1 Awake, awake, put on thy majesty, O Zion! Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For no more shall come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
1 Desperta, desperta, veste-te da tua fortaleza, ó Sião; veste-te das tuas roupas formosas, ó Jerusalém, cidade santa, porque nunca mais entrará em ti nem incircunciso nem imundo.
2 Shake thyself from the dust, Arise and sit erect, O Jerusalem! Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion!
2 Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te, e assenta-te, ó Jerusalém: solta-te das cadeias de teu pescoço, ó cativa filha de Sião.
3 For thus saith Jehovah: For naught were ye sold, And without money shall ye be ransomed.
3 Porque assim diz o Senhor: Por nada fostes vendidos; também sem dinheiro sereis resgatados.
4 For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: My people went down to Egypt formerly to sojourn there, And the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
4 Porque assim diz o Senhor DEUS: O meu povo em tempos passados desceu ao Egito, para peregrinar lá, e a Assíria sem razão o oprimiu.
5 And now, what have I here to do, saith the Lord, When my people is taken away for naught, And their tyrants exult, saith Jehovah, And all the day long my name is blasphemed.
5 E agora, que tenho eu que fazer aqui, diz o Senhor, pois o meu povo foi tomado sem nenhuma razão? Os que dominam sobre ele dão uivos, diz o Senhor; e o meu nome é blasfemado incessantemente o dia todo.
6 Therefore shall my people know my name; Therefore in that day shall they know That I am he that said, Behold, here am I!
6 Portanto o meu povo saberá o meu nome; pois, naquele dia, saberá que sou eu mesmo o que falo: Eis-me aqui.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, of him that proclaimeth peace! That bringeth good tidings, that proclaimeth salvation! That saith to Zion, “Thy God is king!”
7 Quão formosos são, sobre os montes, os pés do que anuncia as boas novas, que faz ouvir a paz, do que anuncia o bem, que faz ouvir a salvação, do que diz a Sião: O teu Deus reina!
8 Hark! the voice of thy watchmen! They lift up the voice together; yea, they shout! For eye to eye shall they behold, When Jehovah returneth to Zion.
8 Eis a voz dos teus atalaias! Eles alçam a voz, juntamente exultam; porque olho a olho verão, quando o Senhor fizer Sião voltar.
9 Break forth into joy; shout together, ye ruins of Jerusalem! For Jehovah hath pity on his people; he redeemeth Jerusalem.
9 Clamai cantando, exultai juntamente, desertos de Jerusalém; porque o Senhor consolou o seu povo, remiu a Jerusalém.
10 Jehovah maketh bare his holy arm In the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth Behold the salvation from our God.
10 O Senhor desnudou o seu santo braço perante os olhos de todas as nações; e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação do nosso Deus.
11 Depart, depart ye; go ye out from thence; Touch no unclean thing! Go ye out from the midst of her; Be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of Jehovah!
11 Retirai-vos, retirai-vos, saí daí, não toqueis coisa imunda; saí do meio dela, purificai-vos, os que levais os vasos do Senhor.
12 For not in haste shall ye go forth, Nor in flight shall ye pass along; For Jehovah shall march in your front, And the God of Israel bring up your rear.
12 Porque vós não saireis apressadamente, nem ireis fugindo; porque o Senhor irá diante de vós, e o Deus de Israel será a vossa retaguarda.
13 Behold, my servant shall prosper; He shall be lifted up, and set on high, and greatly exalted.
13 Eis que o meu servo procederá com prudência; será exaltado, e elevado, e mui sublime.
14 As many were amazed at the sight of him,—So disfigured and scarcely human was his visage, And so unlike that of a man was his form,—
14 Como pasmaram muitos à vista dele, pois o seu parecer estava tão desfigurado, mais do que o de outro qualquer, e a sua figura mais do que a dos outros filhos dos homens.
15 So shall he cause many nations to exult on account of him; Kings shall shut their mouths before him. For what had never been told them shall they see, And what they never heard shall they perceive.
15 Assim borrifará muitas nações, e os reis fecharão as suas bocas por causa dele; porque aquilo que não lhes foi anunciado verão, e aquilo que eles não ouviram entenderão.
