¹ “A psalm of the sons of Korah.” Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, upon his holy mountain.

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, na cidade do nosso Deus.

² Beautiful in its elevation is Mount Zion, The joy of the whole earth; The joy of the farthest North is the city of the great king;

² Seu santo monte, belo e sobranceiro, é a alegria de toda a terra; o monte Sião, para os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ In her palaces God is known as a refuge.

³ Nos palácios dela, Deus se faz conhecer como alto refúgio.

⁴ For, lo! kings were assembled against it; They passed away together.

⁴ Por isso, eis que os reis se coligaram e juntos sumiram-se;

⁵ As soon as they saw, they were astonished; They were confounded, and hasted away.

⁵ bastou-lhes vê-lo, e se espantaram, tomaram-se de assombro e fugiram apressados.

⁶ There terror seized upon them,—Pain, as of a woman in travail;

⁶ O terror ali os venceu, e sentiram dores como de parturiente.

⁷ As when the east wind breaketh in pieces The ships of Tarshish.

⁷ Com vento oriental destruíste as naus de Társis.

⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen In the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it for ever. [[Pause.]]

⁸ Como temos ouvido dizer, assim o vimos na cidade do na cidade do nosso Deus. Deus a estabelece para sempre.

⁹ We think of thy loving-kindness, O God! In the midst of thy temple!

⁹ Pensamos, ó Deus, na tua misericórdia no meio do teu templo.

¹⁰ As thy name, O God! so thy praise, extendeth to the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

¹⁰ Como o teu nome, ó Deus, assim o teu louvor se estende até aos confins da terra; a tua destra está cheia de justiça.

¹¹ Mount Zion rejoiceth, The daughters of Judah exult, On account of thy righteous judgments.

¹¹ Alegre-se o monte Sião, exultem as filhas de Judá, por causa dos teus juízos.

¹² Go round about Zion; number her towers;

¹² Percorrei a Sião, rodeai-a toda, contai-lhe as torres;

¹³ Mark well her bulwarks; count her palaces; That ye may tell it to the next generation!

¹³ notai bem os seus baluartes, observai os seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações vindouras

¹⁴ For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide unto death.

¹⁴ que este é Deus, o nosso Deus para todo o sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
