1 Thus saith Jehovah: Keep ye justice, and practise righteousness; For the coming of my salvation is near, And my deliverance is soon to be revealed.
1 Assim diz o S enhor : “Sejam justos e façam o que é certo, pois logo virei para livrá-los e para mostrar minha justiça entre vocês.
2 Happy the man that doeth this, And the son of man that holdeth it fast; That keepeth the sabbath, and profaneth it not, And restraineth his hand from doing evil.
2 Feliz é aquele que tiver o cuidado de agir desse modo. Feliz é aquele que honrar meus sábados e evitar fazer o mal.
3 And let not the stranger that joineth himself to Jehovah say, Jehovah hath wholly separated me from his people. And let not the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree!
3 “Não permitam que o estrangeiro comprometido com o S enhor diga: ‘O S E não permitam que o eunuco diga: ‘Sou uma árvore seca, sem filhos e sem futuro’.
4 For thus saith Jehovah concerning the eunuchs: They that keep my sabbaths, And take pleasure in doing my will, And hold fast my covenant,
4 Pois assim diz o S enhor : Eu abençoarei os eunucos que guardarem meus sábados e fizerem o que me agrada e se apegarem à minha aliança.
5 To them will I give in my house, and within my walls, a portion and a name, Better than of sons and daughters; An everlasting name will I give them, That shall never fade away.
5 Eu lhes darei, dentro dos muros de minha casa, um memorial e um nome muito maior que filhos e filhas. Pois o nome que lhes darei é permanente; nunca desaparecerá!
6 The strangers, also, that join themselves to Jehovah, to serve him, To love the name of Jehovah, and to be his servants. Every one that keepeth the sabbath, and profaneth it not, And holdeth fast my covenant,
6 “Abençoarei também os estrangeiros comprometidos com o S enhor , que o servem e amam seu nome, que o adoram e não profanam o sábado e que se apegam firmemente à minha aliança.
7 Them will I bring to my holy mountain, And I will make them rejoice in my house of prayer; Their burnt-offerings and sacrifices shall be accepted on mine altar; For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.
7 Eu os levarei ao meu santo monte e os encherei de alegria em minha casa de oração. Aceitarei seus holocaustos e sacrifícios, pois meu templo será chamado casa de oração para todas as nações.
8 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, That gathereth the outcasts of Israel; Yet will I gather others to him, Besides those that are already gathered.
8 Pois o S enhor Soberano, que traz de volta os exilados, diz: Também trarei outros de volta, além do meu povo, Israel”.
9 Come, all ye beasts of the field, Yea, all ye beasts of the forest, to devour!
9 Venham, animais do campo! Venham, animais do bosque! Venham e devorem!
10 His watchmen are all blind; they know nothing; They are all dumb dogs, that cannot bark, Dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber;
10 Pois os vigias do meu povo são cegos e ignorantes. São como cães de guarda mudos, que não avisam quando o perigo se aproxima. Gostam de ficar deitados, dormindo e sonhando;
11 Yet are they greedy dogs that cannot be satisfied; The shepherds themselves will not attend; They all turn aside to their own way, Every one of them to their own gain.
11 como cães gulosos, nunca estão satisfeitos. São pastores ignorantes; cada um segue seu caminho e procura seus interesses.
12 “Come on, let me bring wine, And let us fill ourselves with strong drink, And to-morrow shall be as to-day, And even much more abundant.”
12 Dizem: “Venham, vamos arranjar vinho e dar uma festa; vamos nos embebedar. Amanhã faremos a mesma coisa, e daremos uma festa ainda maior!”.
