1 Bendiga ao Senhor a minha alma! Ó Senhor, meu Deus, tu és tão grandioso! Estás vestido de majestade e esplendor!
2 Who coverest|strong="H5844" thyself with light|strong="H0216" as with a garment|strong="H8008": who stretchest out|strong="H5186" the heavens|strong="H8064" like a curtain|strong="H3407":
2 Envolto de luz como numa veste, ele estende os céus como uma tenda,
3 Who layeth the beams|strong="H7136" of his chambers|strong="H5944" in the waters|strong="H4325": who maketh|strong="H7760" the clouds|strong="H5645" his chariot|strong="H7398": who walketh|strong="H1980" upon the wings|strong="H3671" of the wind|strong="H7307":
3 e põe sobre as águas dos céus as vigas dos seus aposentos. Faz das nuvens a sua carruagem e cavalga nas asas do vento.
4 Who maketh|strong="H6213" his angels|strong="H4397" spirits|strong="H7307"; his ministers|strong="H8334" a flaming|strong="H3857" fire|strong="H0784":
4 Faz dos ventos seus mensageiros e dos clarões reluzentes seus servos.
5 Who laid|strong="H3245" the foundations|strong="H4349" of the earth|strong="H0776", that it should not be removed|strong="H4131" for ever|strong="H5769".
5 Ele firmou a terra sobre os seus fundamentos para que jamais se abale;
6 Thou coveredst|strong="H3680" it with the deep|strong="H8415" as with a garment|strong="H3830": the waters|strong="H4325" stood|strong="H5975" above the mountains|strong="H2022".
6 com as torrentes do abismo a cobriste, como se fossem uma veste; as águas subiram acima dos montes.
7 At|strong="H4480" thy rebuke|strong="H1606" they fled|strong="H5127"; at the voice|strong="H6963" of thy thunder|strong="H7482" they hasted|strong="H2648" away.
7 Diante das tuas ameaças as águas fugiram, puseram-se em fuga ao som do teu trovão;
8 They go up|strong="H5927" by the mountains|strong="H2022"; they go down|strong="H3381" by the valleys|strong="H1237" unto the place|strong="H4725" which|strong="H2088" thou hast founded|strong="H3245" for them.
8 subiram pelos montes e escorreram pelos vales, para os lugares que tu lhes designaste.
9 Thou hast set|strong="H7760" a bound|strong="H1366" that they may not pass over|strong="H5674"; that they turn not again|strong="H7725" to cover|strong="H3680" the earth|strong="H0776".
9 Estabeleceste um limite que não podem ultrapassar; jamais tornarão a cobrir a terra.
10 He sendeth|strong="H7971" the springs|strong="H4599" into the valleys|strong="H5158", which run|strong="H1980" among the hills|strong="H2022".
10 Fazes jorrar as nascentes nos vales e correrem as águas entre os montes;
11 They give drink|strong="H8248" to every beast|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704": the wild asses|strong="H6501" quench|strong="H7665" their thirst|strong="H6772".
11 delas bebem todos os animais selvagens, e os jumentos selvagens saciam a sua sede.
12 By them shall the fowls|strong="H5775" of the heaven|strong="H8064" have their habitation|strong="H7931", which sing|strong="H5414" among|strong="H0996" the branches|strong="H6073".
12 As aves do céu fazem ninho junto às águas e entre os galhos põem-se a cantar.
13 He watereth|strong="H8248" the hills|strong="H2022" from his chambers|strong="H5944": the earth|strong="H0776" is satisfied|strong="H7646" with the fruit|strong="H6529" of thy works|strong="H4639".
13 Dos seus aposentos celestes ele rega os montes; sacia-se a terra com o fruto das tuas obras!
14 He causeth the grass|strong="H2682" to grow|strong="H6779" for the cattle|strong="H0929", and herb|strong="H6212" for the service|strong="H5656" of man|strong="H0120": that he may bring forth|strong="H3318" food|strong="H3899" out of the earth|strong="H0776";
14 É ele que faz crescer o pasto para o gado, e as plantas que o homem cultiva, para da terra tirar o alimento:
15 And wine|strong="H3196" that maketh glad|strong="H8055" the heart|strong="H3824" of man|strong="H0582", and oil|strong="H8081" to make his face|strong="H6440" to shine|strong="H6670", and bread|strong="H3899" which strengtheneth|strong="H5582" man’s|strong="H0582" heart|strong="H3824".
15 o vinho, que alegra o coração do homem; o azeite, que faz brilhar o rosto, e o pão que sustenta o seu vigor.
16 The trees|strong="H6086" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* are full|strong="H7646" of sap; the cedars|strong="H0730" of Lebanon|strong="H3844", which he hath planted|strong="H5193";
16 As árvores do Senhor são bem regadas, os cedros do Líbano que ele plantou;
17 Where the birds|strong="H6833" make their nests|strong="H7077": as for the stork|strong="H2624", the fir trees|strong="H1265" are her house|strong="H1004".
17 nelas os pássaros fazem ninho, e nos pinheiros a cegonha tem o seu lar.
18 The high|strong="H1364" hills|strong="H2022" are a refuge|strong="H4268" for the wild goats|strong="H3277"; and the rocks|strong="H5553" for the conies|strong="H8227".
18 Os montes elevados pertencem aos bodes selvagens, e os penhascos são um refúgio para os coelhos.
19 He appointed|strong="H6213" the moon|strong="H3394" for seasons|strong="H4150": the sun|strong="H8121" knoweth|strong="H3045" his going down|strong="H3996".
19 Ele fez a lua para marcar estações; o sol sabe quando deve se pôr.
20 Thou makest|strong="H7896" darkness|strong="H2822", and it is night|strong="H3915": wherein all the beasts|strong="H2416" of the forest|strong="H3293" do creep|strong="H7430" forth.
20 Trazes trevas, e cai a noite, quando os animais da floresta vagueiam.
21 The young lions|strong="H3715" roar|strong="H7580" after their prey|strong="H2964", and seek|strong="H1245" their meat|strong="H0400" from God|strong="H0410".
21 Os leões rugem à procura da presa, buscando de Deus o alimento,
22 The sun|strong="H8121" ariseth|strong="H2224", they gather themselves together|strong="H0622", and lay them down|strong="H7257" in their dens|strong="H4585".
22 mas ao nascer do sol eles se vão e voltam a deitar-se em suas tocas.
23 Man|strong="H0120" goeth forth|strong="H3318" unto his work|strong="H6467" and to his labour|strong="H5656" until the evening|strong="H6153".
23 Então o homem sai para o seu trabalho, para o seu labor até o entardecer.
24 O \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, how manifold|strong="H7231" are thy works|strong="H4639"! in wisdom|strong="H2451" hast thou made|strong="H6213" them all: the earth|strong="H0776" is full|strong="H4390" of thy riches|strong="H7075".
24 Quantas são as tuas obras, Senhor! Fizeste todas elas com sabedoria! A terra está cheia de seres que criaste.
25 So is this great|strong="H1419" and wide|strong="H7342" sea|strong="H3220", wherein are things creeping|strong="H7431" innumerable|strong="H4557", both small|strong="H6996" and great|strong="H1419" beasts|strong="H2416".
25 Eis o mar, imenso e vasto. Nele vivem inúmeras criaturas, seres vivos, pequenos e grandes.
26 There go|strong="H1980" the ships|strong="H0591": there is that leviathan|strong="H3882", whom thou hast made|strong="H3335" to play|strong="H7832" therein.
26 Nele passam os navios, e também o Leviatã, que formaste para com ele brincar.
27 These wait|strong="H7663" all upon thee; that thou mayest give|strong="H5414" them their meat|strong="H0400" in due season|strong="H6256".
27 Todos eles esperam em ti para que lhes dês o alimento no tempo certo;
28 That thou givest|strong="H5414" them they gather|strong="H3950": thou openest|strong="H6605" thine hand|strong="H3027", they are filled|strong="H7646" with good|strong="H2896".
28 tu lhes dás, e eles o recolhem, abres a tua mão, e saciam-se de coisas boas.
29 Thou hidest|strong="H5641" thy face|strong="H6440", they are troubled|strong="H0926": thou takest away|strong="H0622" their breath|strong="H7307", they die|strong="H1478", and return|strong="H7725" to their dust|strong="H6083".
29 Quando escondes o rosto, entram em pânico; quando lhes retiras o fôlego, morrem e voltam ao pó.
30 Thou sendest|strong="H7971" forth thy spirit|strong="H7307", they are created|strong="H1254": and thou renewest|strong="H2318" the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0127".
30 Quando sopras o teu fôlego, eles são criados, e renovas a face da terra.
31 The glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall endure for ever|strong="H5769": the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* shall rejoice|strong="H8055" in his works|strong="H4639".
31 Perdure para sempre a glória do Senhor! Alegre-se o Senhor em seus feitos!
32 He looketh|strong="H5027" on the earth|strong="H0776", and it trembleth|strong="H7460": he toucheth|strong="H5060" the hills|strong="H2022", and they smoke|strong="H6225".
32 Ele olha para a terra, e ela treme, toca os montes, e eles fumegam.
33 I will sing|strong="H7891" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* as long as I live|strong="H2416": I will sing|strong="H2167" praise to my God|strong="H0430" while I have my being|strong="H5750".
33 Cantarei ao Senhor toda a minha vida; louvarei ao meu Deus enquanto eu viver.
34 My meditation|strong="H7879" of him shall be sweet|strong="H6149": I will be glad|strong="H8055" in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
34 Seja-lhe agradável a minha meditação, pois no Senhor tenho alegria.
