Provérbios 16

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

The preparations|strong="H4633" of the heart|strong="H3820" in man|strong="H0120", and the answer|strong="H4617" of the tongue|strong="H3956", is from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

All the ways|strong="H1870" of a man|strong="H0376" are clean|strong="H2134" in his own eyes|strong="H5869"; but the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* weigheth|strong="H8505" the spirits|strong="H7307".

Commit|strong="H1556" thy works|strong="H4639" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and thy thoughts|strong="H4284" shall be established|strong="H3559".

The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath made|strong="H6466" all things for himself|strong="H4617": yea, even the wicked|strong="H7563" for the day|strong="H3117" of evil|strong="H7451".

Every one that is proud|strong="H1362" in heart|strong="H3820" is an abomination|strong="H8441" to the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: though hand|strong="H3027" join in hand|strong="H3027", he shall not be unpunished|strong="H5352".

By mercy|strong="H2617" and truth|strong="H0571" iniquity|strong="H5771" is purged|strong="H3722": and by the fear|strong="H3374" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* men depart|strong="H5493" from evil|strong="H7451".

When a man’s|strong="H0376" ways|strong="H1870" please|strong="H7521" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, he maketh even his enemies|strong="H0341" to be at peace|strong="H7999" with him.

Better|strong="H2896" is a little|strong="H4592" with righteousness|strong="H6666" than great|strong="H7230" revenues|strong="H8393" without right|strong="H4941".

A man’s|strong="H0120" heart|strong="H3820" deviseth|strong="H2803" his way|strong="H1870": but the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* directeth|strong="H3559" his steps|strong="H6806".

A divine sentence|strong="H7081" is in the lips|strong="H8193" of the king|strong="H4428": his mouth|strong="H6310" transgresseth|strong="H4603" not in judgment|strong="H4941".

A just|strong="H4941" weight|strong="H6425" and balance|strong="H3976" are the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w*: all the weights|strong="H0068" of the bag|strong="H3599" are his work|strong="H4639".

It is an abomination|strong="H8441" to kings|strong="H4428" to commit|strong="H6213" wickedness|strong="H7562": for the throne|strong="H3678" is established|strong="H3559" by righteousness|strong="H6666".

Righteous|strong="H6664" lips|strong="H8193" are the delight|strong="H7522" of kings|strong="H4428"; and they love|strong="H0157" him that speaketh|strong="H1696" right|strong="H3477".

The wrath|strong="H2534" of a king|strong="H4428" is as messengers|strong="H4397" of death|strong="H4194": but a wise|strong="H2450" man|strong="H0376" will pacify|strong="H3722" it.

In the light|strong="H0216" of the king’s|strong="H4428" countenance|strong="H6440" is life|strong="H2416"; and his favour|strong="H7522" is as a cloud|strong="H5645" of the latter rain|strong="H4456".

How much better|strong="H2896" is it to get|strong="H7069" wisdom|strong="H2451" than gold|strong="H2742"! and to get|strong="H7069" understanding|strong="H0998" rather to be chosen|strong="H0977" than silver|strong="H3701"!

The highway|strong="H4546" of the upright|strong="H3477" is to depart|strong="H5493" from evil|strong="H7451": he that keepeth|strong="H5341" his way|strong="H1870" preserveth|strong="H8104" his soul|strong="H5315".

Pride|strong="H1347" goeth before|strong="H6440" destruction|strong="H7667", and an haughty|strong="H1363" spirit|strong="H7307" before|strong="H6440" a fall|strong="H3783".

Better|strong="H2896" it is to be of an humble|strong="H8217" spirit|strong="H7307" with the lowly|strong="H6035", than to divide|strong="H2505" the spoil|strong="H7998" with the proud|strong="H1343".

He that handleth a matter|strong="H1697" wisely|strong="H7919" shall find|strong="H4672" good|strong="H2896": and whoso trusteth|strong="H0982" in the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, happy|strong="H0835" is he.

The wise|strong="H2450" in heart|strong="H3820" shall be called|strong="H7121" prudent|strong="H0995": and the sweetness|strong="H4986" of the lips|strong="H8193" increaseth|strong="H3254" learning|strong="H3948".

Understanding|strong="H7922" is a wellspring|strong="H4726" of life|strong="H2416" unto him that hath|strong="H1167" it: but the instruction|strong="H4148" of fools|strong="H0191" is folly|strong="H0200".

The heart|strong="H3820" of the wise|strong="H2450" teacheth|strong="H7919" his mouth|strong="H6310", and addeth|strong="H3254" learning|strong="H3948" to his lips|strong="H8193".

Pleasant|strong="H5278" words|strong="H0561" are as an honeycomb|strong="H6688", sweet|strong="H4966" to the soul|strong="H5315", and health|strong="H4832" to the bones|strong="H6106".

There is|strong="H3426" a way|strong="H1870" that seemeth right|strong="H3477" unto|strong="H6440" a man|strong="H0376", but the end|strong="H0319" thereof are the ways|strong="H1870" of death|strong="H4194".

He|strong="H5315" that laboureth|strong="H6001" laboureth|strong="H5998" for himself; for his mouth|strong="H6310" craveth|strong="H0404" it of him.

An ungodly|strong="H1100" man|strong="H0376" diggeth up|strong="H3738" evil|strong="H7451": and in his lips|strong="H8193" there is as a burning|strong="H6867" fire|strong="H0784".

A froward|strong="H8419" man|strong="H0376" soweth|strong="H7971" strife|strong="H4066": and a whisperer|strong="H5372" separateth|strong="H6504" chief friends|strong="H0441".

A violent|strong="H2555" man|strong="H0376" enticeth|strong="H6601" his neighbour|strong="H7453", and leadeth|strong="H3212" him into the way|strong="H1870" that is not good|strong="H2896".

He shutteth|strong="H6095" his eyes|strong="H5869" to devise|strong="H2803" froward things|strong="H8419": moving|strong="H7169" his lips|strong="H8193" he bringeth|strong="H3615" evil|strong="H7451" to pass|strong="H3615".

The hoary head|strong="H7872" is a crown|strong="H5850" of glory|strong="H8597", if it be found|strong="H4672" in the way|strong="H1870" of righteousness|strong="H6666".

He that is slow|strong="H0750" to anger|strong="H0639" is better|strong="H2896" than the mighty|strong="H1368"; and he that ruleth|strong="H4910" his spirit|strong="H7307" than he that taketh|strong="H3920" a city|strong="H5892".

The lot|strong="H1486" is cast|strong="H2904" into the lap|strong="H2436"; but the whole disposing|strong="H4941" thereof is of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
