1 Clama em alta voz, não te detenhas, levanta a tua voz como a trombeta e anuncia ao meu povo a sua transgressão, e à casa de Jacó os seus pecados.

2 Todavia me procuram cada dia, tomam prazer em saber os meus caminhos; como se fossem um povo que praticasse a justiça e não tivesse abandonado a ordenança do seu Deus, pedem-me juízos retos, têm prazer em se chegar a Deus!,
3 Wherefore|strong="H4100" have|strong="H3045" we|strong="H3068" fasted|strong="H6684", say they, and|strong="H3117" thou|strong="H3045" seest|strong="H7200" not|strong="H3808"? wherefore have|strong="H3045" we|strong="H3068" afflicted|strong="H6031" our|strong="H3605" soul|strong="H5315", and|strong="H3117" thou|strong="H3045" takest no|strong="H3808" knowledge|strong="H3045"? 3 Por que temos nós jejuado, dizem eles, e tu não atentas para isso? por que temos afligido as nossas almas, e tu não o sabes? Eis que no dia em que jejuais, prosseguis nas vossas empresas, e exigis que se façam todos os vossos trabalhos.

4 Eis que para contendas e rixas jejuais, e para ferirdes com punho iníquo! Jejuando vós assim como hoje, a vossa voz não se fará ouvir no alto.
5 Is|strong="H3068" such|strong="H2088" the|strong="H3068" fast|strong="H6685" that|strong="H3117" I|strong="H3117" have|strong="H1961" chosen? the|strong="H3068" day|strong="H3117" for|strong="H7121" a|strong="H3068" man|strong="H5315" to|strong="H3068" afflict|strong="H6031" his|strong="H3068" soul|strong="H5315"? 5 Seria esse o jejum que eu escolhi? o dia em que o homem aflija a sua alma? Consiste porventura, em inclinar o homem a cabeça como junco e em estender debaixo de si saco e cinza? chamarias tu a isso jejum e dia aceitável ao Senhor?

6 Acaso não é este o jejum que escolhi? que soltes as ligaduras da impiedade, que desfaças as ataduras do jugo? e que deixes ir livres os oprimidos, e despedaces todo jugo?

7 Porventura não é também que repartas o teu pão com o faminto, e recolhas em casa os pobres desamparados? que vendo o nu, o cubras, e não te escondas da tua carne?

8 Então romperá a tua luz como a alva, e a tua cura apressadamente brotará. e a tua justiça irá adiante de ti; e a glória do Senhor será a tua retaguarda.
9 Then|strong="H6030" shalt thou|strong="H1696" call|strong="H7121", and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H8432" LORD|strong="H3068" shall|strong="H3068" answer|strong="H6030"; thou|strong="H1696" shalt cry|strong="H7121", and|strong="H3068" he|strong="H3068" shall|strong="H3068" say|strong="H1696", Here|strong="H2005" I|strong="H2005" am|strong="H3068". If|strong="H2005" thou|strong="H1696" take|strong="H5493" away|strong="H5493" from|strong="H5493" the|strong="H8432" midst|strong="H8432" of|strong="H3068" thee|strong="H7971" the|strong="H8432" yoke|strong="H4133", the|strong="H8432" putting|strong="H7971" forth|strong="H7971" of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H8432" finger, and|strong="H3068" speaking|strong="H1696" wickedly;
9 Então clamarás, e o Senhor te responderá; gritarás, e ele dirá: Eis-me aqui. Se tirares do meio de ti o jugo, o estender do dedo, e o falar iniquamente;
10 and|strong="H5315" if thou draw out|strong="H6329" thy|strong="H7646" soul|strong="H5315" to|strong="H5315" the|strong="H7646" hungry|strong="H7457", and|strong="H5315" satisfy|strong="H7646" the|strong="H7646" afflicted|strong="H6031" soul|strong="H5315"; then shall|strong="H5315" thy|strong="H7646" light rise|strong="H2224" in|strong="H5315" darkness|strong="H2822", and|strong="H5315" thine|strong="H6031" obscurity|strong="H2822" be|strong="H5315" as|strong="H5315" the|strong="H7646" noonday|strong="H6672":
10 e se abrires a tua alma ao faminto, e fartares o aflito; então a tua luz nascerá nas trevas, e a tua escuridão será como o meio dia.
11 and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068" shall|strong="H3068" guide|strong="H5148" thee|strong="H5148" continually|strong="H8548", and|strong="H3068" satisfy|strong="H7646" thy|strong="H3068" soul|strong="H5315" in|strong="H3068" dry places|strong="H4161", and|strong="H3068" make strong thy|strong="H3068" bones|strong="H6106"; and|strong="H3068" thou|strong="H1961" shalt be|strong="H1961" like|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" watered|strong="H7302" garden|strong="H1588", and|strong="H3068" like|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" spring|strong="H4161" of|strong="H3068" water|strong="H4325", whose waters|strong="H4325" fail|strong="H3576" not|strong="H3808".
11 O Senhor te guiará continuamente, e te fartará até em lugares áridos, e fortificará os teus ossos; serás como um jardim regado, e como um manancial, cujas águas nunca falham.

12 E os que de ti procederem edificarão as ruínas antigas; e tu levantarás os fundamentos de muitas gerações; e serás chamado reparador da brecha, e restaurador de veredas para morar.
13 If thou|strong="H6213" turn|strong="H7725" away|strong="H7725" thy|strong="H3068" foot|strong="H7272" from|strong="H7725" the|strong="H6213" sabbath|strong="H7676", from|strong="H7725" doing|strong="H6213" thy|strong="H3068" pleasure|strong="H2656" on|strong="H3117" my|strong="H3068" holy|strong="H6944" day|strong="H3117"; and|strong="H3068" call|strong="H7121" the|strong="H6213" sabbath|strong="H7676" a|strong="H3068" delight|strong="H2656", and the|strong="H6213" holy|strong="H6944" of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H6213" LORD|strong="H3068" honourable|strong="H3513"; and|strong="H3068" shalt honour|strong="H3513" it|strong="H7121", not|strong="H6213" doing|strong="H6213" thine|strong="H7725" own ways|strong="H1870", nor|strong="H3117" finding|strong="H4672" thine|strong="H7725" own pleasure|strong="H2656", nor|strong="H3117" speaking|strong="H1696" thine own words|strong="H1697":
13 Se desviares do sábado o teu pé, e deixares de prosseguir nas tuas empresas no meu santo dia; se ao sábado chamares deleitoso, ao santo dia do Senhor, digno de honra; se o honrares, não seguindo os teus caminhos, nem te ocupando nas tuas empresas, nem falando palavras vãs;
14 then|strong="H1696" shalt thou|strong="H3588" delight|strong="H6026" thyself in|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" LORD|strong="H3068"; and|strong="H3068" I|strong="H3588" will|strong="H3068" make|strong="H3588" thee|strong="H1696" to|strong="H1696" ride|strong="H7392" upon|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" high|strong="H1116" places|strong="H1116" of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5921" earth; and|strong="H3068" I|strong="H3588" will|strong="H3068" feed thee|strong="H1696" with|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5921" heritage|strong="H5159" of|strong="H3068" Jacob|strong="H3290" thy|strong="H3068" father: for|strong="H3588" the|strong="H5921" mouth|strong="H6310" of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5921" LORD|strong="H3068" hath|strong="H3068" spoken|strong="H1696" it|strong="H5921".
14 então te deleitarás no Senhor, e eu te farei cavalgar sobre as alturas da terra, e te sustentarei com a herança de teu pai Jacó; porque a boca do Senhor o disse.
