1 Disse mais o Senhor a Jó:
2 Shall he that|strong="H6030" cavilleth contend|strong="H7378" with|strong="H5973" the|strong="H5973" Almighty|strong="H7706"? he that|strong="H6030" argueth with|strong="H5973" God, let him|strong="H5973" answer|strong="H6030" it|strong="H5973".
2 Contenderá contra o Todo-Poderoso o censurador? Quem assim argüi a Deus, responda a estas coisas.
3 Then|strong="H6030" Job answered|strong="H6030" the|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068", and|strong="H3068" said|strong="H6030",
3 Então Jó respondeu ao Senhor, e disse:
4 Behold|strong="H2005", I|strong="H2005" am|strong="H2005" of|strong="H3027" small|strong="H7043" account; what|strong="H4100" shall|strong="H3027" I|strong="H2005" answer|strong="H7725" thee|strong="H3027"? I|strong="H2005" lay|strong="H7760" mine|strong="H7760" hand|strong="H3027" upon|strong="H3027" my|strong="H7760" mouth|strong="H6310".
4 Eis que sou vil; que te responderia eu? Antes ponho a minha mão sobre a boca.
5 Once|strong="H3254" have|strong="H3808" I|strong="H3808" spoken|strong="H1696", and|strong="H6030" I|strong="H3808" will|strong="H3808" not|strong="H3808" answer|strong="H6030"; yea twice|strong="H8147", but|strong="H3808" I|strong="H3808" will|strong="H3808" proceed|strong="H3254" no|strong="H3808" further|strong="H3254".
5 Uma vez tenho falado, e não replicarei; ou ainda duas vezes, porém não prosseguirei.
6 Then|strong="H6030" the|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068" answered|strong="H6030" Job out|strong="H4480" of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" whirlwind|strong="H5591", and|strong="H3068" said|strong="H6030",
6 Então, do meio do redemoinho, o Senhor respondeu a Jó:
7 Gird up thy|strong="H3045" loins|strong="H2504" now|strong="H4994" like a|strong="H3068" man|strong="H1397": I|strong="H3045" will|strong="H1397" demand|strong="H7592" of|strong="H7592" thee|strong="H7592", and|strong="H3045" declare|strong="H3045" thou|strong="H3045" unto|strong="H3045" me|strong="H4994".
7 Cinge agora os teus lombos como homem; eu te perguntarei a ti, e tu me responderás.
8 Wilt thou even disannul|strong="H6565" my|strong="H6565" judgment|strong="H4941"? wilt thou condemn|strong="H7561" me|strong="H7561", that|strong="H4616" thou mayest be justified|strong="H6663"?
8 Farás tu vão também o meu juízo, ou me condenarás para te justificares a ti?
9 Or|strong="H2220" hast thou|strong="H3644" an|strong="H3644" arm|strong="H2220" like|strong="H3644" God? and|strong="H6963" canst thou|strong="H3644" thunder|strong="H6963" with|strong="H6963" a|strong="H3068" voice|strong="H6963" like|strong="H3644" him|strong="H6963"?
9 Ou tens braço como Deus; ou podes trovejar com uma voz como a dele?
10 Deck|strong="H5710" thyself now|strong="H4994" with|strong="H3847" excellency|strong="H1347" and|strong="H1935" dignity|strong="H1363"; and|strong="H1935" array|strong="H3847" thyself with|strong="H3847" honour|strong="H1935" and|strong="H1935" majesty|strong="H1926".
10 Orna-te, pois, de excelência e dignidade, e veste-te de glória e de esplendor.
11 Pour|strong="H6327" forth the|strong="H3605" overflowings|strong="H5678" of|strong="H3605" thine|strong="H7200" anger|strong="H5678": and|strong="H7200" look|strong="H7200" upon|strong="H7200" every|strong="H3605" one|strong="H3605" that|strong="H7200" is|strong="H3605" proud|strong="H1343", and|strong="H7200" abase|strong="H8213" him|strong="H7200".
11 Derrama as inundações da tua ira, e atenta para todo soberbo, e abate-o.
12 Look|strong="H7200" on|strong="H7200" every|strong="H3605" one|strong="H3605" that|strong="H7200" is|strong="H7563" proud|strong="H1343", and bring him|strong="H7200" low|strong="H3665"; and|strong="H7200" tread|strong="H1915" down|strong="H3665" the|strong="H3605" wicked|strong="H7563" where|strong="H8478" they|strong="H3605" stand|strong="H8478".
12 Olha para todo soberbo, e humilha-o, e calca aos pés os ímpios onde estão.
13 Hide|strong="H2934" them|strong="H6440" in|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" dust|strong="H6083" together|strong="H3162"; bind|strong="H2280" their|strong="H6440" faces|strong="H6440" in|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" hidden|strong="H2934" place.
13 Esconde-os juntamente no pó; ata-lhes os rostos no lugar escondido.
14 Then|strong="H1571" wilt I|strong="H3588" also|strong="H1571" confess|strong="H3034" of|strong="H3225" thee that|strong="H3588" thine own right|strong="H3225" hand|strong="H3225" can|strong="H3225" save|strong="H3467" thee.
14 Então também eu de ti confessarei que a tua mão direita te poderá salvar.
15 Behold|strong="H2009" now|strong="H4994" behemoth, which|strong="H2682" I|strong="H2009" made|strong="H6213" with|strong="H5973" thee|strong="H6213"; he|strong="H6213" eateth grass|strong="H2682" as|strong="H6213" all|strong="H6213" ox|strong="H1241".
15 Contempla agora o hipopótamo, que eu criei como a ti, que come a erva como o boi.
16 Lo|strong="H2009" now|strong="H4994", his|strong="H2009" strength|strong="H3581" is|strong="H2009" in|strong="H4994" his|strong="H2009" loins|strong="H4975", and|strong="H4975" his|strong="H2009" force|strong="H3581" is|strong="H2009" in|strong="H4994" the|strong="H2009" muscles|strong="H8306" of|strong="H3581" his|strong="H2009" belly.
16 Eis que a sua força está nos seus lombos, e o seu poder nos músculos do seu ventre.
17 He|strong="H2654" moveth|strong="H2654" his|strong="H2654" tail|strong="H2180" like|strong="H3644" a|strong="H3068" cedar: the|strong="H3644" sinews|strong="H1517" of|strong="H3644" his|strong="H2654" thighs|strong="H6344" are|strong="H6344" knit|strong="H8276" together|strong="H8276".
17 Ele enrija a sua cauda como o cedro; os nervos das suas coxas são entretecidos.
18 His bones|strong="H6106" are|strong="H6106" as|strong="H1270" tubes of|strong="H6106" brass|strong="H5154"; his limbs|strong="H1634" are|strong="H6106" like bars|strong="H4300" of|strong="H6106" iron|strong="H1270".
18 Os seus ossos são como tubos de bronze, as suas costelas como barras de ferro.
19 He|strong="H1931" is|strong="H1931" the|strong="H6213" chief|strong="H7225" of|strong="H1870" the|strong="H6213" ways|strong="H1870" of|strong="H1870" God: he|strong="H1931" only that|strong="H1931" made|strong="H6213" him|strong="H6213" can|strong="H6213" make|strong="H6213" his|strong="H6213" sword|strong="H2719" to|strong="H6213" approach|strong="H5066" unto him.
19 Ele é obra prima dos caminhos de Deus; aquele que o fez o proveu da sua espada.
20 Surely|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3605" mountains|strong="H2022" bring|strong="H5375" him|strong="H3605" forth|strong="H5375" food; where|strong="H8033" all|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" beasts|strong="H2416" of|strong="H2022" the|strong="H3605" field|strong="H7704" do|strong="H3605" play|strong="H7832".
20 Em verdade os montes lhe produzem pasto, onde todos os animais do campo folgam.
21 He|strong="H8478" lieth|strong="H7901" under|strong="H8478" the|strong="H8478" lotus|strong="H6628" trees|strong="H6628", in|strong="H7901" the|strong="H8478" covert|strong="H5643" of|strong="H8478" the|strong="H8478" reed|strong="H7070", and|strong="H7901" the|strong="H8478" fen.
21 Deita-se debaixo dos lotos, no esconderijo dos canaviais e no pântano.

22 Os lotos cobrem-no com sua sombra; os salgueiros do ribeiro o cercam.
23 Behold|strong="H2005", if|strong="H3588" a|strong="H3068" river|strong="H5104" overflow, he|strong="H3588" trembleth not|strong="H3808": he|strong="H3588" is|strong="H6310" confident, though|strong="H3588" Jordan|strong="H3383" swell even|strong="H3588" to|strong="H6310" his|strong="H3588" mouth|strong="H6310".
23 Eis que se um rio trasborda, ele não treme; sente-se seguro ainda que o Jordão se levante até a sua boca.
24 Shall|strong="H5869" any|strong="H3947" take|strong="H3947" him|strong="H3947" when he|strong="H3947" is|strong="H5869" on|strong="H5869" the|strong="H3947" watch|strong="H5869", or pierce|strong="H5344" through|strong="H5344" his|strong="H3947" nose with|strong="H3947" a|strong="H3068" snare|strong="H4170"?
24 Poderá alguém apanhá-lo quando ele estiver de vigia, ou com laços lhe furar o nariz?
