2 My|strong="G3450" brethren|strong="G0080", count it|strong="G2233" all|strong="G3956" joy|strong="G5479" when|strong="G3752" ye fall into|strong="G4045" divers|strong="G4164" temptations|strong="G3986";
3 Knowing|strong="G1097" this, that|strong="G3754" the trying|strong="G1383" of your|strong="G5216" faith|strong="G4102" worketh|strong="G2716" patience|strong="G5281".
4 But|strong="G1161" let patience|strong="G5281" have|strong="G2192" her perfect|strong="G5046" work|strong="G2041", that|strong="G2443" ye may be|strong="G5600" perfect|strong="G5046" and|strong="G2532" entire|strong="G3648", wanting|strong="G3007" nothing|strong="G3367".
5 If|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" of you|strong="G5216" lack|strong="G3007" wisdom|strong="G4678", let him ask|strong="G0154" of|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316", that giveth|strong="G1325" to all|strong="G3956" men liberally|strong="G0574", and|strong="G2532" upbraideth|strong="G3679" not|strong="G3361"; and|strong="G2532" it shall be given|strong="G1325" him|strong="G0846".
6 But|strong="G1161" let him ask|strong="G0154" in|strong="G1722" faith|strong="G4102", nothing|strong="G3367" wavering|strong="G1252". For|strong="G1063" he that wavereth|strong="G1252" is like|strong="G1503" a wave|strong="G2830" of the sea|strong="G2281" driven with the wind|strong="G0416" and|strong="G2532" tossed|strong="G4494".
7 For|strong="G1063" let not|strong="G3361" that|strong="G1565" man|strong="G0444" think|strong="G3633" that|strong="G3754" he shall receive|strong="G2983" any thing|strong="G5100" of|strong="G3844" the Lord|strong="G2962".
8 A double minded|strong="G1374" man|strong="G0435" is unstable|strong="G0182" in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" his|strong="G0846" ways|strong="G3598".
9 Let|strong="G1161" the brother|strong="G0080" of low degree|strong="G5011" rejoice|strong="G2744" in|strong="G1722" that he|strong="G0846" is exalted|strong="G5311":
10 But|strong="G1161" the rich|strong="G4145", in|strong="G1722" that he|strong="G0846" is made low|strong="G5014": because|strong="G3754" as|strong="G5613" the flower|strong="G0438" of the grass|strong="G5528" he shall pass away|strong="G3928".
11 For|strong="G1063" the sun|strong="G2246" is no sooner risen|strong="G0393" with|strong="G4862" a burning heat|strong="G2742", but|strong="G2532" it withereth|strong="G3583" the grass|strong="G5528", and|strong="G2532" the flower|strong="G0438" thereof|strong="G0846" falleth|strong="G1601", and|strong="G2532" the grace|strong="G2143" of the fashion|strong="G4383" of it|strong="G0846" perisheth|strong="G0622": so|strong="G3779" also|strong="G2532" shall|strong="G3133" the rich man|strong="G4145" fade away|strong="G3133" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" ways|strong="G4197".
12 Blessed|strong="G3107" is the man|strong="G0435" that|strong="G3739" endureth|strong="G5278" temptation|strong="G3986": for|strong="G3754" when he is|strong="G1096" tried|strong="G1384", he shall receive|strong="G2983" the crown|strong="G4735" of life|strong="G2222", which|strong="G3739" the Lord|strong="G2962" hath promised|strong="G1861" to them|strong="G3588" that love|strong="G0025" him|strong="G0846".
13 Let no man|strong="G3367" say|strong="G3004" when|strong="G3754" he is tempted|strong="G3985", I am tempted|strong="G3985" of|strong="G0575" God|strong="G2316": for|strong="G1063" God|strong="G2316" cannot be tempted|strong="G0551" with evil|strong="G2556", neither|strong="G1161" tempteth|strong="G3985" he|strong="G0846" any man|strong="G3762":
14 But|strong="G1161" every man|strong="G1538" is tempted|strong="G3985", when he is drawn away|strong="G1828" of|strong="G5259" his own|strong="G2398" lust|strong="G1939", and|strong="G2532" enticed|strong="G1185".
15 Then when|strong="G1534" lust|strong="G1939" hath conceived|strong="G4815", it bringeth forth|strong="G5088" sin|strong="G0266": and|strong="G1161" sin|strong="G0266", when it is finished|strong="G0658", bringeth forth|strong="G0616" death|strong="G2288".

17 Every|strong="G3956" good|strong="G0018" gift|strong="G1394" and|strong="G2532" every|strong="G3956" perfect|strong="G5046" gift|strong="G1434" is|strong="G2076" from above|strong="G0509", and cometh down|strong="G2597" from|strong="G0575" the Father|strong="G3962" of lights|strong="G5457", with|strong="G3844" whom|strong="G3739" is|strong="G1762" no|strong="G3756" variableness|strong="G3883", neither|strong="G2228" shadow|strong="G0644" of turning|strong="G5157".
18 Of his own will|strong="G1014" begat he|strong="G0616" us|strong="G2248" with the word|strong="G3056" of truth|strong="G0225", that we|strong="G2248" should be|strong="G1511" a kind|strong="G5100" of firstfruits|strong="G0536" of his|strong="G0846" creatures|strong="G2938".
19 Wherefore|strong="G5620", my|strong="G3450" beloved|strong="G0027" brethren|strong="G0080", let every|strong="G3956" man|strong="G0444" be|strong="G2077" swift|strong="G5036" to|strong="G1519" hear|strong="G0191", slow|strong="G1021" to|strong="G1519" speak|strong="G2980", slow|strong="G1021" to|strong="G1519" wrath|strong="G3709":
20 For|strong="G1063" the wrath|strong="G3709" of man|strong="G0435" worketh|strong="G2716" not|strong="G3756" the righteousness|strong="G1343" of God|strong="G2316".
21 Wherefore|strong="G1352" lay apart|strong="G0659" all|strong="G3956" filthiness|strong="G4507" and|strong="G2532" superfluity|strong="G4050" of naughtiness|strong="G2549", and receive|strong="G1209" with|strong="G1722" meekness|strong="G4240" the engrafted|strong="G1721" word|strong="G3056", which|strong="G3588" is able|strong="G1410" to save|strong="G4982" your|strong="G5216" souls|strong="G5590".
22 But|strong="G1161" be|strong="G1096" ye doers|strong="G4163" of the word|strong="G3056", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" hearers|strong="G0202" only|strong="G3440", deceiving|strong="G3884" your own selves|strong="G1438".
23 For|strong="G3754" if|strong="G1487" any|strong="G5100" be a hearer|strong="G0202" of the word|strong="G3056", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" a doer|strong="G4163", he|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" like unto|strong="G1503" a man|strong="G0435" beholding|strong="G2657" his|strong="G0846" natural|strong="G1078" face|strong="G4383" in|strong="G1722" a glass|strong="G2072":
24 For|strong="G1063" he beholdeth|strong="G2657" himself|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" goeth his way|strong="G0565", and|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" forgetteth|strong="G1950" what manner of man|strong="G3697" he was|strong="G2258".
25 But|strong="G1161" whoso looketh|strong="G3879" into|strong="G1519" the perfect|strong="G5046" law|strong="G3551" of liberty|strong="G1657", and|strong="G2532" continueth|strong="G3887" therein, he|strong="G3778" being|strong="G1096" not|strong="G3756" a forgetful|strong="G1953" hearer|strong="G0202", but|strong="G0235" a doer|strong="G4163" of the work|strong="G2041", this man|strong="G3778" shall be|strong="G2071" blessed|strong="G3107" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" deed|strong="G4162".
26 If|strong="G1487" any man|strong="G5100" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213" seem|strong="G1380" to be|strong="G1511" religious|strong="G2357", and bridleth|strong="G5468" not|strong="G3361" his|strong="G0846" tongue|strong="G1100", but|strong="G0235" deceiveth|strong="G0538" his own|strong="G0846" heart|strong="G2588", this man’s|strong="G5127" religion|strong="G2356" is vain|strong="G3152".
27 Pure|strong="G2513" religion|strong="G2356" and|strong="G2532" undefiled|strong="G0283" before|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316" and|strong="G2532" the Father|strong="G3962" is|strong="G2076" this|strong="G3778", To visit|strong="G1980" the fatherless|strong="G3737" and|strong="G2532" widows|strong="G5503" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" affliction|strong="G2347", and to keep|strong="G5083" himself|strong="G1438" unspotted|strong="G0784" from|strong="G0575" the world|strong="G2889".
