1 Ask|strong="H7592" ye of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* rain|strong="H4306" in the time|strong="H6256" of the latter rain|strong="H4456"; so the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall make|strong="H6213" bright clouds|strong="H2385", and give|strong="H5414" them showers|strong="H1653" of rain|strong="H4306", to every one|strong="H0376" grass|strong="H6212" in the field|strong="H7704".
2 For the idols|strong="H8655" have spoken|strong="H1696" vanity|strong="H0205", and the diviners|strong="H7080" have seen|strong="H2372" a lie|strong="H8267", and have told|strong="H1696" false|strong="H7723" dreams|strong="H2472"; they comfort|strong="H5162" in vain|strong="H1892": therefore they went|strong="H5265" their way as a flock|strong="H6629", they were troubled|strong="H6031", because there was no shepherd|strong="H7462".
3 Mine anger|strong="H0639" was kindled|strong="H2734" against the shepherds|strong="H7462", and I punished|strong="H6485" the goats|strong="H6260": for the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635" hath visited|strong="H6485" his flock|strong="H5739" the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063", and hath made|strong="H7760" them as his goodly|strong="H1935" horse|strong="H5483" in the battle|strong="H4421".
4 Out of him came forth|strong="H3318" the corner|strong="H6438", out of him the nail|strong="H3489", out of him the battle|strong="H4421" bow|strong="H7198", out of him every oppressor|strong="H5065" together|strong="H3162".
5 And they shall be as mighty|strong="H1368" men, which tread down|strong="H0947" their enemies in the mire|strong="H2916" of the streets|strong="H2351" in the battle|strong="H4421": and they shall fight|strong="H3898", because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is with them, and the riders|strong="H7392" on horses|strong="H5483" shall be confounded|strong="H3001".
6 And I will strengthen|strong="H1396" the house|strong="H1004" of Judah|strong="H3063", and I will save|strong="H3467" the house|strong="H1004" of Joseph|strong="H3130", and I will bring them again to place|strong="H3427" them; for I have mercy|strong="H7355" upon them: and they shall be as though|strong="H0834" I had not cast them off|strong="H2186": for I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* their God|strong="H0430", and will hear|strong="H6030" them.
7 And they of Ephraim|strong="H0669" shall be like a mighty|strong="H1368" man, and their heart|strong="H3820" shall rejoice|strong="H8055" as through wine|strong="H3196": yea, their children|strong="H1121" shall see|strong="H7200" it, and be glad|strong="H8055"; their heart|strong="H3820" shall rejoice|strong="H1523" in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
8 I will hiss|strong="H8319" for them, and gather|strong="H6908" them; for I have redeemed|strong="H6299" them: and they shall increase|strong="H7235" as they have increased|strong="H7235".
9 And I will sow|strong="H2232" them among the people|strong="H5971": and they shall remember|strong="H2142" me in far countries|strong="H4801"; and they shall live|strong="H2421" with their children|strong="H1121", and turn again|strong="H7725".
10 I will bring them again|strong="H7725" also out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714", and gather|strong="H6908" them out of Assyria|strong="H0804"; and I will bring|strong="H0935" them into the land|strong="H0776" of Gilead|strong="H1568" and Lebanon|strong="H3844"; and place shall not be found|strong="H4672" for them.
11 And he shall pass through|strong="H5674" the sea|strong="H3220" with affliction|strong="H6869", and shall smite|strong="H5221" the waves|strong="H1530" in the sea|strong="H3220", and all the deeps|strong="H4688" of the river|strong="H2975" shall dry up|strong="H3001": and the pride|strong="H1347" of Assyria|strong="H0804" shall be brought down|strong="H3381", and the sceptre|strong="H7626" of Egypt|strong="H4714" shall depart away|strong="H5493".
12 And I will strengthen|strong="H1396" them in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and they shall walk up and down|strong="H1980" in his name|strong="H8034", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
