foundation of his throne.
2 Nuvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele; justiça e juízo são a base do seu trono.
3 Before him goeth a fire, Which burneth up his enemies around.
3 Um fogo vai adiante dele, e abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.
4 His lightnings illumine the world; The earth beholdeth and trembleth.
4 Os seus relâmpagos iluminam o mundo; a terra viu e tremeu.
5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
5 Os montes derretem como cera na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, And all nations behold his glory.
6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.
7 Confounded be they who worship graven images, Who glory in idols! To him, all ye gods, bow down!
7 Confundidos sejam todos os que servem imagens de escultura, que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele todos os deuses.
8 Zion hath heard, and is glad, And the daughters of Judah exult On account of thy judgments, O LORD!
8 Sião ouviu e se alegrou; e os filhos de Judá se alegraram por causa da tua justiça, ó Senhor.
9 For thou, O LORD! art most high above all the earth; Thou art far exalted above all gods!
9 Pois tu, Senhor, és o mais alto sobre toda a terra; tu és muito mais exaltado do que todos os deuses.
10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil! He preserveth the lives of his servants, And delivereth them from the hand of the wicked.
10 Vós, que amais ao Senhor, odiai o mal. Ele guarda as almas dos seus santos; ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, And joy for the upright in heart.
11 A luz semeia-se para o justo, e a alegria para os retos de coração.
12 Rejoice, O ye righteous, in the LORD, And praise his holy name!
12 Alegrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e dai louvores à memória da sua santidade.
