1 And now, O ye priests|strong="H3548", this commandment|strong="H4687" is for you.
1 A vós, ó sacerdotes, dou esta ordem:
2 If ye will not hear|strong="H8085", and if ye will not lay|strong="H7760" it to heart|strong="H3820", to give|strong="H5414" glory|strong="H3519" unto my name|strong="H8034", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635", I will even send|strong="H7971" a curse|strong="H3994" upon you, and I will curse|strong="H0779" your blessings|strong="H1293": yea, I have cursed|strong="H0779" them already, because ye do not lay|strong="H7760" it to heart|strong="H3820".
2 Se não me ouvirdes, se não tomardes a peito a glória de meu nome - diz o Senhor dos exércitos -, lançarei contra vós a maldição, trocarei em maldições as vossas bênçãos; aliás, já o fiz, porque não tomastes a peito {as minhas ordens}.
3 Behold, I will corrupt|strong="H1605" your seed|strong="H2233", and spread|strong="H2219" dung|strong="H6569" upon your faces|strong="H6440", even the dung|strong="H6569" of your solemn feasts|strong="H2282"; and one shall take you away|strong="H5375" with it.
3 Eis que vou abater vosso braço, espalhar-vos esterco no rosto - o esterco de vossas festas - e sereis lançados fora com ele.
4 And ye shall know|strong="H3045" that I have sent|strong="H7971" this commandment|strong="H4687" unto you, that my covenant|strong="H1285" might be with Levi|strong="H3878", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635".
4 Então sabereis que fui eu que vos dei esta ordem para que subsista o meu pacto com Levi - diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
5 My covenant|strong="H1285" was with him of life|strong="H2416" and peace|strong="H7965"; and I gave|strong="H5414" them to him for the fear|strong="H4172" wherewith he feared|strong="H3372" me, and was afraid|strong="H2865" before|strong="H6440" my name|strong="H8034".
5 A minha aliança com Levi foi um pacto de vida e prosperidade e também de temor, a fim de que ele temesse o meu nome; e ele temeu-me e sempre teve reverência por meu nome;
6 The law|strong="H8451" of truth|strong="H0571" was in his mouth|strong="H6310", and iniquity|strong="H5766" was not found|strong="H4672" in his lips|strong="H8193": he walked|strong="H1980" with me in peace|strong="H7965" and equity|strong="H4334", and did turn|strong="H7725" many|strong="H7227" away|strong="H7725" from iniquity|strong="H5771".
6 sua boca ensinou a verdade, e não se encontrou perversidade nos seus lábios. Andou comigo na paz e na retidão, e afastou do mal grande número de homens.
7 For the priest’s|strong="H3548" lips|strong="H8193" should keep|strong="H8104" knowledge|strong="H1847", and they should seek|strong="H1245" the law|strong="H8451" at his mouth|strong="H6310": for he is the messenger|strong="H4397" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635".
7 Porque os lábios do sacerdote guardam a ciência e é de sua boca que se espera a doutrina, pois ele é o mensageiro do Senhor dos exércitos.
8 But ye are departed|strong="H5493" out of the way|strong="H1870"; ye have caused many|strong="H7227" to stumble|strong="H3782" at the law|strong="H8451"; ye have corrupted|strong="H7843" the covenant|strong="H1285" of Levi|strong="H3878", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635".
8 Mas vós vos desviastes do caminho reto e fostes causa de muitos vacilarem na lei; violastes o pacto de Levi - diz o Senhor dos exércitos.
9 Therefore have I also made|strong="H5414" you contemptible|strong="H0959" and base|strong="H8217" before all the people|strong="H5971", according|strong="H6310" as ye have not kept|strong="H8104" my ways|strong="H1870", but have been partial|strong="H5375" in the law|strong="H8451".
9 Por isso, eu vos tornei desprezíveis e abjetos aos olhos de todo o povo, porque não guardastes os meus mandamentos e fizestes acepção de pessoas na aplicação da lei.
10 Have we not all one|strong="H0259" father|strong="H0001"? hath not one|strong="H0259" God|strong="H0410" created|strong="H1254" us? why do we deal treacherously|strong="H0898" every man|strong="H0376" against his brother|strong="H0251", by profaning|strong="H2490" the covenant|strong="H1285" of our fathers|strong="H0001"?
10 Acaso não é um mesmo o Pai de todos nós? Não foi um mesmo Deus que nos criou? Por que razão somos pérfidos uns para com os outros, violando assim o pacto de nossos pais?
11 Judah|strong="H3063" hath dealt treacherously|strong="H0898", and an abomination|strong="H8441" is committed|strong="H6213" in Israel|strong="H3478" and in Jerusalem|strong="H3389"; for Judah|strong="H3063" hath profaned|strong="H2490" the holiness|strong="H6944" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* which he loved|strong="H0157", and hath married|strong="H1166" the daughter|strong="H1323" of a strange|strong="H5236" god|strong="H0410".
11 Judá cometeu uma infâmia, a abominação foi perpetrada em Israel e Jerusalém; com efeito, Judá profanou o que é consagrado ao Senhor, porquanto amou e desposou a filha de um deus estrangeiro.
12 The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will cut off|strong="H3772" the man|strong="H0376" that doeth|strong="H6213" this, the master|strong="H5782" and the scholar|strong="H6030", out of the tabernacles|strong="H0168" of Jacob|strong="H3290", and him that offereth|strong="H5066" an offering|strong="H4503" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635".
12 Que o Senhor extermine das tendas de Jacó todo culpado, o que testemunha e o que responde, e o elimine dentre os que apresentam uma oferta ao Senhor dos exércitos.
13 And this have ye done|strong="H6213" again|strong="H8145", covering|strong="H3680" the altar|strong="H4196" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* with tears|strong="H1832", with weeping|strong="H1065", and with crying out|strong="H0603", insomuch that he regardeth|strong="H6437" not the offering|strong="H4503" any more, or receiveth|strong="H3947" it with good will|strong="H7522" at your hand|strong="H3027".
13 Eis ainda outra maldade que cometeis: inundais de lágrimas, prantos e gemidos o altar do Senhor, porque o Senhor não dá atenção alguma a vossas ofertas e não se compraz no que lhe apresentais com vossas mãos.
14 Yet ye say|strong="H0559", Wherefore|strong="H4100"? Because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath been witness|strong="H5749" between thee and the wife|strong="H0802" of thy youth|strong="H5271", against whom thou hast dealt treacherously|strong="H0898": yet is she thy companion|strong="H2278", and the wife|strong="H0802" of thy covenant|strong="H1285".
14 E dizeis: Mas por quê?! É porque o Senhor foi testemunha entre ti e a esposa de tua juventude. Foste-lhe infiel, sendo ela a tua companheira e a esposa de tua aliança.
15 And did not he make|strong="H6213" one|strong="H0259"? Yet had he the residue|strong="H7605" of the spirit|strong="H7307". And wherefore one|strong="H0259"? That he might seek|strong="H1245" a godly|strong="H0430" seed|strong="H2233". Therefore take heed|strong="H8104" to your spirit|strong="H7307", and let none deal treacherously|strong="H0898" against the wife|strong="H0802" of his youth|strong="H5271".
15 Porventura não fez ele um só ser com carne e sopro de vida? E para que pende este ser único, senão para uma posteridade concedida por Deus? Tende, pois, cuidado de vós mesmos, e que ninguém seja infiel à esposa de sua juventude.
16 For the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", saith|strong="H0559" that he hateth|strong="H8130" putting away|strong="H7971": for one covereth|strong="H3680" violence|strong="H2555" with his garment|strong="H3830", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* of hosts|strong="H6635": therefore take heed|strong="H8104" to your spirit|strong="H7307", that ye deal not treacherously|strong="H0898".
16 Quando alguém, por aversão, repudia {a mulher} - diz o Senhor, Deus de Israel -, cobre de injustiça as suas vestes - diz o Senhor dos exércitos. Tende, pois, cuidado de vós mesmos e não sejais infiéis!
17 Ye have wearied|strong="H3021" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* with your words|strong="H1697". Yet ye say|strong="H0559", Wherein have we wearied|strong="H3021" him? When ye say|strong="H0559", Every one that doeth|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451" is good|strong="H2896" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and he delighteth|strong="H2654" in them; or, Where is the God|strong="H0430" of judgment|strong="H4941"?
17 Vós sois pesados ao Senhor com vossos discursos. E perguntais: O quê? Nós o cansamos? - Sim! Porque dizeis: Aquele que faz o mal é bem visto aos olhos do Senhor, que nele se compraz; ou: Onde está Deus, para julgar?
