1 Praise ye the LORD! Happy the man who feareth the LORD, Who taketh delight in his commandments!
1 Aleluia! Como é feliz o homem que teme o Senhor e tem grande prazer em seus mandamentos!
2 His posterity shall be mighty on the earth; The race of the righteous shall be blessed.
2 Seus descendentes serão poderosos na terra, serão uma geração abençoada, de homens íntegros.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house; His righteousness shall endure for ever.
3 Grande riqueza há em sua casa, e a sua justiça dura para sempre.
4 To the righteous shall arise light out of darkness; He is gracious and full of compassion and righteousness.
4 A luz raia nas trevas para o íntegro, para quem é misericordioso, compassivo e justo.
5 Happy the man who hath pity and lendeth! He shall sustain his cause in judgment;
5 Feliz é o homem que empresta com generosidade e que com honestidade conduz os seus negócios.
6 Yea, he shall never be moved: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
6 O justo jamais será abalado; para sempre se lembrarão dele.
7 He is not afraid of evil tidings; His heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.
7 Não temerá más notícias; seu coração está firme, confiante no Senhor.
8 His heart is firm; he hath no fear, Till he see his desire upon his enemies.
8 O seu coração está seguro e nada temerá. No final, verá a derrota dos seus adversários.
9 He hath scattered blessings; he hath given to the poor; His righteousness shall endure for ever; His horn shall be exalted with honor.
9 Reparte generosamente com os pobres; a sua justiça dura para sempre; seu poder será exaltado em honra.
10 The wicked shall see, and be grieved; He shall gnash his teeth, and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.
10 O ímpio o vê e fica irado, range os dentes e definha. O desejo dos ímpios se frustrará.
