1 “A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Happy is he who feareth the LORD, Who walketh in his ways!
1 Feliz aquele que teme a Deus , o Senhor , e vive de acordo com a sua vontade!
2 Thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands; Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee!
2 Se você for assim, ganhará o suficiente para viver, será feliz, e tudo dará certo para você.
3 Thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine within thy house; Thy children like olive-branches round about thy table.
3 Em casa, a sua mulher será como uma que dá muita uva; e, em volta da mesa, os seus filhos serão como oliveiras novas.
4 Behold! thus happy is the man who feareth the LORD!
4 Quem teme ao Senhor certamente será abençoado assim.
5 Jehovah shall bless thee out of Zion, And thou shalt see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life;
5 Que, do monte Sião , o Que, em todos os dias da sua vida, você veja o progresso de Jerusalém!
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children. Peace be to Israel!
6 E que você viva para ver os seus netos! Que a paz esteja com o povo de Israel!
